The Edwards offensive foul was luck, but damn was Affolter’s offensive board HUGE. Then Caitlin bouncing the ball of Paige’s back to burn a few ticks at the end was brilliant.
Credit Hannah for stepping up when Caitlin was struggling.

Respectfully, if this were Game 7 of the NBA Finals and Giannis got called for a moving screen with 3 seconds on the clock, I don't think you'd post that.

Yeah while technically correct, it's a tough call to have go against you.
I don't blame the ref though.
Don't put yourself in the position to have the call happen.

They’ve been making that call all tournament. I personally don’t love it. UConn was still losing. They would have had to make that shot. Iowa still would have had time to win even if they made it. Instead Iowa gives them another chance off a missed free throw and they can’t box out for a rebound? I don’t feel bad for UConn.

Honestly, with sports betting being what it is today, I don't put a lot of stock into what I see on the court these days - NBA or college, especially when it comes to officiating.
There's an Iowa storyline here that has to continue, and I understand that.

It is wild and as storybook as you could want for Caitlin Clark’s final college game. She’s brought so many eyes to the sport this year (and the last couple) that this is a pretty unbelievable way to wrap it
Elite 8 - face the team who beat you in the finals last year and the super villain that is Mulkey
Final 4 - face the legend in Geno & UConn, the coach who you desperately wanted to play for, but who never showed up to scout you
Finals - the undefeated juggernaut in South Carolina, who you beat last season, who also wants revenge
As much as I love Iowa, even I realize they need a damn miracle to beat this South Carolina team, but I believe.

If South Carolina wins, its storybook for them too.

Of course, pretty great ending to the season regardless of who wins.
I have no issue losing to SC. Had this been LSU again, would’ve been another story.

I hope the interest still remains high (obviously this level is impossible) next season for the Hawkeyes rebuild.
They lose Caitlin, Gabbie, Kate & Molly as starters.

What a half. Terrible way for Caitlin to finish an other wise near flawless half. South Carolina not going to Cardoso enough.

Too many giants. SC improved on their weakness last season, which was three point shooting.
Iowa’s shots weren’t falling the second half. Fouls were an issue too.
I’m not nearly as heartbroken as I would’ve been had this been against LSU again or to a lesser extent UConn. Credit Dawn Staley, credit SC.
Love everything Caitlin brought to the game. Respect to Kate & Gabbie for their toughness. Loved Bluder allowing Molly Davis & Sharon Goodman to get out there at the end.
Simply couldn’t defeat the giant again.

Caitlin Clark appearing on Weekend Update tonight and roasting Michael Che was great!
Then in the goodnight she was on stage with Gabbie Marshall, Kate Martin & Jada Gymfi.
Cool seeing the lady Hawks up there with Hollywood heavy hitters like Gosling & Emily Blunt, too.

Was Gregg Doyel always an idiot?
I thought he was a relatively well-respected writer.

Was Gregg Doyel always an idiot? I thought he was a relatively well-respected writer. He’s always been awkward and kind of an idiot. Has been a decent writer though. I shared with my buddy who is also a colts fans the incident of what happened and he asked me if it was Doyell.

Was Gregg Doyel always an idiot? I thought he was a relatively well-respected writer. He was always a little off, which is what I think B and B liked about him. He must have done some things I forgot about because I used to follow him and it's been long enough I forgot the name. I didn't even watch the video because the written PBP was so incredibly cringe.

So he's going to be fired because of the original interaction, because the apology wasn't sincere, and because the apology was too self-serving.
These people end up being like Bernstein where even if I agree with the overall point, the over the top BS associated with it makes me want to rail against it.
