Strowman's a Packers beat writer? Didn't even know he could spell. Although that's not really a requirement up there.

This has been a rough watch tonight. Let’s see if PAC and Rush can make it worth it.

No DQ running out of stories. This was 2 years ago.

Not mentioned is good old Masa and KO’s son on the right.
As someone who watched all the Kevin Steen Weekend Escapades right before he got to WWE, to see his son grown up to being taller than everyone is wild.

His son looks like a 47 year old dad in that pic. Haha.

This quote really hit me. For this director, it sounds like he is talking about AEW from my perspective. I enjoyed AEW and multiverse stories at first. Over time, I became less interested. And maybe this is where the world is going (hell, it is). A majority of popular podcasts cover niche topics. Republicans brand themselves to a niche group of morons. Tony creates dream scenarios for a certain part of the iwc that seems to know everything about every wrestler alive (which is one valid reason why I think randomone enjoys it so much. He’s being rewarded for all his knowledge). The multiverse has gotten so out of control and that’s not to say there still aren’t great and fun movies in there just like AEW (👋 MJF, Ospreay, PAC). It’s just too much for someone looking to be entertained 1-2 hours a week if they’re lucky.
“During an interview with Rolling Stones, ‘LOGAN' director James Mangold says multiverse films are “the death of storytelling.”
“I think it’s the enemy of storytelling … For me, the goal becomes, always, “What is unique about this film, and these characters?” Not making you think about some other movie or some Easter egg or something else, which is all an intellectual act, not an emotional act. You want the movie to work on an emotional level.””

That’s a very interesting take.
From my perspective, if you replaced AEW with WWE, that’s exactly how I felt. I was burned out on WWE, but kept watching because it’s wrestling. I desperately wanted something different and that’s AEW. Are their storylines perfect, absolutely not, but it’s the alternative and I’m very entertained (F4W gig or not) by this product and talent. It caters to my style of wrestling to keep my interest for 2-4 hours a week.
Even with the new leadership in WWE and them kicking the old man to the trash where he belongs, I’m not feeling the need to spend 5 hours a week (definitely not 3 on Mondays) to devote to their product. They’ve become a Twitter show for me where if I see something I like, I’ll seek it out. I do watch PPVs though.
AEW fills my wrestling needs and I’m sure it’s vice versa for members of the “WWE universe”

Logan was a good movie that stood on its own, but also had easter eggs in it for people who knew about them.

And yes as much as I love Marvel and the linked stories that remind me of reading comics in my youth, its a major investment to keep up with it all and it gets exhausting. I think that is why the new Deadpool movie resonates so much. It is crazy fun and yes there are easter eggs and links to the larger universe, but you could have someone who likes action movies and has no idea about anything Marvel or Fox or DC watch that movie and they would enjoy it.

Stokely needs to be the Heenan of AEW. Multiple wrestlers in his stable of talent.

Corny is getting soft. That dude would have ended up with a racquet or bullet to the head 20 years ago.

I think my favorite Corny stories have little to do with actual wrestling history. This killed me. He would have the funniest reality show ever.

The voice alone will be price of admission.
Fuck Hogan, we don’t need a movie about him, especially if he’s somehow associated with it. The lies that movie will have.
