As far as that first album goes, in addition to Kirkwood's favorite Teardrops I think I like Tim McGraw equally. And of course Our Song is just fantastic. Picture To Burn and Should've Said No were both solid offerings.

You have had a helluva 24 hours, and it is still worse than most. Also, if I keep stopping you, it adds time, correct?

The Fearless album came out during a great time in my life. The ambitions she exhibited during it kind of coincided with hopes and dreams that I had at the time too. Shut up, Hawger, I realize it sounds corny.

I'm not really ignoring. Unfortunately.

Fearless definitely got away from country but you could clearly see she was gonna become an icon. Love Story and You Belong with Me were MONSTER hits. My favorite performance of Love Story is with her and Def Leppard on Crossroads. Fantastic.

White Horse is so underrated. I don't believe it charted well. It's real close to being right there with Tim McGraw and Teardrops but I have it a notch or two below.
I never really liked Fifteen. Can't full explain it but it didn't do a lot for me.
The actual Fearless song from that Fearless album is incredibly SOLID.

So from the Fearless album, I'd have to go:
Love Story You Belong with Me Fearless White Horse

Taylor's debut album was great, Fearless was great, but Speak Now took things to a whole new level for me. Pretty sure when I'm done with this whole thing that Speak Now will have at least 2 (twooooooo) songs in the Top 5.

First of all, in addition to being a woefully underrated tune, The Story of Us produced one of the greatest gif's of all time.

And another thing with Speak Now is that if you didn't realize by that time what a force she was to be reckoned with, you had basically no excuse to play dumb about afterwards.
Speak Now is where she finally started to learn how to sing, which is really saying something considering the success of her first two albums.
It also had to dawn on people that she was basically churning out an album per year at that point. And doing her own songwriting.

Sparks Fly is my third favorite song off Speak Now.
Speak Now the song was also a solid offering.
Mine was a favorite of many but not mine. (I don't hate it but doubt it would make a Top 30 list.)

What blows me away about Speak Now is that it may very well contain my favorite ballad from Taylor as well as my favorite upbeat song.
The thing she did with that album is something else. She made social statements. She hit her ballad out of the park. And she kicked out 6 more strong Billboard charting songs.
Just listening to it right now, I think Mean is my all time favorite song from Taylor. Everything about it is incredible. The sound. The look. The Live performances. The message. It's pretty much the song that made a lot of haters take notice. It was the song that made a lot of people realize that she was much, much more than a one trick pony.
And then there's the ballad. Back To December. This might very well be my #2 favorite all time song from her. Not sure it will be by the end of the night because there's another song I have in mind but man. The sheer raw power and energy she gave to that song was unreal.
There's a performance of her's that I absolutely love. Some of the notes were kind of flat but the emotion she displayed that night was incredible. And it was 5 years ago and she seemed pretty damn nervous at first. Plus she looked like Hillary Duff that night. So like I say, there's better versions of the song itself but I'm not sure there's better performances:

Why didn't you just list 30 damn songs? Because I don't even know what they are yet, meanie!!! I'm working my way though her awesomeness. The full list will be up by the morning. (Or probably midnight but I'm sure you'll be asleep by then)

Would you rather see a list of 30 songs or all my awesome thoughts that lead up to that awesome list? ......wait. Don't answer that. Anywho, this is very therapeutic for me. I haven't "Taylor'd out" in a long, long time.
