Why you would not have the culmination of the Daniel Bryan rise end with a decisive victory over the champ at Mania is something I can not understand. There is literally no reason not to do it.
I will choose to believe that this is the WWE trying to throw people off of the "Bryan wins the Rumble" scent.

Daniel Bryan will face Bray Wyatt in a one-on-one bout at Royal Rumble, but he told STCommunities.com that he is not scheduled for the 30-man match:
"As of now, I'm not in the 30-man Royal Rumble match, I'm trying to get involved in it. (WWE) COO Triple H doesn't want me anywhere in the Royal Rumble match."
I'm now more confident than ever than Bryan will be in the Rumble. Vince will put him in and Bryan will win.

I said when I posted the list it could be a smokescreen. But the SummerFest buy rate pops into my head. When asked, Vince said "SummerSlam was not the right attraction. That was a swing and a miss." He obviously hates the idea of Daniel Bryan being champion. I'm sure Vince looks at him in disgust, but tolerated it because of the reaction. Summer Slam was just what he needed to convince himself he's right. He would now go against his judgement, and numbers backing it. Except this time it would be with the Wrestlemania main event. I really hope I'm wrong, but I don't see it.

Ok, so I'm talking to Score Jr. and I just keep coming up with awesome idea after awesome idea.
After reading that Taker wanted to work with Bryan, here's how you get them there.
The last 8 in the ring are The Shield, Wyatts, Punk and Bryan. Somewhere in there, the Shield/Wyatt rivalry starts as things happen where they screw each other etc....
Eventually, everybody is eliminated except Bryan and Bray.
Suddenly, up from under the ring and right through the apron comes TAKER!!
Taker acts like he's gonna go after Bray but then suddenly turns and attacks Bryan and throws him out of the ring.
Taker then leaves the ring (was never an official entrant) and Bray now has the title shot. (Which could also get them to the rumored Bray/Cena match)
The tie-in to Taker/Wyatts/Kane is there as well.
At that point, you have to have Bryan/Taker go on last, with Bryan ending the streak and doing the Yes!!! chant.

- Kofi is in the Rumble, I wonder how he'll avoid elimination this year? He's done a handstand, pogo stick announce chair in past years. I'm going piggy backing an official for this year.
- I think The Rhodes Bros retain the tag titles, but Cody eliminates Goldust in the Rumble, they'll lose the titles at the Chamber, match at Mania.
