I’ve been jumping around.
I’ve watched Hogan, Sasha, Flair & now Orton. I’ll watch the rest tomorrow night.
I’ve been enjoying these. The choices for some of the people who they interview is weird though. Dr. Phil, Sam Roberts, Mike Golic, Michelle Beadle, etc. They aren’t on super long or anything, but it’s just odd choices.

The Miz episode is incredible. As I'm watching this, there's money in a Miz/Bron Breakker feud. "You had everything handed to you! Your dad is Rick FREAKING Steiner. My dad is George."

I'm probably being silly, but these Heels documentaries have the potential to be a big deal. Let's say you kind of mock wrestling but were bored. You liked Cena's show so you give these a shot. How do you not at least get it? I'm not saying watch every week and listen to podcasts. But just say "OK, I kind of understand this now."

Orton one was really good stuff. Early background, early fuck ups in wrestling with his attitude, how he fixed it and how he can play a proper villain.
They do randomly cut to the Fiend bullshit that I could’ve done without since that’s been his weakest storyline ever, but the rest was excellent.
Brothers of Destruction is everything you’ve seen and heard already. Which isn’t surprising since they’ve done about as much on them as you can.

But did you notice when they showed the clip of him beating Orton for the title, they edited out all of Michael Cole's commentary? They ramped up the boos and dubbed him with someone else, I think Jimmy Smith. Even some weird squeeky noises whenever Miz would kick Orton's leg. It was really strange.
But hey, editing out Michael Cole commentary is something I'll never be against.

What's funny about these EVIL docs is they're pulling back the curtain more than ever but making it seem more real in the process.

The Roman one was excellent. Only tiny part I didn’t like was, (correct me if I’m wrong) did fans boo Roman relentlessly in his Mania match against McIntyre when he came back from leukemia? I don’t remember that being the case at all. They edited it like he was booed out of the building. I certainly don’t remember it that way. Also they dubbed calling Afa & Sika the Samoan Swat Team in WWF when they were the Wild Samoans. I’m nitpicking I know.
Little things like that here and there on these eps with the overly dubbed boos/cheers is just a very minor complaint on an otherwise very enjoyable series.
I highly recommend checking it out for those who haven’t. Solid binge watch.

I for some reason popped on the Raw in 93 when the Quebecers beat the Steiners for the tag titles in Quebec Rules.
That match sucked. First 4 minutes with Steiners running wild was great but then the heat on Scott came and Jacques & Pierre were slow, sloppy, gassed for like 15 straight minutes. It went through 3 commercials and went like 23 minutes. Not to mention Earl Hebner was at his absolute worst as bumbling official.
It got me thinking, the Steiners run in WWF wasn’t that great. Despite working pretty much every team (Shrinkers, Bodies, Money Inc a bunch), their push in the tag division pretty much ended right after Summerslam. Yet they were there until like May/June of 94 weren’t they? I remember Scott losing a KOTR qualifier to IRS I think.
They could’ve done so much more in the year and half they were there

They missed the late-80s/early 90s wave of The Rockers, Hart Foundation, LOD, Demolition, Power & Glory, Nasty Boys, etc. But they were too early for the late-90s era of Bulldog & Owen, Outlaws, DOA, LOD, Boricuas, Furnas & LaFon, Nation of Domination, etc. When I think of the Steiners in the WWF, I think of tag team purgatory.

It's that weird transition time from when the Natural Disasters broke up, Money Inc broke up, Nastys were fired. Beverlys broke up.
Only team the Steiners didn't wrestle were Men on a Mission and thankfully Bushwhackers. They did all the could, but like you said, it was slim pickens.
Man, fantasy book late 80s/early 90s Steiners in the WWF tag division would be great.

Mid '93 to late '96 is like the Twilight Zone for WWF tag teams.

I just watched a RAW where the Quebecers were supposed to wrestle Barry Horowitz and Barry Hardy. Horowitz got on the mic (you read that right) and said Hardy had the flu but would like a suitable replacement. He picked the 123 Kid. It was Barry & The Kid vs Quebecers for the Tag Team titles in 93! WTF? I don’t remember this at all.
Also Jacques was “knocked out” and stretchered out, so Pierre just won a handicap match with zero effort.
This post Summerslam 93 era is weird.

The episode when Crush turns on Savage, we had Savage stay quiet on commentary all night until he was prodded by Heenan. Finally Savage unloaded and shoehorned Hogan into it saying Hogan is a backstabber and a liar. Savage is worried Crush has been talking to Hogan, which made Crush have such a change in attitude towards Savage.
This was right after Savage lit up Hogan on Radio WWF.
I don't remember any of this happening on RAW, so while the action is pretty shitty, there's bits and pieces I have no recollection of.

Watching the 88 Survivor Series. This 10 team tag match that went 40 minutes.
It’s amazing we never got a Bulldogs vs Brain Busters match, but Arn & Tully came in around October of 88 and Davey & Kid were gone after the PPV.
Tully and Davey had a brief interaction in the match and it got me thinking of what could’ve been.

Yeah, that fight with the Rougeaus earlier in the year pretty much sealed the Bulldogs' fate.
The Rockers also came in right in the summer of '88 and they kinda replaced the Bulldogs as the white-meat babyface team. The Rockers and the Busters had some of the best tag matches in wrestling in '88 and '89.

That whole tag match is so weird. It’s the most stacked talent of tag teams (Bulldogs, Arn/Tully, Harts, Rockers, Rougeaus, Stallions, Demolition, Powers of Pain, Bolsheviks & Conquistadors)
But the match is focused on the double turn with Fuji, Demolition & POP. The crowd seemed really confused by it all. I mean it’s cool they tried it, but fans confused whether to clap or boo Warlord & Barb when they’re hoisting Fuji on their shoulders was odd.

Yeah, a lot of the fans read it as a Fuji face turn.

Nick Khan has a Cody checklist but with McMahons on it until he gets to the top of the mountain.
Linda (check) Shane (check) Paul & his NXT (check) Steph (check) Vince ( )
One quick Tonya Harding attack on the old man and he’s the king of the castle!
