I decided to just watch the KOTRs. Fuckin Art Donovan.
Everyone remembers “how much does this guy weigh?” But I’m watching Kid vs Jarrett and Kid is selling his leg, while Art is calling Jarrett a cutie, haha
Gorilla & Savage completely ignore him after about the 4th match and don’t even talk to him anymore. Art keeps asking who these guys are and you get crickets from the other two.
Owen vs Kid fucking ruled for 3:30. Art asking what the Sharpshooter was and got nothing, lol.

KOTR 94 and Art "O'Donnell" (as Gorilla called him), was a case of Vince being so involved in his trial that he could give two fucks what was going on here. If I recall correctly, I think Jerry Jarrett was booking with Patterson during that period.

I will say this, as bad as Art Donovan was, it doesn’t hold a candle to the hunk of shit the entire KOTR 95 PPV was.
That’s I believe the worst WWF PPV ever. And yea, I’m counting ECWWE’s December to Dismember.

Agreed on KOTR '95 being the worst WWF pay per view. To be honest, December to Dismember was bad but it wasn't THAT bad. Great American Bash 2004 was probably as bad or worse than December to Dismember.

The only match of this show I remembered was the Kiss my Foot match.
This show was truly awful. So many Savio Vega matches, including the Coliseum Video "exclusive" to start the show against Papa Fiend.

What if Owen won the title at Survivor Series 94 instead of Backlund? I Quit with Bret and Owen and Owen is begging his mother ringside not to throw in the towel while he’s trapped in the Sharpshooter. Helen, so distraught at seeing her baby in so much pain, even at the hands of her other son, grabs the nearest towel and throws it in. Until we all realize she’s thrown the towel in for Bret by mistake and the ref has no choice and calls the match for Owen and the title. Helen doesn’t realize what she’s done, as she’s comforting Owen, who is now champion. If this was a Russo swerve, Helen would’ve been in on it, but it’s not, Helen is just a sweet old woman wanting to protect her son from, well, her other son. Lawler could’ve even roasted her about being senile.
If you wanted Diesel to win at MSG soon after, whatever, fine, but Owen would’ve gotten his moment by unintentional shenanigans.
I bring this up because I just saw a clip of Backlund from 94 on The Cock and he’s just so out of place feuding with Bret to end the year. Owen winning the title, albeit quickly, would've been great.
