JR surprisingly sucks as an interviewer. I really don't like his show. He is not natural at all. When he does commercial reads, I crack up. Its horrible. He seems to use this platform to basically lash out at marks and pat himself on the back. He's done it every show. He looks for validation from his guests. It has gotten old real quick.
Jericho covers a range of topics so his guests can be hit or miss to me. He and Stone Cold have such a great conversational style they bring to their shows. That's so key in the radio/podcast medium and its something JR doesn't get.

I'm probably the biggest JR mark on the board, or ever. It's a rough go so far. He tries too hard. He's a pro, and will settle in.

I'm fully behind JR. He's in a really weird position. He'd love to do what he does best but WWE just won't let him.
He could've done shows as a shill and we probably would've heard him more here and there.
That wasn't him.
But he obviously still has some sort of relationship with them as he still does certain things for them over the Network and still has his products sold on WWE.com.
It's gotta suck to be the best at something in your field but not given a chance to display it.

JR's podcast with Lita made me itchy. I would suggest listening just to see how uncomfortable it makes you. I think he verbally sexually assaulted her about 10-15 times during it.

I listened to Lita on Cabana's and Jericho's podcasts. I don't need another dose.
The latest 2 Uncensored podcasts from Austin are him shooting the shit with stories. Awesome.

Sooooo after listening to Lita on the Colt Cabana podcast I cant be the only one that thinks she was down in Mexico sucking dick for money/free training. She said she was a stripper at some local strip club and than would go across the street after she would get off stage and not be bothered with the clients...but she had enough money to go live in Mexico and be trained and all that shit.
Yeah she was turning tricks out there.

My favorite podcast of all time isn't on the list. MLW Radio also on itunes and sticher. I don't watch rasslin much anymore. I just listen to MLW and the SCSA show every day. Those are the only 2 I consider required listening. (and watching NXT of course). Free podcasts every Sunday night with hosts Konnan, Court Bauer, and MSL. Don't let the name scare you. It's not a podcast about a defunct indy fed from 12 years ago. Its just that it was started by Court, who ran MLW. A free weekly Jim Cornette show and every Wednesday you get a show with Court and John Pollok from the LAW. If you get a VIP membership, its only 15 bucks a year and you get a bunch of bonus shows (Group Therapy with MSL and Drop In's gal, Alice Radley), a bonus Cornette show which is 90% Q&A, a writers roundtable show with Alex Greenfield every week. Tons of other stuff. Sometimes guest, sometimes not. Everyone from Warrior, to Meltzer, Juvi, Joe as guests. I think last week was Disco. Cornette had Lisa Marie on last week and they talked Chicago, the squared circle and Svengoolie for an hour. I wasn't much of a Konnan guy during the wars, but he's hands down my funniest guy the last year or two. Another former writer Andrew Goldstein is on a lot too. Two keys here: 1) Konnan is insanely hilarious. Buries everything and everyone, but in a funny, non-dickish way. 2) Court and Greenfield are former creative. Greeny was head writer of Smackdown for years. Sooo many Vince stories. Tons of Nitro days stories from Konnan. Absolutely nothing is off limits. Court is very well connected still. He breaks all of the news I hear, usually 2-3 days before Big Dave and the rest of the net. Most of the shows are timeless. Not a ton of current talk. They'll talk about that week's Raw for 5 minutes. Sometimes TNA is in there. Even if you don't like Konnan, you will after listening to the show. ABOUT THE HOSTS KONNAN | @konnan5150 | www.Konnan.meLucha Libre powerbroker, AAA matchmaker and an iconic luchador are just a few bullets on this Miami native's resume. Konnan's hustled and headlined both in the United States for WCW and TNA as well as blazed a hall of fame career in Mexico. Konnan has no doubt seen and done it all and along the way sparked a few controversies. Known for having a keen eye for talent and a great mind for the sport, Konnan is also the man responsible forintroducing the world to the likes of Rey Mysterio and countless other luchadores to the national and international stage from the 90s to the present. Today, he's not only contributing to AAA's rapid growth and global expansion but every promoter's go-to man for Mexican's best wrestlers, while maintaining his repuation for grabbing headlines for his refreshingly unfiltered, politcally incorrect real talk. And now he has his own show. #Boom. MISTER SAINT LAURENT | @msluniverse | www.M.SLMister Saint Laurent joined MLW in 2002, starting out as an assistant at MLW events, working under the promotional division before going on to work his way up through the industry to the broadcast booth position. When not in the booth, Saint Laurent could be also found crushing the competition around the country with his massive 6'3" 350 pound frame. Along the way, "MSL" would also become a matchmaker for several regional wrestling outlets, all culminating in paving the way for a reputation as one of the brightest young minds in the sport… and a nice cozy seat in the broadcast booth for this very show! COURT BAUER | @courtbauer | www.CourtBauer.comWriter, producer, brand developer and the founder of Major League Wrestling (MLW), Court Bauer is regular on the MLW Radio to break it down with the crew. From his times as a WWE creative executive to producing TV programming today, Court is never at a loss for a crazy and entertaining stories or insight on the sports and entertainment industies. all shows here: mlwradio.libsyn.com/I'm also pretty damn sure that Court is Cranky Vince. edit: it's worth listening to just to hear the story of when Vince wanted a Blue Dot graphic over Christian's face on tv at all times. Actually 50% of the show is Vince stories from guys who worked with him all day and were on the jet with VKM every night.

I'm an ass. You had The Cornette Show listed at #6.
Now get on the rest of the MLW shows. The Cornette Show is probably the third best show in the MLW "network".

JR's podcast with Lita made me itchy. I would suggest listening just to see how uncomfortable it makes you. I think he verbally sexually assaulted her about 10-15 times during it. It was incredibly uncomfortable. You could tell there were at least five times Lita was silent for a couple seconds after being asked a question. He then compared wrestling bears and donkey shows to her cage match with Victoria. Seriously. JR is my guy, but this podcast needs serious work. First, he jokes about the location in Oklahoma. I think he needs people around and energy. The Lita interview sounded like a sixty-year old guy in his recliner trying to get phone sex. I don't need screaming JR. I get that in the first five seconds of every show, which is five times louder than the show. But sitting by yourself in a converted Oklahoma gas station can't be great for business.

I tried the first 2 minutes of the first JR show and I'm out.
Podcast highlight of the day..catching up on the Austin show. Jim Johnston episode. Austin singing Kung-Fu fighting > two torn groins from kung-fu kicks.
If anyone wants to sample any of the MLW VIP stuff, let me know.

Listened to the Wrestlemania podcast with Jake The Snake Roberts and I got uncomfortable listening to him talk. I think between him and Warrior they might have to wait for the future Hall of gamers to pass away before inducting them. Both are nuts.

JR's my guy, so I'm going to give him a couple more weeks. I hope one of his boys has the balls to tell him it's a rough go. "JEEEESUS CHRIST JIM. YOU SOUND LIKE ONE OF THEM DAMN MARKS THAT WOULD BE A DATE RAPIST IF THEY COULD GET A MOTHER FUCKING DATE! WHAT IN THE FUCK! PULL IT TOGETHER SON!" On that note, listening to Stone Cold discuss Craig's List is one of the highlights of the year.

It was very disturbing and that's coming from ME. Think about that. Anywho, I'll still be listening to most of his podcasts. As long as it's strictly wrestling guests, I'm sure I'll listen. JR the broadcaster is amazing but the same things that work for him on TV tend to work against him on this type of outlet. But now it's a whole new level. It's fun bad. Or uncomfortable bad. Either way, it's a thing.

good man! Not a bad ep. Most are much better actually. Just finished a free show from big dave's site. Pretty good show, Lance is always boring but he's always right about everything when you break things down logically. Three of my four favorite guys on that site on 1 show.
