After being so mad after that cliffhanger I can't lie... I am fucking stoked for tonight. My guess is Glen gets Lucille to the mush. I haven't read the comics or any spoilers so don't @ me motherfuckers.

Only people I truly hope don't die in the series is Daryl & Carol.
Maggie too because she's hot, but I worry she's not going to make it much farther. Being preggers sucks in the zombie apocalypse. And if Glenn does. She's lost literally everyone. Hope she doesn't take her own life.
Psyched the Cubs won last night so I don't have to miss this!

I know the bragging dog picture belongs in the wrestling thread, but for this episode, I'm going to make an exception.
Negan is the badass motherfucker of a villain this show has desperately needed. The Governor was crazy, but Negan is a whole other level.
The two deaths were expected, but the scene with Carl & Rick was fucking bone chilling. |

Alexandria made Rick soft. No other explanation. He is alone with Neegan with an axe in a closed quarters RV. WTMF. I saw this guy bite someone's throat out and you are telling me after seeing 2 of his ppl get brutally murdered he is going to go into shellshock? No fucking way. This is bullshit.

He wasn't completely #BROKEN by the deaths.
It was the Carl stuff that DELETED him.

I actually don't want to see Maggie for a while, I want her to go get the help she needs, have the baby, get healthy (as healthy as one could), come back as this badass chick who takes on the leader role. Out for revenge.
She's on her own now, everyone she's loved has died. Use this as a way to reinvent her character.

There's so many damn groups of characters now, but I'm oddly ok with it. The Kingdom is a different group we really haven't seen before.
Aside from Daryl, Carol is my favorite character on the show, so having an episode of pretty much just hers, I loved it.
Especially love the fake sweet/smiling through the bullshit Carol.

I love Negan so damn much as a villain. With The Governor, you only saw moments on him being ruthless, lots of slow parts with him. Negan is a heartless motherfucker from the moment he's on screen & it keeps me interested.
There's so many people on this show it's hard to keep track & I've been watching since the beginning! And I know there's even more to come.
We're back to mopey bitch Rick again. The same mopey bitch Rick who liked to garden after Lori died.
Yet after Negan & crew left and someone from Alexandria stands up to him, THEN he decides to grow some balls & threaten to break his jaw. Ugh Rick, don't make me hate you. |

Between last weeks Teen Beat ep with Carl and Enid & this weeks rather boring ep, The Walking Dead has seriously been struggling this season. I get everything will be tied together & it has, seeing as Negan & the Saviors pretty much run everything, but damn, this is like Woodbury with how slow shit has been going.
There's so many damn people on this show that the regular cast seems to only be on like 3-4 episodes on the half season.
Also didn't care for the comedy stylings of Tara this episode. She seemed way too condescending & funny, which I don't seem to remember her being at all. I do like her as a character, but she seemed to jokey for the situation happening.
Alexandria, Hilltop, The Saviors, The Kingdom and now Oceanside. TOO DAMN MANY PEOPLE! 2 eps left in this part of the season.

While nice to see (again) the consequences of the gang's attack on the outpost last year, we already got that from Hillside. We don't need it here too.
They are dragging this out. All out war won't happen til next season.

Last night's ep was awesome from a storytelling standpoint. Pretty much all Negan & his greatness.
I've never cheered for a villain more than I am with Negan. I want him to slaughter everyone.
Mid season finale next week. Something big needs to happen to keep interest until February (I think that's when it returns).
Only big complaint aside from there being 900 people on this show now is that they talk about a different group for 1 ep & never go back to it. I mean why even bother introducing The Kingdom in episode 2, when we haven't gone back to it since? |

Liked certain parts of the mid season finale. Daryl escaping, smashing in the fat dudes skull, Negan pouring the guts out of Spencer, then Olivia getting jacked.
Aside from that, hated the make out sesh between Rick & Michonne, didn't think we needed that. Too much mopey/bitch Rick still. I mean I get it, now the 2nd part of the season is them "Rising Up" but c'mon, a couple head nods & hugs and we're off until February?
They need something monumental to happen in February. We know Negan isn't going anywhere, he's already signed on for the next season.
Like the show as a whole still, but my interest is fading quickly. Negan as a villain is the only thing keeping me interested. And wondering what Maggie will do. Aside from that, nothing.

Yup. There's so many damn characters & only 8 episodes per half season to actually develop storylines for every single one of them. We get like 1 episode (if that) for a person to explain their arc for the season.
I know producers are saying what's going to happen in the finale will majorly build to the future of the show, but I'm thinking shit, I might not stick around much longer to see what happens in the future.
To think this show will be going on in even a few years is exhausting to think about. Used to be anxious to see what happens each week, now it feels like a chore this season.

This whole season has been about getting ready for war next season. I'd expect that to last the entire season.
They keep talking about Walking Dead going on forever and I am exhausted just thinking about it.

Haven't watched yet. Will get caught up either late tonight or tomorrow.
This season better improve from the last few seasons. They're adding like 87 people per season & it's getting ridiculous.
I feel like it's season 8 & I've invested so much time into this show that I can't bail now. At some point it needs to end though. I don't want to be 6 years from now and they're still puttin' along.
