Dan Bernstein @dan_bernstein 6m
Again this year he chose to donate his b-day gifts to @luriechildrens. Many kids do similarly, now, which is great. pic.twitter.com/40DPLnM6ch
I don't know where to begin with this. For another day...

You're just mad he's wearing a Patriots sweatshirt.

Little Danny was guilted into giving away all of his presents and is having a joyless birthday because of it.
He's also a Patriots fan.

The fact that Big Danny has to make sure to tweet this to the world. Its annoying. He acts like it was some huge sacrifice for little Danny. Little Danny already has everything he could want in terms of possessions. And then the other part of me wants to puke because you know this was pushed by Big Danny and once again, big Danny has taken the pure joy out of something for his son, like his birthday. Nice gesture. I questions motives and pat on the backs.

Guy is bragging about his kid on social media.
To people who actively follow him.
Isn't that kind of normal?

Nice gesture. I questions motives and pat on the backs. First, a disclaimer. I don't even follow Bernstein on Twitter. I still like the show, but it's too much. I think Big and Little Dan, unlike Big and Little Jerry, know what they have in life. At the very least, I think I've heard Big Dan say "the kid knows he's not suffering from the loss of gifts." It's a nice gesture, and Bernstein saying something on Twitter isn't exactly like noting it within the seven page letter inside a Christmas card. Well, I don't think the Bernstein's are sending Christmas cards, but you get it. He's a public figure that could legitimately get others to do the same. I'd love to see the video of Maddux Boy dragging his child through the automatic doors, *tears*, screaming "THIS IS WHAT WE DO!!"

I think you are giving him way too much credit. And I'm a fan of the show and think he is the best sports talker in the city. This fits nicely with his holier than thou bragging narrative and the "he never lets his kids enjoy any moments of being a kid" narrative. At some point coincidence becomes correlation.

He told his son he'll never be a professional baseball player. I'm not sure if that's going to lead to being a better adjusted adult, or a 26 year old laying on a psychiatrist's couch. That's why I don't have any kids that I know about.
