TNA has once again fallen on their collective face. The "Genesis" of TNA was similar to a rerun. Overbooking, horrible backstage promos, and a bad, albeit free, main heel. By the way, I know I'm buying Samuel Shaw after he beat up Simon Diamond. It's possible I'm the only person that knew he was beating up Simon Diamond. Dixie is trying so hard to get over as a heel. There are all of the standard pieces in place. But it's not going to work. But don't worry, the "investor" is on the way.
We all know "the investor" will be a letdown. After contract negotiations with Hornswoggle go south, it will end up being Joseph Park's sister Abby. She'll actually be an attorney. A 6'8" cross dressing female attorney. A consortium of attorneys, represented by Abby, will be the co-owner. After that Austin Aries will have an awesome match. Nobody will care, most won't watch. It's a shame. If the Carter Family isn't lying, here's what they should do. Note: They are lying and want out.
The American Dragons, or whatever they're called now, is a nice start. Since they already F'd it up, let that roll for three weeks. After they wrestle, have them continue to be "The Investor's" face. Next week, they say "he's coming back!" On the live Impact, Jeff Hardy's music hits. Jeff Hardy teams with the Dragons, and out comes Mike Bennett and Maria. Maria slaps Dixie, interference of whatever match ends. "The Investor's" group goes over. After a couple weeks, here comes Nigel McGuiness. He asks if everyone forgot about him. He's been running a different show, and someone was paying attention.
After three months, an ROH figurehead comes out, and says it's a full blown war. Spike felt Dixie was out of control, and they were looking elsewhere. In turn, people with an interest in ROH decided to take a cut of TNA. You get one month of awesome matches, but the investor hasn't been revealed. Come May, Dixie says the court has demanded someone show their face! Out comes the one, the only, A.J. Styles.
Dixie: YOU?!? YOU DID THIS TO ME?!?
A.J.: Dixie, I'd love to have been "The One" that developed this plan. I'm back, and I will once again be the TNA Champion. I have a rock solid contract. But I'm not the main investor. But the court is the court, and I'm here to represent your co-owner.
Tensions are hot. The rebel group has already won titles, but they're starting to lose occasionally. New blood is in on occasion. On an Impact in early July, the lights go out. Spotlights everywhere. Could it be Sting?!?!?! Whoever the current spokesperson is says "Don't worry Dixie, it's not Sting!" But "The Investor" is coming in two weeks. If you'll pardon the expression. (They don't have to say that but it would be cool)
It's time. The big reveal. The crowd is chanting. Somehow these nerds already know. CM PUNK! CM PUNK!!! CM PUNK!!!!! CM PUNK!!!!!!!!! Did I mention they booked this show at the Sears Centre? CM Punk, with a lofty Hogan deal, has joined TNA.
Business talk here. He's already talked about retiring. This would allow him to work limited dates, have first class travel wherever, and almost complete creative control. The first sellout crowd in the history of TNA is going absolutely nuts, with the faction in the ring. CM Punk drops a pipe bomb about everything. The crowd can't take it. Punk says, "By the way, it's not just me."..............out comes Paul Heyman. End show. You just created your alternative, legit number two to WWE. Book it, and take everyone's damn money.
