This past week was an absolute shit show:
No. 3 Clemson lost at home to no. 5 Florida State
No. 6 LSU lost on the road to unranked Ole Miss
No. 7 Texas A&M lost at home to no. 24 Auburn
No. 8 Louisville lost at home to unranked UCF
No. 9 UCLA lost on the road to no. 13 Stanford
No. 11 South Carolina lost on the road to unranked Tennessee
No. 15 Georgia lost on the road to unranked Vanderbilt
No. 20 Washington lost on the road to unranked Arizona State
The Ohio State almost lost to Iowa.
The Clemson loss wasn't really an upset as FSU was favored. Even though Missouri, The U and Baylor are undefeated I think these three teams are a tier above the undefeated:
1. Oregon
2. Alabama
3. Florida State

Finally the Rock's old team has had its punishment handed down...... after years and years and a mess of an investigation. 9 scholarships over the next 3 year. No bowl ban though they did sit out the last 2 on their own.

Northwestern lost to Iowa 17-10. Northwestern is now on a 4-game losing streak which started with the close lost to the Buckeyes at home. I can understand losing to @ Wisconsin the next week as a let down. But dropping games to Gophers and now Hawkeyes?!?! Nebraska had a bye and still did lose to Gophers which is pretty crazy. I'm embarassed for the Big Ten. Our conference just sucks so much ass.

God Illinois sucks. I've never seen a team allow 14 of 15 3rd down conversions. I thought the Bears were bad. Getting to third down is difficult for the Bears D. Skews the third down conversion stats. |

I believe my sophomore year the football team lost every game. Very familiar with that scene.
And to your other point, the list at the bottom of the main page is quite a list. Nice to digest a few things without the rancor now and again.

Ugh, that's just not good. U of I needs a Schiano/RichRod retread or a young mad scientist guy like Kevin Wilson. The Hoosiers are still losing but at least it's in a very entertaining fashion.

Great PAC 12 match up is going on with UCLA at Oregon. Two 1st round QBs in Hundley and Mariota squaring off. Later tonight is going to be another good one with Oregon St and Stanford.
Depressing that B1G doesn't have these.

I am totally not surprised by the way this game is going. I was invited to a "Come watch the game at the student center" event tonight and passed. Looks like I made a good decision. |

Iowa was -4 on Saturday at home to Northwestern. Didn't think there was a chance they win with NW still looking for their first Big Ten win. Boy, the 'Cats have just completely fallen apart.

Heard Pete Fiutek on B&B the other day and he suggested the Illini should hire Bobby Petrino. I think Bernstein soiled himself when he heard that. Any thoughts on Petrino as an Illini coach.

He is a great coach, he had things rolling at Arkansas til he forgot how to drive his motorcycle. Hopefully he has learned his lessons, somebody is going to give him another shot, might as well be Illinois.
