Hawger listens to the Spiegel show. Probably Mully & Hanley too.

I still listen to Mac & Spiegel. I'm more likely to listen to Boers & Bernstein. Not as much as I did a few years ago. It's mostly background noise, but I will schedule activities involving background noise around the Score's commercial schedule. I've also found a reduced amount of discussion about sports radio to be a welcome change in my life. It makes listening more enjoyable.

No I have not listened to sports radio since Mac returned. Is that just a coincidental timing thing or specifically because Mac returned?

I listen to it damn near every day. I do my best not to listen to Mac & Spiegs now that Mac is back. Laurence's show has been quality.

However, there's no reason to post anything just so I can have a conversation with myself.

I kind of lied when I said I haven't listened since maybe the day after new years. I have listened but only to the saturday morning crew.....before white sox weekly starts of course.

Sometimes I hear it when I'm working on things in the garage.
Mully & Hanley are on way too early for me and thankfully I miss the entire show.
I'm not really a Laurence guy but I will say the Spiegel show was a zillion times better when it was MeatPants and Laurence.
I hardly ever hear B&B since I'm afraid to turn the channel when The Big Show is on. For some fricken reason, 2 out of the 3 times I've heard B&B recently, they had that Bob from Niles dude on and it's absolutely the worst radio segment in the history of radio segments.

I've elimated a lot of negative noise in my life. Sports radio is one of those things. Its funny in small doses, but I think its not a good thing to be listening to for a long time. Its a lot of arguing and negativity and I do think it plays with your demeanor whether you realize it or not. It did for me at least. Over the last six months I've eliminated a lot of negativity that was surrounding me. I've also learned to let things go. It has made a tremendous impact on my quality of life.

Excellent points. I don't get any of those negative vibes when listening to WSSP. The Score is non stop bitching and whining and then candyass vaginapants gets me in a pissy mood just from listening to him speak. Eliminating the score has been great. The weekend guys i listen to occasionally are pretty chill so it doesnt harsh out my vibe either.

i've still got the score/b&b listening habit ingrained in my psyche/subconscious so i often find myself defaulting to 670 between 1-6 (i can't say that i've had any sort of habits ingrained for 9-1 or earlier/later, tho i try to lend an ear to the levine not-talking-baseball show that's on saturdays from 8-9 or 8-10 or whatever now. i was bummed when they got rick renteria for an interview then had the mandate to go to hockey, which levine was still harping on today)
ahem. but yeah it's a hard habit to break, though dan and bob in niles are making it easier and easier. i've always had a 2-headed-monster with thom hartmann on WCPT/820 from 2-5, as i think thom's smarter than the average "liberal" show and he does a good job of having conservative guests on and not having it devolve into a post-crossfire-style shouting match (like when you get 4 guests at once on piers morgan or something) --- it's easy for me cuz the first two segments pretty much line up, except thom goes to break circa 27 after the hour so then if you bailed from the score during segment 1 or segment 2 you can go back for the update/segment and then flip back to thom by about ~38-40 after the hour and go until they hit a commercial circa 45 after, which then allows you to go back to the score for a segment or until thom comes back from like ~51-57-58 after the hour.
the trump card this season/year has been the addition of talkSPORT to my radio palate as last year/season i only watched the EPL broadly with no horse in the race, but then by the end of the 12-13 season my gut compelled me to pull for the mighty arsenal, so now this 13-14 season i've had a horse in the race so i've been more prone to reading british sports rags and listening to their veritable ESPNradio sports talker, the afore-named talkSPORT. if b&b are ascending atop the soapbox/bully-pulpit to talk down to me and tell me why i'm an idiot (i even had abbatacola do a 2-3min rant on "[my] dumbass tweet" that wrongly accused him of saying that he was advocating that mel tucker keep his job, when matt only said multiple times that mel tucker shouldn't be fired. big difference, which matt said could be helped by listening to the show more/closely. he also said that no matter how many games i watch or how much i [think i?] know that i'm always going to be ignorant and wrong. that was a nice touch.
so yeah, b&b was locked and loaded as my 90%+ 1-6pm listening habit.... it was literally appointment radio to use one of their terms, and now i'm finding more and more reason to shy away.... even with the added incentive of the other board existing to have a place for the group to have their catharsis during the show, still, i just am growing sick of dan bernstein yelling at me and telling me why i'm an idiot unless i'm in total lockstep with him regarding [issue/s X/Y/Z/etc]
lately he's quite keen to belt out THERE IS NO ARGUMENT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is kind of ironic given that the guy has really "embrace[d] debate" like the boo-yahs do..... tho that's his rosebud; he'd never admit that skip bayless' success with that whole format has caused them to double down on it and make it the veritable calling card of the show.

You guys might want to listen to transition. I think Mac is going to pick a fight with Daniel. He just referred to the show as Terry Boers, and Score Lead Columnist Dan Bernstein.

The funny thing is Mac suffered from Bernstein disease just now. I often agree with Bernstein's points, but I hate the way he presents it. Mac basically said I don't get it, and I'm projecting my thoughts to all Score listeners.

Was there anything interesting in transition? Or was this all a clever ruse to get Keeping Score to post about the Score again?

Ugh. Bernstein started crafting every caller into a moron, and I turned the show off.
