Winter and I had an uncomfortable weekend. I'm not proud of this, but I had submitted. I told Winter I would sign something, announce it on Facebook, whatever. It won. I was tapping. But it wouldn't release the hold. I fought through it, reversed the hold, and now I'm going to make Winter my bitch.

Last night on got stuck when I parallel parked on Roscoe. Pulled out the Green Beast from the trunk and started bashing the shit out of the frozen snow in front of my tires. The Beast was making a sucka out of the snow and ice. Was able to clear a path for my car and pulled out easily this morning. I love this shovel.

goddamn dude.... i hoped that was an old post (as this board is great for those =) but instead that's tomorrow? well..... shit. fuck. shitfuck. at least i should be able to keep up with it cuz i dont wanna wake up to 6" / lots of effort on the driveway.
hell even this morning the light glaze was annoying (not to mention those suspicious female-seeming footprints that seemed to walk up to my door (only in 1 direction) and then disappear..... wtf?
but yeah here's to hoping that the snow properly fucks off south and we dont get but a few inches of it, although with 40s during the week scheduled starting as early as tuesday and pops saying there's 50s scheduled for next weekend, man, i can use some of that.
although i have come to realize that whenever you start hitting a nice run of 40s/50s and begin to think that maybe you've escaped the snow paradigm there's inevitably at least one more big solid snow to come that season. so with the run of 40s/0s presumably starting in february here, hopefully we can go through it, get the inevitable snow in a week or two, adn then we can escape to the ~40s/50s/whatever by the time march rolls around and maybe just MAYBE never really look back?
i look forward to commiserating with you lot about the inevitable blizzard of april 2014 then =D

Widespread snow is likely across much of Montana and Wyoming, while farther south the snow will be more tied to higher elevations. The main event east of the Rockies will unfold beginning Saturday as snow spreads east across portions of the Plains and Midwest. (See inset map for details.) The more significant part of this storm will be Sunday into Monday, with precipitation becoming heavier. A stripe of significant ice accumulation is likely Sunday across much of the Ohio Valley with snow farther north. These threats shift into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Monday.   |
