It's been talked about enough in other threads. We're coming to a crossroads. Kirkwood, Jackref, and I are in for sure. This will be the official thread. If anyone wants to jump on board, I'll start a spoiler thread. But I'd just suggest catching up. I have a non-selfish reason for all of this action. I started Sopranos really late. I started The Wire after the damn thing was done. Killing a season in 1 1/2 days is great. But I love the anticipation of everything right now.
A bright young man said "I just want to know who did it" at one point. That's pretty much how I feel. I'll make it into a college class later. Many a douche has pounced on this show. But I do enjoy the depth. I also enjoy Michelle Monaghan. I definitely enjoy Woody's side.
Everyone here should take a couple hours and catch up. The bad thing is you'll want to watch the episodes multiple times. I don't have the time right now, but I'm still going to watch all episodes again before Sunday. Who's coming with us?!?

I'm not really into Rust's monologues about religion, universe, life etc etc etc. But I love the detail and all the clues packed into each episode. I go to sleep thinking about why each scene happened. The internet keeps finding all these subtle hints from innocuous scenes.

This show is awesome on so many levels. I can't recall a show that fucked with my head as much as this one. Its self awareness and story within a story writing is incredible. The imagery, the dialogue, the directing have all been top notch and I don't have enough superlatives to praise it. That ending scene of episode 4 was like nothing I have ever seen before. {Spoiler} I think these last 3 episodes are going very dark and supernatural and Lovecraftian. Its the second act of the story and everyone is going to go insane. And I think that may make alot of people who love this show now, hate it. And I am happy with that Also I could watch Matthew McConaghey smoke cigarettes for 2 hours and be fine with that. He deserves every acting award possible and even a few made up ones too. I can't even imagine how many cartons he went through filming this.

Don't stay up too late if binge watch them. You'll struggle to fall asleep because either you're: 1. Spooked out of your mind of what you just saw 2. Amazed at what you just watched over the hour 3. Dissecting every scene and trying to determine their significance 4. Thinking about the things you’d do Marty’s mistress given the chance

Still thinking about number 4 on an hourly basis.

I tried to start over last night, and I couldn't get past the first scene. Literally. No talking scenes. Watch the very start again and tell me if you see a spoiler.

1st episode done.
Obviously the present day cops think Rust is the one who's doing this, but I hope that's just a red herring.
On to 2.

Poor Burt. Those Bloods definitely aren't trained surgeons.
Some of Rust's viewpoints on religion and life sound like someone from the old board.

Someone carrying a girl and then lighting one of those weird sculptures and then a burning field. Too hard to make out details.

Did that before and after drinking tonight. Your theory is bc I have no idea? Looks like rust or Marty carrying dead girl but that's too obvious.

This is strictly me thinking about this too much. But that's what we're supposed to do for fun at this point. This is dopey Drop In alone. Someone is carrying the dead girl to the site. Lighting a fire. All of a sudden, everyone has a flame. Cut to Woody, unfortunately without the side. Multiple people. Almost like a church. I'll probably be completely wrong, but I couldn't get past it last night. Why would so many people be lighting a flame. You need a group. Followers. Love this fucking show.

Agree with drunken Kirkwood. 2 people carry a body into the woods. Someone lights a large version of the wooden symbol thingy and the forest goes up in flames.
Has dougref been dosing you with mallomar extract again?

No. Nucky Thompson's brother has followers that are waiting. Again, while I feel that's too easy, it's that moment. Show runners that laugh and say "we gave it to you in the first five seconds!" I can't wait for the non-WhiteSoxKeyserSoze to reveal him, or herself. Speculating is like the pro wrestling game. Let's just sit back and enjoy the ride. I don't want to be right. I want to be entertained.

Isn't the Wyatt Family from Louisiana? The problem, as I see it Mr. Speeps, is that it don't matter where they're from. If Vince worked out a deal with HBO to link this for Mania, he can ride off and be CrankyVince. That right dammit. ROMAN REIGNS IS THE KILLER! BECAUSE HE'S A KILLER! A DESTROYER! MATHEW WHAT? I offered him front row tickets for 24. He said no. "FUCK HIM!"

Very interesting but I think a bunch of red herrings. No way its Marty, he isn't cold or calculated enough to do some of these things. And I don't think he hates women to do some of these things - he showed compassion for the underage girl at the bunny ranch and even gave her money to get out.

Well now we know what caused the Marty-Rust breakup in 2002.
Overall kind of slow tonight, but I expect that to set up an amazing final 2 episodes.

Though, I'm skeptical as to how straightforward this episode was. This show anything is but straightforward. I'm probably digging too deep into today's episode. Can't wait to see what the internet hardcore watchers find.

I don't do HBO. Put it on netflix already. They'll never put it on NetFlix. HBO will keep it only with them so people have a reason to subscribe. Episode 7 preview is nuts. I won't reveal anything but fuck this is going to get even better.
