It's always amazing that whether Vince is in charge or not, whenever WWE HOF'ers show up on TV you can be sure some young guys are either getting chokeslammed, rock-bottommed, stunnered, or Attitude-Adjusted.

NXT 921,000 (0.30 demo)
AEW 609,000 (0.26 demo)
While Taker, Cena, Cody and others got them the win pretty convincingly, I’m surprised that amount of folks brought in didn’t get it to one million, even with the competition.
That’s a rough number for AEW, but at least they stuck to their roster and storylines.
More important thing coming out of this is, now what happens? For both shows.

You were relatively close in the amount of viewers and ballpark in the demos.
Chalk it up as a win. And you didn’t even have to bring out the legends to get the W!

Without stacking main roster talent and legends, last nights ep did 798,000 and 0.23 in the demo
So now we can go back to normal. Until the next “battle”.
I don’t want to double post, but I got a kick out of this. Santino’s daughter’s delivery of the flat earth line was perfect. The opening few seconds were rough, but I legit laughed at this line.

That’s pretty big news.
I assume this would be the feeling out process to expanding NXT and maybe creating NXT: Japan that’s been talked about.
Hope it works better than NXT: UK, which failed for a variety of reasons. Pandemic and lack of interest being the top two.

A lot of the top tier UK guys weren't involved, and that hurt. I think it'd be the same thing with All-Japan, but at least that's an established number 2 promotion with some good young stars of its own.

The NXT Vengeance Day media call is happening with Shawn. And he's getting a lot of questions about safety.
He's handling himself pretty well from what I can see.

Got caught up on Takeover. While the days of the old NXT awesome must see Takeovers are long gone, this had a couple really good matches and the rest were just there.
Bron & Corbin I assume are breaking up soon with Bron going to the main roster, which sucks, because this is the best Corbin has looked in his career.
Dijak & Gacy was a fun weapons match and two dudes who I have no clue what they do next after this.
The Family vs. O.T.M. was 4 green people and then Stacks & Tony D. This was a TV match, but I get it, you have to get these green folks bigger matches like this.
Roxanne vs. Lyra was really good when it was just them. Then Lola came in with a title shot she apparently won and made it a 3 way and it went down in quality because she's super green herself. I didn't care for the three way portion, but the finish allowed a rematch with Roxanne & Lyra at Mania if they want.
Oba Femi will be a star if he continues to improve. Dragon Lee made him look like a stud. This is a giant they could go far with. I enjoyed this big guy/little guy match.
Dragunov vs. Trick was fantastic and easily MOTN. Loved the story they told with Trick nearly winning, but Melo turning on him post match. Wish Trick would've won and then did the Melo turn, but it is what it is.
I give the show an overall 7/10
