Gallows and Anderson are on NXT now.
It's probably 6 years too late, but at least they have something to do.

That apron has been out for vengeance these past two weeks.
Shotzi jumping off it and tearing her knee last week and now this.
Who hurt you apron? Who. Hurt. You?

Shawn Spears is back in NXT. 2019 AEW feels like it was 17 years ago.

This is the first new flippy move I've seen in a couple of years that stands out. Quick, works as a finisher, properly follows gravity, and makes an impact on contact.

Guilia got the star in the crowd treatment at Stand and Deliver.
Oh, and Oba Femi is a fucking star.

Trick won the NXT Championship.
Didn't seem like Ilja got much run with the belt. Not sure what happened.

If she can stay healthy (she’s had multiple injuries already), she’ll be a good one over time.

I think it’d feel more special had Jordynne not just showed up in the Rumble. Regardless, she’s a good replacement for who was originally supposed to be Giulia to face Rok-C
Egon in NXT makes sense. Hopefully they do more with him than AEW and not whatever they’ve (not) been doing with Spears and to a lesser extent Pillman Jr.
Show AEW what they missed out on and not job him out because he’s a former AEW talent

Also if Egon has success there, I wouldn’t be shocked if folks like Danhausen pop up eventually

Just watched it. The crowd didn’t go as wild as I had thought. But I thought it was hysterical the first thing Egon said was “I took out Norm!”
I was like who the fuck is Norm? Does Egon think his name is Norm Dar? Haha. NORM!

Sold.

Trick Williams went on a podcast called Unlikely and spoke about CM Punk working with NXT talent:
“Mentor is a perfect way to put it, man.
He has been a blessing for all of us who would take the time to actually go talk to him and reach out to him.
He’s helped me with a few things that I feel like, if the crowd knew about it, they would be very grateful that he did. I’ll just leave it there.
Shoutout to CM Punk.
He’s been a positive light for all of us here in NXT.”
Love to see it.

Egon-Trick official for Sunday.
I think I'd have Egon win....

Why is he getting a NXT Title match in his debut? I’m fine with it, but people just destroyed AEW for Roddy demanding a World Title match from Tony and just getting it randomly. Ava signs Egon to the title match after Trick begs her too.
Just weird.
Anyways, I’d have Egon lose, but win in the eventual Noam (or Norm) Dar match that will eventually happen. You could the. Have Egon ultimately win the N/A Title. I think it’s too early to take the title off Trick.
I do see Jordynne Grace winning the women’s title from Roxanne though. Way to get Roxanne to the main roster and have Jordynne run around TNA a bit with the NXT Title

What if Egon and Grace win with the help of the rest of TNA?

NXT doesn't use rankings. It's that simple.
They told a story where this guy came in and attacked Trick and wants his title.
Simple storytelling works sometimes.

What if Egon and Grace win with the help of the rest of TNA? Then Gallows and Amderson join with Team TNA! Something is going on with TNA and WWE. More than just this I mean. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up taping their shows either in Orlando at the PC or in Vegas at the UFC joint.

I turned it on interested at 6. Then I realized it was a pre-show and Sam Roberts was on my TV.
Ok, bye.
NBA Finals game at 7 it is.

Been watching this Egon/Trick main event because the NBA finished.
Trick is a very charismatic character and super athletic. He’s still super friggin green though. Comes across as very stagey, if that makes sense. He’s making sure he hits his marks instead of making it look fluid and natural. It’s why you’re in NXT, so if he works on those things and improves, he’ll be main roster ready IMO.
Egon has looked like Egon, a solid worker.
I wasn’t blown away by the match as a Takeover, felt like a TV main event.
