I've said it before, but NXT shouldn't be on television. Botches like those just can't exist on TV in a major company.

I've said it before, but NXT shouldn't be on television. Botches like those just can't exist on TV in a major company. It's fine. The majority of WWE fans obviously don't pay attention to NXT. I wish that were different, but it's not. Mistakes happen.

SHAWN MICHAELS DISPUTES REPORTS ABOUT BRUCE PRICHARD AND VINCE MCMAHON'S INFLUENCE ON WWE NXT Shawn Michaels/Twitter BY OLIVIA QUINLAN/AUG. 11, 2022 7:35 PM EDT Shawn Michaels has put to rest rumors surrounding who was really running "NXT" towards the end of last year and into this year. Michaels began working at the Performance Centre back in 2017. He returned to the ring for one last match at Crown Jewel 2018, teaming up with former D-Generation X teammate Triple H to defeat the Brothers of Destruction (Kane and Undertaker). Michaels retired from in-ring action for good soon after and join the "NXT" brand as a writer and producer. He worked his way up to second in command to Paul "Triple H" Levesque. Michaels initially took over the show after Levesque suffered from a cardiac event in late August of last year. Levesque underwent heart surgery and took several months off to recover. He returned to his duties at the Performance Centre and "NXT" back in June. Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard were reportedly the ones responsible for producing "NXT" at the time, in addition to handling the big picture aspects such as marketing, promotion, and direction. Reaction To McMahon/Prichard Reports "When Hunter first left, it became all me, and certainly from a television standpoint," Michaels said while speaking with Bleacher Report. "Matt Bloom is the head coach and takes care of everything from a PC training standpoint, but when it came to "NXT 2.0" television, that's something myself and my team took over creatively. I know a lot of people thought Vince and Bruce were doing that. I can promise you, they did not have the time to do "NXT" television. If it's good or if it's bad, that's on me." Cora Jade is dating Lil Steiner
Legit thought she was still with Blake Christian. I’m out of the loop with couples in wrestling, too many to keep up with.

Mandy just beat Zoey
Why?
Are we really going to have Nikkita be the one to beat her? She’s fucking awful. Looks delightful, but a terrible wrestler.

The one year anniversary of NXT 2.0 is tonight.
How much things have changed in a year is really kind of crazy.

This Quincy Elliot dude has futuristic Men on a Mission gear and his finisher is the Banzai Drop.
If this fella was around in the mid 90s, Vince would’ve made him champ. Either that or feud with Taker.

Also interesting they put the North American title on Sakoa after main eventing SD this week. Smart move to try to get more eyes on NXT while having him assumedly being on SD as well.
Bloodline has all the gold…and Sami, who is gold Jerry, gold.

NXT 2.0 had rough moments, easily abused on social media, but that was a solid year. Seriously.

My friend who doesn't watch a ton of wrestling texted me last night saying this feels different from RAW & SD, which is a good thing.
I told him I agreed and how this is completely different from the black & gold. Cut to 30 minutes later and it's back to black and gold, haha.
There's some really rough spots in 2.0, but some really bright ones as well. Positives began to outweigh the negatives as the year went on.

Wait, so they stripped Sakoa of the N/A title because “he wasn’t supposed to be in the match” but he defended it on Smackdown last week.
I think they only put it on him to get another title in the picture of the Logan Paul press conference.
Another ladder match to fill the vacant title. NXT relies on ladder matches as much as AEW does battle royals.

This is a fantastic rule honestly. Some folks had/have been there years and years and are simply not that good or aren’t picking it up. Either they see something in you or you can go somewhere else or do something else. Some 2.0 folks shouldn’t be on TV because they aren’t good wrestlers, but others it can be chalked up to needing ring time. Not having a ton of house shows is a problem too. These kids need to work in front of live crowds and not just the same dweebs who cheer for heels/boo faces to get themselves over on USA most Tuesdays. At least it feels that way whenever I watch.
