Everyone has players they can't wait to tell you they knew would be awesome. I always ask who they missed on. Few want to admit it. Recent awards and upcoming events made me start thinking about it again.
Bulls - Noah. I made an audible sound while in a restaurant for my birthday. My wife said "you told me that's who they were going to draft" and I was still upset. Definitely thought they tossed the pick away. Really glad I was wrong.
Cubs - Derrick May. I still have a 100 count case of 1993 Leaf rookie cards somewhere.
White Sox - Bacon. Somewhere on the internet, you can find me predicting him winning the MVP. Yikes.
NFL - Ryan Leaf. He was going to be better than Peyton Manning. In my mind.
I'm sure I'll think of more. Have at it!

Randall Cobb. I called for him being in the HOF along with KS on draft day. Oh wait......wrong topic.

NFL - Alonzo Spellman: Thought he'd be better than Reggie White.
MLB - Gordon Beckham: Wouldn't trade him for Adrian Gonzalez.
NBA - Khalid El Amin: Expected him to be a multi time ALL Star.
WWE/WCW - The Black Scorpion: Spent the late summer to winter of 1990 trying to decipher the identity of the masked man from Sting's past only to have it be Ric Flair.

* Noah would be one of mine as well. Pretty much everybody made fun of that one. Been a lot of fun to be wrong about that one.
* Bucks SOLID
* David Wilson in Fantasy Football this past season (and dropping Josh Gordon)
* Thought Alexi Ramirez was gonna have a lot more power.
* Jerel Worthy, Nick Perry, Datone Jones, Jerron McMillian

Datone hasn't even gotten to play hardly.
Worthy I agree on. I thought he would be a beast but he has blown. He could still be a beast if he ever gets on the field.
For me:
DJ Williams- Really thought he would have been a great TE but he is from Arkansas so that is probably why he sucked.
Brandon Wood- Holy lord was he dominant in all levels of the minor leagues and completely awful in the bigs. He is basically Brett Jackson x 10.
Mark Prior- Looked dominant and then gone...completely gone with nothing left.
CJ Wilson the pitcher- minor league nobody who was a nice enough and eccentric enough guy. Never though in a million years he would develop into a really good starting pitcher with a huge contract.
