I'm not canceling the WWE network by any means but holy shit is the product so bad and lacking any common sense. Bray Wyatt is one of your biggest stars and you just leave him off shows. But make sure to give Titus O Neil and some god damn bunny 7 mins.

From 95 til about 2008, the PWI 500 was my favorite book of the year. Then you just couldn't find them anymore or when you did the price for 1 magazine was not even worth it. Bummed it's just an online magazine now, but I miss the days of picking apart the list & seeing really random names ranked. I'll never forget one year The Codfather was listed & had his picture, dressed as a fisherman, it was ridiculous, yet here we are all these years later & I still remember it.
So, in keeping with my tradition, Magnus at 8? Seriously? I'm surprised Reigns is as high as he is too. I haven't seen the rest of the list, so I'm wondering where guys like Rollins ranks.

As noted over the weekend, there were two scripts for WWE Night Of Champions. Bryan Alvarez noted that it was explained to him that WWE was waiting to see which script leaked out to the odds makers before the show. Brock Lesnar was the favorite to win in the betting before the show. That means that the script that had Brock winning was the one that leaked out. One script had Seth Rollins attacking Brock Lesnar with the briefcase. The other script had Seth Rollins attacking John Cena with the briefcase. So, based on where the odds makers were going that was going to determine what script they were going to use. So, in a nutshell, they did the opposite of what the odds makers thought was going to be the finish. As crazy at it sounds, WWE actually determined the finish of the show based on what the odds makers were saying to swerve them. News from WrestlingObserver.com was used in this post. Are we sure Vince Russo hasn't been secretly on the McMahon payroll all this time?
Maybe once he killed WCW and ruined TNA, he got brought back in to Stamford.

WWE released “The Best of Sting” on DVD and Blu-Ray through all major retailers. It appears that whoever put together the box art for the product may have made a small mistake. On the back of the box (seen below) there are several images of Sting through his career, but one of them is very clearly a photo of former WCW wrestler Jeff Farmer, who played the Impostor Sting (aka “nWo Sting”) during the mid-90′s.

Just got back from the house show. For free tickets, I had 7th row, it was a great time, even though they did the fuckin bait and switch for the main event. Sheamus beat Cesaro, then Rollins attacked after, Cena made the save & we got a tag match instead of the advertised Rollins/Cena street fight. Oh well, it was a solid match.
Met Sheamus, Kofi & Natalya before the show. I wore my Bullet Club shirt, Nattie said she liked it & I got a picture with her & I throwing up the Too Sweet sign, amazing moment. She's by far the nicest wrestler I've ever met.
Funny moment when Cena threw his shirt into the crowd, a kid got it, but this grown dude jumped back, missed, fell hard & bent the chair behind him. It was incredible.
Oh and Neville's finisher is fucking unreal to see live. And Paige is God damn pretty.

Raw Chicago was one of the best shows they've had in years. Too bad the creative team isn't as worried as making the product decent as Vince is about fans voicing their displeasure.

- Former WWE creative writer Kevin Marshall called into Wrestling Observer Live and spoke about the WWE creative team process. Here are the highlights… On Vince McMahon’s Involvement in The Creative Process: “Basically everything is micromanaged to death [by Vince] and I know there is a lot of talk of ‘they’ over there when we talk about the writing process for the show. It is no secret that the buck stops with Vince, but when I was there, and I guess that this started sometime before even I started there back last October, he was micromanaging everything to death. Basically you’re sitting there trying to write for him and you’re trying to figure out what he wants. The job became very quickly trying to figure out what Vince is thinking and then having him tell you he’s changed his mind. So when we talk about the show being rewritten as it’s happening, what I need people to know is that that show was likely written well in advance and there was an attempt at it, but either nothing was approved or everything got scrapped and rewritten by the man himself.” On The Biggest Misconception Fans Have of The Creative Team: “Well, I think the biggest misconception is that we sit around and we decide who gets pushed and who doesn’t, that we sit there and lay out what the tent poles are going to be for the year, like ‘hey, John Cena should win the title, blah blah blah’. We don’t make those decisions, we don’t make those calls on finishes, we don’t sit there and hold talent back. I think that’s the biggest misconception is the idea that we just sit around and we bury talent and we try to come up with ideas to make everybody look stupid. That’s certainly not the case! Just speaking from a writer’s perspective, I never met anybody who was in the business of trying to make somebody else look bad. I think it’s very easy when you watch our product, and I think just when you watch professional wrestling in general, to get the impression that wow, they’re really going out of their way to make this guy look stupid. It’s really just a combination of things: 1) There’s a lot of politics that goes on behind the scenes that the creative team is not in control of; [and] 2) There are certain guys that probably are their own worst enemy, as we all are, myself included. It’s a lot, lot harder than it looks, especially when you have a limited roster, which when you thumb through it on WWE.com that roster looks huge, [but] when you lay it down on a piece of paper and you have to fill like sixteen segments for Monday and then twelve for Tuesday, which is Smackdown, and then you have Main Event and Superstars and everything, it’s really, really hard.” 411mania.com/wrestling/former-wwe-writer-says-vince-mcmahon-micromanages-everything-to-death/

This is just incredulous to me. Don't get me wrong, I love Harper but they haven't even had a run with the belts yet!!!
- WWE is reportedly planning to give Luke Harper a singles run soon. The process started with last night’s video on RAW, which hyped up Harper. There has been a plan to split the Wyatts up for some time now. It’s unknown what the roles of Bray Wyatt (including if he will be face or heel) or Erick Rowan will be going forward.

Can't wait for this. WWE is reportedly planning to turn Randy Orton face within the next three or four months. This is right in the middle of the Wrestlemania build, so he could be a face for Wrestlemania 31. Credit: The Wrestling Observer via Wrestlezone

I've barely paid attention to the product the last 4-6 weeks. Are they seriously breaking up the Wyatt Family? Why, because it was working before they jacked it up? I'd love to think this is part of a big picture shift. However, I fear it's not.

The Wyatts and the Shield could have easily headlined the HIAC PPV.
I hate what they do with people. Pushing them and than pulling back on that push after a few weeks.

I really like Sam's interviews with the WWE guys. He has ones with Bo Dallas & Cesaro as well, but I really liked this one with Zayn. Pretty sure a Bray Wyatt one will be up in a few days too.
At the end they talk about his crush on Gillian Jacobs of Community (who I also think is ridiculously attractive). Sam interviewed her a while back & she showed off her knowledge briefly of PWG & mentioned Generico. Her liking PWG increased her hotness IMO. Anyway, this is a solid interview.

Since Randy Orton’s 60-day suspension for a violation of WWE’s Talent Wellness Program in May 2012, only one talent has been officially punished for a drug-related infraction—Ricardo Rodriguez in July 2013. Although no WWE talent has been suspended for a Wellness violation in over a year, that does not necessarily mean that the roster is completely drug-free.
On Tuesday, UFC announced in a statement on its website that 42-year-old fighter Cung Le tested positive for an excess level of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) following his fight at UFC Fight Night in Macao, China on August 23 and was being suspended from competition for nine months. However, after revisiting the evidences against Le, the UFC suspended him for a year. Dave Meltzer reported on the story on Wednesday in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, where he addressed the current state of drug usage in WWE.
Meltzer has cast doubt on the WWE talent roster being completely clean. In March, he was asked on his radio show whether the lack of drug test failures in recent years means the WWE locker room is now substance-free and responded, “You shouldn’t believe the roster has been clean for two years…I wouldn’t even believe two weeks.”
Although WWE bans the non-medical use of HGH, talents aren’t tested for it. HGH can only be picked up in blood testing, not the standard urine testing, which is why athletes in most sports use it with impunity. According to Meltzer, that is also the case in WWE as some talents circumvent the drug testing policy by using high dosages of HGH combined with low dosages of Testosterone (also prohibited).
Within the bodybuilding world, this is known as a stack; two or more supplements are taken at the same time in order to increase their overall effectiveness (compared to the effectiveness of one supplement alone).
“For those who are using [performance-enhancing drugs] to beat WWE testing, the standard stack is to use low doses of testosterone and higher dosages of HGH, because HGH, as far as enhancing a physique and gaining strength, works far better in synergy with a steroid to enhance its effects, and low doses of testosterone can keep one below the 6:1 T:E ratio,” Meltzer stated.
Meltzer received this information from sources within WWE after attending the February 7 live event in Oakland, California headlined by John Cena vs. Randy Orton and being “struck at how obviously enhanced more guys were than I had noticed on TV.”
He noted on the F4WOnline.com message board, “Asking around, I was told exactly how they beat the system (GH with low dosages of test, usually taken on Wednesday, that’s out of the system within a few days to beat the tests).”
Last year, WWE quietly changed its policy to allow therapeutic use exceptions for banned substances and introduced a redemption program that would enable performers who have violated the policy twice to get one of their two strikes removed. In addition to Orton, currently employed talents who have been suspended due to one or more violations are Booker T, Darren Young, Dolph Ziggler, Heath Slater, Mike Chioda, Rey Mysterio, R-Truth, Ryback and William Regal.

I'd love to think this is part of a big picture shift. However, I fear it's not. I haven't paid much attention either. After going to RAW on Monday I almost feel like the wrestling bug is now out of my system again. We will see. There's a handful of talent that make me keep coming back right now: Lesnar, Rollins, Ambrose and Heyman to name a few. As for the Wyatts, I'm taking this more of a vignette that Bray is releasing Luke Harper into singles competition and that he won't be there to stop Harper from doing whatever he wants to anyone, at anytime.

I wonder if they'll have a Rowan vignette this week? I wonder if it'll lead to a new member? Or maybe it is just Harper & Wyatt brings someone else in who needs saving? If they do break up the Wyatts, I'm sure Harper will thrive in whatever he does, but holy shit, what missed opportunities they had with those three? Amazing matches with The Shield, which I wish would've happened during the slow months instead of right before Mania build. That could've kept our interest. Then the whole Cena/Usos feuds, which gave Bray nothing in the end & Rowan/Harper never got a title run? So dumb.
Whenever I get frustrated with Raw or SD (which lets face it, has been for a while), I just watch NXT & I feel better. Thank you Zayn, Breeze, Neville, Kidd, Amore, Bayley, Becky, etc.
3 months before the build for the Rumble, look at the positive.......I guess. We've almost made it through the worst of the year.

They have 25-35 writers right now. Unlike MLB, pay your talent first. That number depends on the season, but I've heard it multiple times. I've been a part of a couple businesses/corporations in my life. It would be absolutely impossible to be successful with that setup. Being a core to your business. Keep in mind, I like to hear explanations before I judge. If that sucks, I'll scorch you like Kane.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler posted the following on Twitter, seeming to indicate that United Airlines may have lost one of his bags this past weekend that had the Intercontinental Title belt inside it:
"hope @united gets me my bag for #RAW um, anyone in Brooklyn sell replica intercontinental titles? asking for a friend"
Too bad Miz isn't IC champ, they could've used Sandow's stunt double title.
