Triple H and Vince McMahon Reportedly At Odds Regarding Lesnar’s WrestleMania 31 Opponent
Nick Paglino August 18, 2014
According to F4WOnline.com, there have been a lot of rumors circulating claiming Vince McMahon and Triple H have been “butting heads” when it comes to Brock Lesnar’s opponent at WrestleMania 31.
Triple H reportedly wants Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar at the big PPV, while Vince wants The Rock vs Brock Lesnar.
Backstage word is that Vince tends to undercut Triple H sometimes, and even makes him look bad, but it could just be a case of “good cop/bad cop” as there are no real hard feelings between the two.
A good example would be Vince recently making Triple H look like the bad guy where it pertains to a possible Kurt Angle return.
Fuckin' Vince...

Rock blew up like 5 minutes into his match with Cena and tore the meat off his bones and whatever else. Two part timers. (I'll give Brock a pass). Would be HUGE $$$ but color me uninterested.
Reigns will never be ready by then. He has like 3 moves and none of them are power. So nah.
Give me a returning Daniel Bryan.

Brock is just too damn big for Bryan. I can't envision them selling that matchup. Give me Punk and Brock.

Why do I get a feeling at some point in these upcoming months we'll see Brock vs Skinny Jeans? It would be a fine filler, but I'm trying to think who Brock could face aside from that.
Cesaro? Orton? Jericho? Ambrose? Really don't want to see Cena again. Punk won't come back. Bryan I'd love, but I don't know if that'll happen. Reigns might be the best option if he stays healthy & gets over and develops more. I sure as shit don't want to see Rock vs Brock.
My question, the hell are they going to do with Rollins & the briefcase? Really hope they don't waste it.

I think in the upcoming months they could feed him Sheamus, Big Show, Mark Henry, Batista......dare I say Ryback? Jericho is done after Night of Champions. Actually, Cesaro would be fun for Brock at Mania but he'd be going into that match with a 160 match losing streak.

I want to know what their plan for super cena is. Can Bray pick back up with tormenting him and actually mentally break him this time?

They should sell the beatdown and keep him off TV for a couple months.
Maybe they CAN work Bray's mind games into that beatdown somehow but Bray has another month of Jericho I imagine.

I still mark out for the attitude era guys. I'd be happy with The Rock if he was in shape ready to go. However this would be a title match and that has been done for the Rock recently.
There's no way in hell they'd do this, but the match - for me - is Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar. If their heads are on straight, it'd be magic, again.
I'm with KS. I'm just not for sure if Roman Reigns has enough in the artillery. Now that he is a singles guy and not 1/3 of the offense, he is John Cena 2.0 in terms of ring moves right now.
Guys that Brock couuld go through leading up to Mania: Sheamus makes a ton of sense. I think that should be his next opponent. Big Show just happened at Rumble so thats out. I like Cesaro for maybe the Royal Rumble WWE Title match. And now for Mania...
Kurt Angle The Undertaker (I think he's got nothing left, but who wouldn't want that rematch IF undertaker could give us a good match.) Triple H - Long time feud. Maybe Brock doesn't want to do the things the auhtority way and he becomes face but doesn't really change his personality much Daniel Bryan - I'm having a hard time with the believeability factor on that one. "The Year 2000" Scott Steiner
I don;t know guys, Its kind of slim pickings for Lesnar opponents coming off of the Cena match.

Brock is just too damn big for Bryan. I can't envision them selling that matchup. Give me Punk and Brock. This is THE match for a story. DB comes back from the surgeries, his dad passing, being built up and destroyed, etc. He's now going against fucking Brock Lesnar. He wins and is back on top at Mania. It's the ultimate story that works with any medium. Except pro wrestling. I just don't think casual fans buy the story. But again, from a creative standpoint, it has legs forever.

Lesnar vs Cena rematch just announced for Night of Champions
He just gave him the most one sided beating of his career & they're doing a rematch? Eh...maybe they'll do something with Rollins?

That's a bad idea.
Cena needs to be destroyed again. Brock needs to dominate until Royal Rumble and hang on to the belt until Mania.

For everything that they did right, this is incredibly wrong and a waste of the way they booked Lesnar's win. What the hell? Is this a done deal?

I mean really it's just his rematch clause but I still would've sold the beat down and held Cena out for a couple months.

Exactly, I'd kept him off TV a month at least. I was bummed when they said Cena would be back next week to talk about what happened. Way to sell the beating.
Countdown to Cena's go get'em promo talking about not giving up & more than likely a Cinnabon reference in there at some point.

Why must they ALWAYS fuck things up when it comes to Cena. Everything was perfect and its like they just can't help themselves. You have him completely broken and beaten and Bray eventually takes him in and rebuilds him spiritually, mentally and physically. Why can't they just be awesome and do that dammit!!!!!!!!

Has Cena issued the challenge yet? His response wasn't supposed to be until next week on Raw.
I can see a scenario where he declines the rematch saying he can't win.

Thinking we can just go ahead shelve any future plans for Taker. 50 going on 70.

Update On Hulk Hogan Returning To The Ring At WrestleMania 31 Posted by Larry Csonka on 08.20.2014
Nothing official planned...
- Hulk Hogan has been campaigning for a match at next year's WrestleMania, but WWE doesn't actually have anything planned for him. Hogan was said to be "going into business for himself" and trying to get interest in a return to wrestling. Hogan claims his back is no longer a problem and he wants to work with either John Cena or Steve Austin at WrestleMania 31.
