Kota Ibushi is officially a free agent. He’s going to wrestle in GCW’s Spring Break in his first match back since October 2021.
He’s had a lot of time to get healed up. He’s 40. The amount of bumps he’s taken his career are nuts.
That said, we need a Golden Lovers reunion in AEW before it’s too late.

He’ll make a lot of money in WWE if that’s where he ends up, in which case, I’m happy for him.
I selfishly hope he goes to AEW. The quality of matches there would be great and he’s already had a few so far.
All this said, is he gone just from Japan or New Japan? It was a Loser Leaves Japan match. So maybe he sticks around for Strong or whatever that could end up being in America?

Battle in the Valley is this Saturday (along with Elimination Chamber and NBA All Star Weekend) and it's loaded. Eddie Kingston & Jay White had a back and forth on Wrestling Observer Live this afternoon to add the Loser Leaves New Japan stip to their match, so that's officially a wrap on ol' Switchblade. I do kinda like them using Eddie losing means he'd be robbed of his dream matches/tags potentially by losing.
Okada vs. Tanahashi Round 800, but that's always a reliably great match
