She signed a new deal with Bushiroad, so once she heals up, there’s a lot more matches left to be had.

Been seeing some stuff that was Willow's fault. True or nah?

Absolutely not. Mercedes slipped off the top before trying an avalanche Code Red (I’m assuming that was the planned spot) and fell to the floor on her ankle. Willow has nothing to do with that.
That’s the internet being dickbags.

Semi Finals for the BOSJ are set. I'm just going to recap those matches and the finals. I'm so behind on it, I'll get around to it eventually, but I'd rather go down rabbit holes of other wrestling right now.
Mike Bailey vs. Master Wato El Desperado vs. Titan
Winners face in the finals.

Two HUGE upsets happened today in the semi finals. I did not see either of these results happening. They were both really good matches.
Semi Finals Master Wato defeated Speedball Mike Bailey Fast opening sequence of counters sent Bailey to the floor with a dropkick as Wato followed with a slingshot dive. Wato briefly locked in Vendeval, but Bailey got the ropes. Bailey answered with the machine gun kicks and springboard moonsault outside, as he followed with a running start from the crowd for a jump kick to the arm. Back inside Bailey missed a running shooting star, as Wato hit sort of a Zig Zag and leaping leg lariat. A huge somersault dive outside by Wato, who quickly threw Bailey back inside, tried a springboard uppercut, but Bailey caught him with an arm bar. Bailey zoned in on the arm at the 10 minute mark, missed the shooting star double knees, as both men traded pin attempts until Wato sank in Vendeval after a crazy series of counters. Bailey rocked his way to the rope break, as both men rose to their feet and Bailey lit up Wato with kicks. Bailey went for his home run shot, but Wato countered into Recientemente for two. Both traded kicks on the apron until Bailey pulled the leg out from Wato and hit his moonsault double knees. Bailey followed with the Ultimate Weapon, but Wato kicked out and the crowd went wild. Bailey wanted the Flamingo Driver, but Wato countered into TTD, collapsing onto Bailey, who kicked out. Bailey threw another series of kicks, but Wato answered with a corkscrew kick and Tsutenkaku German suplex for the win! This was as close to a sprint you can have for a match that went a little over 15 minutes. These two crushed it and I was genuinely surprised by the result, good for Wato.
Titan defeated El Desperado A feeling out process the opening five minutes until Titan did a rope walk hurricanrana, but tried one on the floor, as Despy avoided and targeted the left leg. Despy asked the crowd to clear as he whipped Titan into the fourth row. Back inside, Titan did a Matrix to thrust kick Despy and hit another hurricanrana, sprinting for a dive through the ropes. They spilled deep into the crowd where Titan hit a cross body off the balcony as his LIJ members cheered him on. In the ring, Titan hit a nasty dragon screw into a leg lock, as the story here will be whose legs will hold up more. Titan charged, but was cut in half by a Despy spear. Despy briefly got Numero Dos, as Titan got the ropes and both men are clutching their knees in pain. We get a strike exchange into a perfect Tornado DDT by Titan. Despy rolled to the floor and suckered Titan into a dive attempt, which he cut off, but the second attempt Titan connected with a somersault plancha. Titan cleared the path, went to the top, tried a double stomp to the floor and missed, as this could’ve been disastrous. Commentary even referenced Mercedes Mone breaking her ankle a few days prior as Despy brought Titan in the ring and hit Guitarra de Angel, but couldn’t hit Pinche Loco, as Despy was sent outside clutching his ankle. Despy battled back with a spinebuster into Numero Dos, but Titan powered out into a Destroyer. Despy was planted with another Tornado DDT at the 20 minute mark as Titan pulled himself to the top for a double stomp for two. Titan applied the Muta Lock after a fight and Despy tapped out! While the first semi final match came off as more of a sprint, this was a storytelling match with both men fighting from behind with bad legs. I’m very bummed Despy lost, as he continues to always be the bridesmaid. Even with Hiromu eliminated, it’s a different LIJ member who cost him the BOSJ title that’s eluded him for years.

Finals Master Wato defeated Titan to win the Best of Super Juniors 2023
After an early feeling out process, things kicked into gear briefly as Wato hit a plancha to gain control 5 minutes in. Wato fired off some kicks, but Titan had enough of that and targeted the left leg to cut Wato off. Titan flipped out of a bulldog attempt, sent Wato to the floor, wanted a dive, but ate a Wato boot instead. Somersault suicida from Wato, who landed on his feet initially, but the left leg ultimately crumbled 10 minutes in. Titan quickly regained control by hitting a massive springboard moonsault and follow up somersault dive of his own. Back inside, Titan tried pulling up a limp Wato, who fought back, but Titan did a Matrix, only for Wato to hit a Zig Zag, Titan kipped up into a Pele Kick at the 15 minute call at the fastest sequence of the match. Forearm battle ensued with Titan trying his Tornado DDT, but Wato countered into Recientemente for two. Vendaval was applied, but Titan got a toe on the ropes. Wato took too long to follow up and Titan hit the Tornado DDT into the double down.
Titan hit a wild diving lariat that sent himself flying to the outside, as he hit a gnarly springboard double stomp to the small of Wato’s back for a close near fall. Titan sank in the leg lock and transitioned into the Muta Lock, which Wato scrambled valiantly and got the ropes 20 minutes in. Titan wanted the home run shot, as Wato hit Tsutenkaku for an insanely close two. Titan spun out of Recientemente into La Mistica, but Wato kicked out. Series of kicks dropped Wato as the LIJ members are yelling at Titan to follow up. Titan went up top and hit a brutal double stomp, but again Wato kicked out as the crowd is on fire. Hiromu, Naito, Shingo & BUSHI all can’t believe it. Wato ate a thrust kick, but answered with a corkscrew kick of his own. Tsutenkaku into Recientemente connected and Master Wato is your Best of Super Juniors 2023 Winner! This started very slow, but holy shit the last ten minutes were insane. After finishing with 8 points each of the last three tournaments, Wato wins it.
Master Wato gets an IWGP Junior Title shot at Dominion against Hiromu Takahashi as a result

Ahead of the main event tomorrow at Dominion, Yota Tsuji officially joined LIJ before challenging SANADA for the IWGP Title.

Starting Dominion
Ospreay beat Archer in the opener in 8 minutes to get the US Title shot against Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door
TJP & Akira regained the Jr Tag Titles and Clark Connors issued a challenge for the titles post match, but because he needed a new partner with Ishimori injured, Dan Moloney turned on Akira & TJP to join Bullet Club and will team with Connors
ZSJ retained the TV Title against Jeff Cobb in a crazy cool finish of ZSJ swinging through Tour of the Islands into a crucifix for the win
Bishamon won the vacant IWGP & Strong tag titles over House of Torture & United Empire. So safe to say Yoshi-Hashi & Goto want on Forbidden Door after losing to FTR last year at the show and also Wrestle Kingdom this year.
Goto & Yoshi we’re interrupted by the new Bullet Club War Dogs, who are Alex Coughlin & Gabriel Kidd
So we’re halfway through the show so far and Bullet Club has already gotten Moloney, Coughlin & Kidd joining their group

Finlay beat ELP to retain the NEVER title
I do prefer seeing Finlay, Moloney, Kidd, Coughlin & Connors as this incarnation of Bullet Club than having the House of Torture boys running around with their bullshit, from the looks of it, that’s a separate entity now
Wato vs Hiromu up next for the Jr Title

Hiromu retains over Wato in a good match, not blow away though
I mean, Hiromu is great, but at some point he’s going to have to friggin put over someone not named Ishimori. Poor Wato, he’s as over as he’s ever been after winning the BOSJ and loses.
Mox, Claudio & Shooter vs Okada, Tanahashi & Ishii up next for the 6 man titles

Okada pins Shooter with a Rainmaker at about 20 minutes. Action packed match with everyone looking great. Little things like Okada stepping over the body of Shooter to have his father Red Shoes raise his hand. Zero Fucks Okada rules
Claudio did a giant swing on Okada (commentary called him Cesaro, whoops). They triple powerbombed Okada, but he kicked out. Moxley bled from an Ishii headbutt
Post match Moxley threw to a video from Bryan Danielson hiking in the desert, who challenged Okada, saying he’s the Rainmaker, but there’s no rain in the desert. OKADA VS DANIELSON FORBIDDEN DOOR

During the main event, I like how commentary had zero clue what to call any of Tsuji’s offense since this was his first NJPW match since excursion.
SANADA ultimately retained the title, but Tsuji put up a good fight and didn’t look out of place at all. Went about 16-17 minutes.
Show closed with SANADA, Taichi, Taka, Kanemaru & DOUKI standing tall, which is still such a weird group to me, but Just5Guys it is.
