Yuya Uemura is back from his excursion in America and the newest member of Just 5 Guys
Also SANADA beat EVIL last night so it’ll be SANADA vs Naito for the IWGP Title at Wrestle Kingdom. Not the greatest of main events, but from a storyline standpoint, it makes complete sense for teacher vs student and former LIJ members.

House of Torture sucks and the Gates of Agony apparently just joined. Please don’t bring EVIL & the boys to AEW at any point. Only Pieter is allowed to show up.
“If you want to get to the House, you gotta go through the Gates first” is a clever line though.

EVIL, Yujiro, Dick Togo, SHO & Kanemaru
Interference, ref bump, low blow, weapon shot, steal the win. This happens a BUNCH until it finally blows up in their faces and the babyfaces get one over.
It’s specifically annoying whenever they’re in tournaments because it’s the same formula. That’s why I always skip EVIL G1 matches or SHO Best of Super Juniors matches.
I hope they never pop up in AEW

Ren Narita turned on Shota Umino after their Block wrapped up in the World Tag League and joined…House of Torture
While I’m happy Narita is breaking off and having a heel run, I don’t like how the H.O.T’s ranks are growing.

I can only hope this leads to something and the old regime are ousted by the new one. And their whole schtick gets an overhaul.
If I’m choosing heel factions to get behind, Bullet Club War Dogs stable has been a fun group of young guns. Finlay, Gabe Kidd, Drilla Maloney, Clark Connors & Alex Coughlin.
At least they have good matches before cheating. H.O.T feels like they’re just killing time until the inevitable ref bump, weapon shot finish

I’ll be up and watching. Told my friend I’d do his podcast to talk about it.
Of course we’re recording it Sunday, so there’s no reason for me to stay up all night and just watch it tomorrow. But why mess with tradition? I’ve watched it live every year for the last who knows how many.
Naito should win
Okada should win
I’m assuming President Tana should win (though Sabre got the stip added if he wins then he’s the Prime Minister of New Japan, which would be funny)
Finlay winning makes the most sense
2024 just needs to be the year of Tsuji, Narita, Umino & Uemura. They desperately need new stars.

Save yourself the lack of sleep! If I were you I’d wake up for Okada/Bryan.
I’m sure the whole show will be great, they just need this to be a strong start for 2024.

I’ll pop in real quick to say Yano, O-Khan, YOH & Ishimori advanced in the Ranbo and we got a 4 way tomorrow at Dash for the KOPW Title
Only surprise was Fujita Hayato and also Izuka, who was jacked as hell. Taichi handed off the Iron Claw that Izuka passed down to him to clean house on HOT guys.
Whole match made me sad certain guys were stuck in this match (Ishii, Cobb, Ishimori). Should’ve had more legends.

Danielson and Okada was unreal. Danielson was so happy to be there. I’m happy for him.
Seek the match out if you can
SANADA and Naito close the show and hopefully the SANADA experiment can end. It’s nowhere near as bad as EVIL’s run was, but the crowd just wants Naito.

I did manage to stay up for the whole thing. First time that's happened I think since about 2016-2017.
SANADA & Naito was a very good match, but I just don't get drawn into SANADA matches like I do a Naito, Tanahashi or Okada. That (along with the booking) is what's hampered this SANADA reign. Naito thankfully is champ and gets (what you'd assume) is a final run at the top.
EVIL attacking post match made me want to vomit, as he's the first feud for Naito? Gedo truly hates us.
