Happy he’s being used there. Rehab him and then you can bring him back to AEW storyline wise.

In Ali We Trust
He’s going to tear it up in New Japan. Hiromu vs Ali in Chicago

They posted last nights show with Japanese commentary on World
Shingo & Mox was incredible. Moxley wants Naito and it’ll happen I believe in Chicago.
Ospreay & Okada was exactly what you’d expect
Trish Adora held her own with Giulia
Eddie & Kidd was more storyline than anything
They ruined Jeff Cobb as Riddle’s partner as they put up Cobb’s graphic during Riddle’s entrance. Anyways, Chosen Bros reunited
Jungle Boy in New Japan will be fun. He targeted Shota Umino and that’ll probably happen in Chicago. Imagine the heat there for Jack?
Anways, very entertaining show. Give it a watch if you want a solid 3 hours of rasslin

When you see Eddie Kingston vs Gabe Kidd went to a double countout you think, eh, let down, but then watch the match and realize Eddie was about to slide in the ring at 17, but a downed Kidd grabbed the mic and called Eddie a fat bitch, so Eddie opted to pounce and take the countout.
We’ll get a rematch. Or perhaps Eddie starts a war with the War Dogs, who laid him out post match.
I enjoyed it.

Holy shit Okada is leaving New Japan. They’re fucking cooked. I obviously want him to go to AEW if that’s the case. It’d be so weird to see him in WWE and treated like just a guy after a few months.
Thank you for supporting New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Kazuchika Okada will be leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling after the conclusion of his contract on January 31 2024.
We apologise to fans for the abrupt nature of this announcement, but join them in wishing Okada the very best in his future.
As the New Beginning series begins this weekend, Okada will appear on February dates on February 11 in Osaka, and February 23 and 24 in Sapporo. Changes will be made to forthcoming cards with an announcement to follow.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support.
Kazuchika Okada statement:
I have nothing but gratitude for having been a part of New Japan Pro-Wrestling since 2007, and for NJPW bringing me from a 19 year old kid off the plane in Mexico to the Rainmaker I am today. Thank you to the best of companies in NJPW, to the best of opponents that I’ve been able to face here, and to the best of fans that have cheered and booed over the years. I promise to make it rain in every match I have left, so keep watching.

As cool as the visual would be to see Okada at a Wrestlemania and say he wins a title or whatever
The realization he’s going to wrestle guys like Miz after sucks all the air of that fun balloon.

Eh. He carried New Japan forever.
I could see him enjoying the idea of wrestling at Wrestlemania and not having to kill himself.

Regardless where he goes, I’m glad he’s going to get paid out the ass. If anyone deserves it, it’s him.
AEW: Less matches, same style WWE: More matches, toned down style
There’s pros and cons to both for sure

Kevin Kelly went pretty strong talking about New Japan, but I don't know that he's wrong.

Ishimori vs. Great O-Khan this morning was for the KOPW Title. 10 minute limit. Every 3 minutes there's 30 seconds of high intensity training. The match can be won by pinfall, submission, whoever ends the 10 minutes with the title.
They took that last part literal, as there were no pins or submissions, but O-Khan was holding the actual title at the end of 10 minutes, so he won the title.
This was something.
Not what Kevin Kelly had in mind when he said for O-Khan to get serious I'm sure.

Evil won a bullshit main event to win the NEVER title from Tama Tonga
I forgot New Japan could be losing Tama along with Okada & Ospreay. Tama is a real under the radar guy who put on great matches consistently (except against Evil).

You'd think. He's a case where it'd make far more sense there than AEW.
Or maybe it's a swerve and he's sticking around? Juice Robinson said once he was leaving NJPW and then turned heel and became Rock Hard with the Bullet Club.
I think the family reason is legit for Tama though, even though with Ospreay & Okada leaving, he could maybe get a run.

Yeah if he stuck around you'd thunk he could get elevated to a main event spot. Possibly even challenging for the heavyweight title.
But I do think he is looking to stay stateside now.

So last night was Okada's last match for New Japan? Nope, he’s going until Feb 23/24 Those dates haven’t been announced yet. He wrestled a multi man last night, still has the 6 man titles to drop and also a farewell match against Tanahashi was announced on the show they’re losing Ospreay on in that 10 man Cage at New Beginning.

It was the stip that Ishimori suggested. O-Khan’s was like a bullrope death match and like 75% of the fan vote was for the aerobic interval one. Which is weird.
It’s a comedy title, so I shouldn’t care, but it’s just really dumb.
Then again, it’s nowhere near as awful as EVIL and House of Torture shit
