– Last night saw a rise in both viewership and ratings for Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling. Ring of Honor drew 185,000 viewers and a 0.05 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic, up 8% and 0.02 from last week’s 172,000 viewers and 0.03 demo rating. It is the highest number in both metrics for the show during its four-week Destination America run to date The 11 PM airing drew 145,000 viewers and a 0.04 demo rating, up 45,000 viewers and a 0.01 demo rating.
Meanwhile, Impact drew 369,000 viewers and a 0.12 demo rating, which was up 6% and 33% from the 347,000 viewers and 0.09 demo rating last week. Much like ROH, these are the best numbers Impact has done since it moved to Wednesday as part of the “wrestling block.” The midnight airing drew 82,000 viewers and a 0.03 demo rating, even in the rating but down 20,000 in viewers.

THE FIRST MATCH SIGNED FOR FIELD OF HONOR IS BRISCOES VS TIME SPLITTERS Last year, Ring of Honor Wrestling debuted at MCU Park in Brooklyn, NY for the inaugural Field of Honor event. The night was filled with the stars of ROH displaying the Best Pro Wrestling on the Planet. Ring of Honor Wrestling will return to Brooklyn on Saturday, August 22nd, 2015 to present FIELD OF HONOR ’15 at MCU Park in Brooklyn, NY. This year, stars from NJPW will be joining us for even more incredible action! “Wrestling has a rich history at ballparks dating back almost a hundred years and we are excited to return to MCU Park, to celebrate that history by partnering with the Brooklyn Cyclones,” said Joe Koff, COO of Ring of Honor. Tickets for this event are be on sale now and can be purchased by clicking HERE! Tickets also available by phone at 718-507-TIXX, or in person at the MCU Park Box Office. The first match announcement for Field of Honor ’15 is… THE BRISCOES VS TIME SPLITTERS (ALEX SHELLEY AND KUSHIDA) The greatest tag team in Ring of Honor history faces the team that has set the tone for high-flying action in NJPW when Mark and Jay Briscoe take on Alex Shelley and KUSHIDA. ROH fans last saw Time Splitters at Final Battle last December, when they came within an eyelash of capturing the ROH World Tag Team Championship from reDRagon. Since then, after great success during the War of the Worlds/Global Wars tour, KUSHIDA has gone on to win the prestigious Best of the Super Juniors Tournament. The sky’s the limit for the KUSHIDA! Alex Shelley has a long history in ROH, from his days as the leader of “Generation Next” to his time in the “Embassy” but the team of Time Splitters has showcased Shelley’s efforts. The former NJPW Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions look to gain championship traction in both New Japan and Ring of Honor and win at Field of Honor ’15 would make that a reality. The championship legacy of the Briscoes is unparalleled in Professional Wresting today as Mark and Jay are the 8-time former ROH World Tag Team Champions. They have set the standard by which all tag teams today are measured and in the wake of Jay’s recent defeat at “Best in the World”, a win at Field of Honor ’15 against a top-rated global tag team like Time Splitters is the goal for “Dem Boys”! It will be fast-paced and intense when Mark and Jay Briscoe take on Alex Shelley and KUSHIDA. The Briscoes vs Time Splitters at Field of Honor ’15! Also signed to appear... Why did Adam Cole spit on Kevin Kelly? Regardless of the reason, I loved it!
Fantastic match on a fantastic wrestling program.

Great match. The sequence that ended with Cole superkicking AJ after AJ missed the Pele was...wait for it...phenomenal.

I'm shocked you know who that is. Lucha Underground baby! Who doesn't know who Pentagon Jr. is? I had to Google image it. I knew it! He wears a mask and is badass. (“I'll never like anyone in a mask”) I think Rey scarred you for life when he beat Nash.

Rey did scar me for life. No way in hell he should've beat Nash back then. And the Billy Kidman stuff with Hogan wasn't much better.
I think what I hate about Rey the most is those stupid contacts he puts in that makes his eyes look like zombie eyes, or whatever godforsaken look he's going for.

Dalton Castle is almost the greatest thing in wrestling. Is he better than Owens or Nakamaura though? Or the Bullet Club? Still though, Castle rules.
