Apparently he went apeshit looking for Khabib & smashed a window or something and Michael Chiesa, one of the UFC fighters, got cut on his head. There's clips of Conor & his ridiculously large asshole entourage running into an elevator and then sprinting out of the arena to a waiting car and leaving.
Dana said that "he's in jail, he's done"
Which is Dana speak for "he'll be back in the octagon soon, he's the only major draw I have left"
Fuck Conor. He became rich & turned into a giant asshole. Tale as old as time.

He's a pro wrestler working in MMA.
He'll have the highest grossing fight ever when he fights again.

He's the biggest draw for sure and he knows it. Meaning he thinks he can get away with anything & suffer close to zero consequences. It's kind of bullshit.
He'll lose a few fights, lose his appeal and show up in WWE in a few years.
I'm sure Strowman will be jobbing to him sooner than later.

It does suck. UFC's fault for not making new stars.

I think the biggest problem has been they've expanded way too much. There are so many fighters on the roster that there's virtually no one the fans can truly get behind. I remember about 10 years ago I knew every single person on the UFC roster. I still to this day watch all the fights & PPVs, but know probably 50%. There are so many shows & PPVs, it's impossible to keep up with.
And you create interim titles to accommodate your fighters, it takes away from the appeal from the actual champions.
Fighters shouldn't be able to turn down fights. They are contractually obligated to fight as part of the UFC, so make them fight! Don't say "it didn't line up" fuck that, you make them fight and if they don't, strip them of the title.
Dana is forced to bring back old fucks like Brock for a quick buy rate and we're back to where we started. As a fan since around the UFC 30s, it's annoying.

Holloway out of UFC223. Pettis might move into that fight.
So fucked up.

Anthony Pettis weighed in at 155.2 and had 2 hours to cut .2 pounds. He & his camp asked for more money that he was going to main event (and save) the fight. UFC said NO, so Pettis turned the fight down.
Paul Felder said he was on weight, but the NYC Commission said NO because he wasn't a big enough name
Al Iaquinta said he'd fight & we're waiting on that.
That's at least all I've heard. Unreal. It's a circus.

Tell you what, I’m about done with UFC too. It’s filled with just terrible human beings. The promotion blows as well.

Is anyone going? Right now you can get in the door for $93. Event costs $60 I believe to pay to watch. I almost want to go for the CM Punk pop alone.

I'd go if I were you.
Yoel Romero missed weight and the title fight main event will be either called off or changed to non title.
Not sure if it's cancelled whether that will effect ticket prices for remaining tickets available though.
Rest of the card looks very strong though.

UFC did a terrible job of taking over this town this week. If it wasn’t for the fact I knew CM Punk was fighting or that I walk by the Chicago theatre almost everyday, I’d never had known they were here. Virtually no promotion of the event whatsoever. Piss poor.

You could easily say that about most UFC events sadly. Thing is, the limited stuff you hear about this card if you were a MMA fan is this is one of the biggest cards OF THE YEAR. You would never know that though.
There are so many fucking people on the roster that the UFC and MMA in general has lost a lot of its appeal it once had.

I feel like they have lost their identity since Spider left. He was the last of that era where, in my opinion, you had so many personalities and “Dream” matches people wanted to see. Something has changed the last couple of years.

All their superstars either lost that appeal or got busted for stuff. Jones would've cemented his legacy as the greatest ever, but his arrogance & immaturity paired with his overall idiotic actions outside the cage ruined his legacy.
GSP left for years. Silva's career pretty much lost all its appeal after the Weidman losses and the steroid pop.
Fuck Conor, he's a thug, but Dana will come crawling back to him eventually. He shouldn't though. That outburst at the last show was unforgivable in my books.
Dana will again turn to Brock, who got popped for roids and looked like shit in his last fight too (despite winning), but he's a draw and that's all that matters for Dana.
You're right, so many UFC dream matches went wasted.

I'm not hating but I'm only giving Punk about :46 seconds tonight. I feel like he's going to get killed. (Granted I don't know a thing about his opponent. Just a feel I got)

Jackson was playing with him. Especially in the second and third.
I could see him in Bellator for his next fight cause he's done in UFC.

Punk got a takedown, that's about it. His striking was terrible and his defense was even worse.
Agree with Rogan on commentary, to get in there takes an insane amount of heart. He just didn't have any defense. Not to mention Jackson wasn't impressive at all either, he was just slightly better than Punk.
Punk needs to be done with this though. Don't go to Bellator, it'll only make it look worse if you get steamrolled there.
Go All In and take it from there.
Gotta give it to Punk though, he's had one hell of a week. At least he beat WWE.

I guess Cody's tweet is about where I'm at on the whole thing.
Also agree that he needs to be done with this thing. Do the All In thing and go the Jericho route.
