So apparently THAT GUY and THAT OTHER GUY are both scheduled for Summerfest, and possibly Battleground, and possibly next Monday on Raw.

I've also been seeing some sort of poster which may or may not give away the ending to this Sunday's main event.

I've seen quite a few fake Summerslam posters for this year. Not sure which one is real though. I just don't want Brock vs Reigns, which is one of them I've seen.
If they do Taker vs Sting, I want to see Taker return & get in the ring, then you have lights go out, Sting in the ring & lay him out with a Scorpion Death Drop.
Enough with this no talking stuff, if they do a program between the two, they need to talk. And honestly, I'd prefer Sting heel for it.

WWE and NXT just sent out a “breaking news” tweet announcing international wrestling legend Jushin “Thunder” Liger will be at the NXT Takeover special.
The report states NXT General Manager William Regal made the announcement tonight at the NXT television tapings at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. It’s not yet known what Liger’s role will be; it says Liger “will appear” at the live special, but didn’t confirm or deny he would wrestle a match.
Liger has made a career appearing in several companies including WCW, Pro Wrestling Syndicate, CMLL, Ring Of Honor and many others. He most recently appeared on Ring Of Honor’s television show in a taped match against Dalton Castle.
Liger works for New Japan. Could this be the start of something??

Stardust conquers the Red Arrow, then goes after Green Arrow. Eh, matches between Stardust & Neville I like, if Stardust jobs to the actor I'll be bummed.
As for Liger, that's fucking rad. Hopefully it's the start something. Just seeing Liger in NXT would be great.

I've been a Liger mark since the first time I read about him in an Apter mag.

I think the build up could be cool, especially they could build off the popularity of Arrow. That being said, I know the hero shouldn't lose to the villain, but I always hate it whenever actors beat wrestlers.
If Liger does wrestle, I hope it's Tyler Breeze. With Owens/Balor already booked, it'd be a cool match to see honestly. We all know Liger works well against guys with interesting gimmicks (see The Party Peacock as an example)

Meltzer just said WWE and New Japan have a new working agreement. Oh my. I knew they'd get their greedy little paws involved. Oh well, will certainly provide us with some great matches. Hopefully NJPW continue to work with their long time partners.......like ROH.

Huge political move: New Japan sending Liger to work NXT show against ROH
Thursday, 16 July 2015 18:41
In what is a major political move, New Japan Pro Wrestling has booked Jushin Liger to appear on 8/22 for WWE on its NXT Brooklyn show, to face Tyler Breeze.
New Japan had already booked Shinsuke Nakamura, Kazuchika Okada and Kushida for ROH that same night, also in Brooklyn.
There are other significant moves being made behind-the-scenes that don't involve New Japan, regarding NXT and ROH that are likely to become evident in short order.

If everyone hasn't come to grips with it already we are in the middle if a NXT vs ROH war. Its pretty interesting how things are shaping up. I don't believe for a second a working relationship is happening between the E and ROH, Liger was brought in to counter Okada and Nakamaura in ROH on the same night.

I'd really like for this to be true. What I'd really like is for one or two cable execs to see what they have available right now.
- New Japan Pro Wrestling announced today that they are undergoing major international expansion and will be sending top talents to various international events as part of talent exchanges.
The promotions they announced they are working with include Ring of Honor, Global Force Wrestling, the NWA, CMLL, Revolution Pro and WXW.
PWInsider reports that NJPW also announced they have entered into an agreement with WWE NXT to scout potential talents with the idea that NXT talents could potentially tour New Japan. NJPW did not list WWE as an affiliate as they did with the companies mentioned above.

I think Balor gets a decent run with the title in NXT for a while. They need time to build up more legit contenders. Joe, Breeze & Corbin are pretty much it. Rhyno I guess too, but still, they need more top contenders for Balor.
I've brought this up a while ago, have someone like Luke Harper (I also suggested Cesaro, but they're acutally smartly using him now, so nvm with that) come down. It's not a demotion, NXT isn't the minors anymore. It's popular. Get Harper down there to pose a threat to Balor, especially since Rowan is out & they won't be doing anything with him.
That said, I'm so over anything Orton does now. I'm legit more entertained by Sheamus and that pained me just to type. Vicious heel Orton was great. Face Orton is as dull as they come.
