Halford took roboto....put him up his ass...melted him down....and then laced his vocal chords with him. It was damn near impossible to have something like The Ripper be "Your song" with your girl. Just didn't work. So there's that. Plus like I said, first concert, first rock band I loved. Hard to replace all that.

12. Tom Petty and the HeartbreakersI wasn't sure if I was supposed to include The Heartbreakers. (FIXED) I think most of his stuff was with them but he did do some solo stuff too. Tom Petty is the dude that you play when you're taking a road trip to the beach. Or a cookout. Or maybe you're going up to the cabin on the lake. Or maybe you're already at the cabin on the the lake. Just good, fun, rockish, bluesy kind of stuff. And a ton of it. He must have like 30 songs that I like. How can you not be impressed by this: Refugee, Here Comes My Girl, Even the Losers, Don't Do Me Like That, The Waiting, Breakdown, Don't Come Around Here No More, American Girl, Stop Draggin' My Heart Around, I Need to Know, You Got Lucky, A Woman in Love, Free Fallin', I Won't Back Down, Runnin' Down a Dream, Listen to Her Heart, Learning to Fly, Into the Great Wide Open, Jammin' Me, Change of Heart, Rebels, Mary Jane's Last Dance.

You need to include the heartbreakers. they were around for nearly every good song. Tom is beyond awesome. My buddies uncle is in his touring entourage. Got to go backstage at alpine and got to go on his bus!!! Florida Gators fan! He is cool as shit and my favorite thing about him is that he plays lucky on king of the hill.

If any of those 3 "bands" are in top 10 this list is null and void. Its already half null really...

That should read "lesson" not "listen". Though Hawger does "listen" to some great, great stuff. Way good.

11. AerosmithSteven Tyler is the greatest pure singer I've ever seen perform live in person. I saw him early in his career and saw him again like 7 years ago or so when scorejr and I saw them at Alpine Valley. Granted it was the weirdest show I've ever seen as far as expectations to reality but that's another story. (Basically they just jammed like Dave Matthews style for about an hour and a half, maybe two hours. They left out a ton of hits. But Tyler was still awesome) I mean the dude is still going today. I can't tell you the status of Aerosmith but I do know that Tyler performed with TSwizzle just this past week!!! And of course I imagine everybody has seen the times he's rocked out with Carrie Underwood. He is certainly in the conversation for the greatest frontman of all time. I know everybody likes to say that they sold out and what not but there's not a damn person alive that didn't love all those catchy songs or the fact that Liv Tyler and Alicia were getting their freak on in like every damn video there was back then. Maybe I rated them too low. Damn Aerosmith is good. Take a look: Dream On, Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, Same Old Song and Dance, Train Kept A-Rollin', Mama Kin, Toys in the Attic, Back in the Saddle, Last Child, Draw the Line, Kings and Queens, Remember (Walking in the Sand), Rag Doll, Dude (Looks Like a Lady), Angel, What It Takes, Livin' on the Edge, Cryin', Crazy, Amazing, Pink, Fever, Seasons of Wither, Walkin' the Dog, Get It Up, Janie's Got a Gun, Somebody, Eat the Rich, Movin Out, Let the Music Do the Talking.

Can't argue with them. When I was a kid and they were on the radio I always thought their name was Harry Smith. I thought that was a pretty square name for a rock band. I believe that was when Janie's got a gun came out.
Give some respect to Run DMC for basically kickstarting the 2nd half of their career. They were state fair material before that.

While I understand why you would include it - I absolutely despise Aerosmith. I'll save that rant for another day since I am in too good a mood this am.
