10. Led ZeppelinI know when you do these type of lists that it's pretty much some kind of rule that you have to put Led Zeppelin #1, or at the very least you have to say that Achilles Last Stand is your favorite Zeppelin song. Neither of those things will be happening in this countdown. In fact I really can't take no more than like 20 seconds of that song. However none of that changes the fact of how awesome Led Zeppelin is. Top 10 in Good ol' KS's Countdown is nothing to sneeze at. Bless you. I think I like Zeppelin differently than most people. I'm way more into their "funkier" stuff than I am their harder rock stuff. Fool In The Rain is my favorite from them. Other favorites include: D'yer Mak'er, Kashmir, Over the Hills and Far Away, Going to California, In the Evening, All My Love, Down by the Seaside, Boogie with Stu, Houses of the Holy. Those are mostly my favorites but Zeppelin also have like another 30-35 songs that I like listening too. Way too many to list. I'd be here 'til Wednesday if I did so.

9. Black SabbathIf this were strictly a Metal list then Black Sabbath would have to be #1 or #2 in my book. THEY INVENTED METAL. They had a nearly unprecedented 11 year run and utilized two of the gods of metal as their frontman over that time frame. (Granted the run was a bit longer than that but not really for me. I'd say Mob Rules was pretty much their cutoff for me.) Back in the late 70's, early 80's we all had boomboxes the size of compact cars. Everywhere you went, the boomboxes were sure to follow. Well one day we're walking along one of the ritzier stretches of neighborhoods in Racine along the shores of Lake Michigan and cranking out Iron Man. So we come up along one of those wooden fences that mark the end of a street. They look pretty much like a "referee fence" with the black and white striping. Anyways, so I guess I'm probably stoned (95% odds in favor) and just jamming to the tunes. So I walk up to the fence and proclaim "I am Metal Man". (Which didn't really make a lot of sense due to the fence being wood. Or maybe I was referring to the Metal music but if I remember correctly, I wasn't really referring to anything other than trying to say something similar to Iron Man.) But I go up to the fence and yank on it and I tore the whole thing down. I had no intention of that happening. I was just being an idiot. And looking back I'm sure the fence was just all rotted out or whatever. But I spent the next week or two walking up to stuff, saying that "I'm Metal Man" and trying to duplicate that feat. It didn't happen. So eventually I felt stupid enough to stop being so stupid. I kind of have two very favorites from Sabbath: N.I.B. and Heaven & Hell. The rest of the library is extensive and I like a ton of it: War Pigs, Paranoid, Black Sabbath, Sweet Leaf, Changes, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Symptom of the Universe, Am I Going Insane, Neon Knights, Children of the Sea, Children of the Grave, The Mob Rules, The Wizard, Fairies Wear Boots, Electric Funeral, After Forever, Lady Evil, Die Young, Wishing Well.

This is how/why people freak me out. How do you possibly come up with a list other than the one I provided?

8. Fleetwood MacApparently my older brother and sister never liked Fleetwood Mac because I hadn't ever heard of them until I was at my buddy Bill Pothoff's house back in like the 6th/7th grade or so. If I remember correctly it was roughly around the time that Rumors was released. To this day, some 40 years later, Rumors remains the 8th best selling album of all time. Fleetwood Mac is just a totally different thing for me. I either like metal, hard rock, rock, hair metal, hair rock and then there's Fleetwood Mac. And the obvious reason to me for that is Stevie Nicks. It's weird when you're too young to figure out certain things about rock and roll. Like I always thought Mick Fleetwood was some freaky Jim Jones cult kinda guy. And I pretty much thought that Stevie was a legit witch. Which may, in both instances, very well be the case. But the entire Fleetwood Mac thing was so captivating. Everybody was fucking everybody (both literally and figuratively), Stevie was having coke blown up her ass, there was this whole thing with gypsys and witches, and Lindsey was generally pissing everybody off. That's my kinda party right there. So this particular nomination is a bit weighted because it includes Stevie's awesome solo career along with the overall Fleetwood Mac library. It didn't make sense to me to break Stevie away from the band. I have a ton of memories associated with this band. Almost died coming home from a Stevie Nicks concert at Alpine Valley when fuck face mophead Sammy Hagar lookalike, Kelly Asscake wrapped his car around a pole at 75 mph on a curvy, wet country road. Long story. Ask me about it sometime. scorejr and I saw Stevie at the Marcus Amphitheatre. I'll let him tell you about that one! So yeah, what's not to like? Even Judas Priest covered their Green Manalishi song!! Then you also have Stevie performing Leather and Lace with Don Henly, and Stevie also performing Stop Draggin My Heart Around with Tom Petty. Even Boers and Bernstein have used their music for like what, 15 years now? Twice in fact! ( Second Hand News & Little Lies). I love so many songs from them: Rhiannon, Landslide, Dreams, Don't Stop, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, You Make Loving Fun, Gold Dust Woman, Sara, Gypsy, Monday Morning, Say You Love Me, Over My Head, Hold Me, I Don't Want to Know, Tusk, Seven Wonders, Everywhere, World Turning, Love in Store, Big Love, Never Going Back Again, Songbird. And then you have Stevie's solo stuff: Edge of Seventeen, Stand Back, I Can't Wait, Talk to Me, If Anyone Falls, Rooms on Fire, Nightbird.

When is Blink 182 going to show up?
Also I used to really like The Offspring. Not sure they're top 75 material but they had some great early albums.

I don't know anything about Blink 182 but I do like a few songs from The Offspring: Original Prankster, Come Out and Play (Keep'Em Separated) and Pretty Fly (For a White Guy).

Great choice at 8 to make up for that God Awful choice at 9. I think there is seriously something wrong with your ears. Did you grow up on a paint chip farm? Black Sabbath is universally renown for being some of the greatest musicians/songwriters of any era and any genre. Tommy Iommi is freaking riff genius and guitar god. No hyperbole but one of the top 5 guitarists of all time. ALL TIME. It's not even debatable the greatness and awesomeness that is Black Sabbath.

I like Christine and all but she's completely overshadowed and kind of smothered by the extreme greatness of Stevie Nicks. Nearly all of their songs that I mainly like are either Stevie of Lindsey driven.

7. Ozzy OsbourneOzzy is nearly impossible to grade. First I was trying to figure out if he or Black Sabbath should go above the other. I went back and forth on that for awhile. I still don't think there's a clear cut answer by any means but I have to list these people somewhere and #7 seems just fine for Ozzy. Though I could easily put him as high as #4. At this point you're just throwing darts at the wall of rock and roll royalty. So yeah, his solo career. When he burst onto the scene with the Blizzard of Ozz album, it was like the most perfect blend of rock and metal that I had ever heard. And it didn't hurt that he had Randy Rhoads. (R.I.P. ) Like for instance Black Sabbath was a much heavier sound. And aside from jackref and scorejr, most of us also like something a bit lighter from time to time. Solo Ozzy wasn't THAT much lighter but it was a different kind of sound. And I loved it. (Not saying I didn't love Sabbath!!) So yeah, that Ozz album: I Don't Know, Crazy Train, Goodbye to Romance, Suicide Solution, Mr Crowley. That is an absolutely stunning debut. And then he follows that up in 1981 with Diary of a Madman which might have been even better somehow: Over the Mountain, Flying High Again, You Can't Kill Rock and Roll, Believer, Little Dolls, Tonight, Diary of a Madman. Those two albums were by far my favorites from Ozzy but after that I enjoyed a few more songs here and there: Bark at the Moon, Shot in the Dark, Mr. Tinkertrain, Mama, I'm Coming Home, No More Tears, Hellraiser, Road to Nowhere, Perry Mason, See You on the Other Side, Gets Me Through, Dreamer.

6. The Rolling StonesWhen I was young my brother and all his friends used to call me "Mick". Yes, it was because they believed I looked like Mick Jagger. And yes, I did look A LOT like that photo up there. And due to the fact that I'm adopted, scorejr went on a quest once to see if Mick Jagger was indeed my father. He did narrow things down and found out that Mick and the Stones were somewhere around Milwaukee back at nearly that precise time. I've just always loved The Stones. My brother loved them. His friends loved them. And thankfully I just always grew up around people from The Stones side of the tracks as opposed to those poser Beatles people. The band is still touring to this day!!! (Though I'm not convinced that Keith Richards and Ron Wood are actually alive. I'm nearly certain that they've been dead since 1982 and 1991 respectively.) And it should be noted that Mick performed with TSwizzle Live in concert just last week. Mick Jagger and TSwizzleSwazzle!! I mean the Stones have Compilation Albums as far back as 1966. Compilation Albums!! 1966!! Their library is absolutely stacked and second to none: Start Me Up, Jumping Jack Flash, Brown Sugar, Honky Tonk Women, Paint It Black, Miss You, Beast of Burden, Angie, Sympathy for the Devil, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Gimme Shelter, Street Fighting Man, Get Off of My Cloud, Under My Thumb, Mother's Little Helper, 19th Nervous Breakdown, Waiting on a Friend, Shattered, Let It Bleed, Midnight Rambler, Emotional Rescue, She's So Cold, Hang Fire, Wild Horses, Fool To Cry, It's Only Rock 'n Roll (But I Like It), Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Bitch, As Tears Go By, I'm Free, Little T&A, Slave, Undercover of the Night. LOOK AT THAT LIBRARY!!!! And I'm sure I missed a few. Goodness.

Have always hated Ozzy, in my mind he is and has always been awful. This has to be a bit now. Even Blake Shelton would agree Ozzy is an incredible talent and well deserving of his spot on this list. And how can you hate awesome? The guy has some of the most legendary stories of the shit he did when he was all crazed out. Doesn't matter if they are true or not - enough people think they are!
