I hate nickleback. Remember your first favorite band? That's Bon Jovi for me. KS use to crank living on a prayer all the way to Chicago and wed both sing it. So he actually caused this. And as far as T swizzle, I'm a man, and as a man I cannot listen to what 12 year old girls listen to, and anyways Carrie Underwood is way better AND she plays Crue, GNR, and Skid Row at concerts while wearing leather pants and the whole works. The heart Alone cover is a work of art. Hawg loves Nickelback by the way....seriously...he loves them. I think my favorite band was bon jovi with warrant close behind. Then I LOST THE FAITH and went with the Beastie Boys until they became too socially conscious. Then Green Day took over.... I don't keep a favorite band forever because most of them are only hot for a few years and then start putting out crap.

I may be extending this to a Top 75. That way I'll have somewhere to put Bon Jovi.

I say since I'm ranking 146 Survivor Series teams, you have to rank your top 146 bands.

Just for clarification sake, do we consider Taylor Swift a rock artist?

Hell yes. If you are considering that Asia and Europe bullshit as rock then Taylor is easily rock.

might as well add Toto and Kenny Loggins to the Asia and Europe branch of rock.

75. Elvis PresleyHe pretty much started the whole thing. The personification of cool. Owned the charts. Women everywhere discovered their G-Spots thanks to this guy. You know what I discovered? Don't go to Graceland on a Sunday as you'll be standing there at the locked gate just kinda gazing and looking stupid. Unlike Elvis, who never looked stupid. (Well he did get all drunk and fat and eventually looked stupid but still) 74. The PoliceThey were pretty huge back when I was like 6th, 7th grade or so. Somewhere in there. Speaking of huge, years later I got laid at midnight during the Top whatever countdown on the radio. I nailed Lisa V. just as the clock struck midnight and the #1 song in the country for that year played in the background. Every Breath You Take. 73. Billy IdolHe could probably go a few spots higher depending on my mood. His anthems like White Wedding & Rebel Yell will absolutely rock your face off but his true masterpiece is Cradle of Love as it produced one of the greatest (and hottest) videos of all time. 72. .38 SpecialClassic 80's rock. Caught Up In You & Hold On Loosely are easily my favorites. 71. LoverboyPretty much THEE definition of a "Hair Band". Still to this day you'll constantly hear Working for the Weekend but my two favorites from them are The Kid Is Hot Tonite & Hot Girls in Love.

Billy IdolHe could probably go a few spots higher depending on my mood. His anthems like White Wedding & Rebel Yell will absolutely rock your face off but his true masterpiece is Cradle of Love as it produced one of the greatest (and hottest) videos of all time. He would be in one direction if he were young now. I don't think he played a single damn note on any instrument ever. 72. .38 SpecialClassic 80's rock. Caught Up In You & Hold On Loosely are easily my favorites. These guys are the cousins of Skynrd which means they had sex with skynrd or something 71. LoverboyPretty much THEE definition of a "Hair Band". Still to this day you'll constantly hear Working for the Weekend but my two favorites from them are The Kid Is Hot Tonite & Hot Girls in Love. They have more chest hair than actual hair. They kind of look like Bon Jovi would have in 79. You have Richie on the left, Jon in the middle and Tico on the right.

70. KrokusVery underrated band. So underrated that scorejr & I saw them in some dumpy bar in Milwaukee and were 2 of like 15 people in attendance. Including workers. scorejr could tell the story better than me but because he was underage, he was required to bring his birth certificate and about 58 other forms of id's. Our Love is one of my favorite songs of all time. And Screaming In The Night is a genuine anthem type song that doesn't get nearly the love that it should. 69. Grateful DeadIf this was some type of "critical" kind of list, then the importance of the Dead would be way, way up the list. They completely owned an entire niche for decades. Some would say Phish entered that realm but I never really got them like I got the Dead. I'm not necessarily a folksy/bluesy kind of but the Dead's music set pretty damn well with me. Plus they have the nicest most laid back fans in the world. (Along with Tesla) My favorite moment (and weirdest, awesomest, ickiest) ever about the Dead was when one of those glowsticks broke and went all over me. People started coming up to me and touching me and "ooohing" and "ahhing". It grew to like 12-15 people thinking I was the second coming until I managed to break free and get back down to my reserved seats where they couldn't touch me. 68. Bryan AdamsI have no problem professing my love for Bryan Adams. Summer of '69 rocks and you damn well know it. Plus Heaven was a song of mine with me and a little hottie back when we were like freshmans. 67. George Thorogood & The DestroyersLet's be honest. George Thorogood is a bad, bad man. There's really nothing not to like about his act or his music. I can't tell you a lot about the Destroyers though. Although the Super Destroyers with Lord Alfred Hayes back in the AWA were awesome. 66. ZZ TopSometimes I think they're overrated and other times I think they're underrated. In any event they've been around forever and are still going today! The Legs video is one of my favorites. I love Tush, La Grange, Legs, Tube Snake Boogie and many more.
