Why wouldn't you do it if you're Spike or TNA? Thursday Night Football between Jacksonville and Houston outdraws the World Series. All the jokes we make about TNA, there's still little reason for both parties to not come to an agreement.

Agreed. It consistently delivers a million viewers. Not much more on Spike does that.
Spike also foots the cost for TNA so they just may decide that airing Cops is more cost effective.

More Details On Davey Richards' Broken Leg Posted by Joseph Lee on 08.16.2014
It was a freak accident...
As previously reported, Davey Richards suffered a broken tibia last night in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The spot happened when he went for a baseball slide to the outside of the ring and his foot was caught in the mat. It's the same kind of freak accident that led to Rob Van Dam's broken ankle in ECW in 1999.
Richards wrote on Twitter: "Thanks so much to everyone for the best wishes- truly amazing. I'll be ok- could always be worse!! I can't help but be thankful for the injury. It truly shows the greatness of the fans and the place I work for. Human compassion is amazing."

Major Star Reportedly Leaving TNA Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 08.17.2014
Revealed before last night's house show...
- In what has to be viewed as a major blow for TNA, PWInsider reports that Bully Ray had a meeting with the roster at last night's house show in Hagerstown, Marlyn and said he wanted to tell them goodbye, as he didn't expect to be working with the company anymore. The site reports that Bully's contract is expiring and that last night's show was the last he was contracted to appear on, so it would appear they were unable to come to terms on a new deal.
As the site notes, Bully and Devon are set to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame at Bound for Glory in October. The company also has one more match left in a series that he was involved in during the last Impact tapings, requiring that they will have to find a way to end the series without him if the report is true.
During his time with TNA, Bully has rising to the top of the company through his time with Aces & Eights and held the TNA World Title. He was also of course involved in the big blow-off to the Dixie Carter angle when he put her through a table. He was also working as an agent backstage.

That sucks for TNA. He is an instant top heel in WWE if he goes.

I've been out of sorts for the last 36 hours, but didn't I JUST read he gave a motivational speech to the locker room about the company?

Update on the TNA Statuses of Bully Ray & Devon: Is Bully Ray Now A Free Agent? Posted by Larry Csonka on 08.18.2014
The latest on his situation…
As previously reported, Bully Ray told the TNA locker room at last night's house show event in Hagerstown, MD that it was his last night with the company. According to Pwinsider.com, last night was the final date on Bully Ray's contract, and as of today, he is free to work anywhere he wants. Word is that both sides are discussing a possible new deal, but nothing has been agreed upon. Many talents were surprised to hear the news due to Bully's position in the company and the fact that he and Devon had been announced as this year's TNA Hall of Fame Members.
Speaking of Devon, he is reportedly under contract "through some point this fall".

www.tnamecca.com/2014/08/breaking-news-impact-wrestling-to.html?spref=tw"TNA just announced on their website that Impact will be staying on Spike until the end of 2014. In the short press release, Dixie Carter said the following concerning the announcement "IMPACT WRESTLING will remain a vital part of Spike TV's programming on Wednesday nights, 9/8c, through the end of the year. Negotiations remain ongoing beyond this time frame". This is relieving news for TNA fans, for weeks on end we have heard nothing other than "negotiations are ongoing" from TNA regarding the situation, so to now have the knowledge that Impact will remain on Spike until the end of the year while negotiations continue is one thing less to worry about. The move shows Spike still want TNA on their network, and are more than happy to keep Impact on their station while negotiations continue, only time will tell whether both parties can come to an agreement or Impact will find itself on a new network at the start of 2015."

Bully Ray To WWE Update
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that even though Bully Ray may be on his way out of TNA, there is no interest on WWE’s behalf into signing him.
WWE didn’t show interest in him for a few years, and didn’t try to sign Devon when he was recently available. In addition to this, his age is a factor, and he has some detractors in WWE, most notably Randy Orton.
He could be helpful in the WWE developmental program as a trainer or agent, but WWE looks to have those positions all filled, in addition to a hiring freeze due to budget cuts.

I liked Maryse's better, but I like how Velvet pretty much cracked the beers, took a sip & went screw it, I'm just going to pour it on the boobs. Bubba is a lucky man.

According to F4WOnline.com, TNA Wrestling might have been offered a spot on The Discovery Channel’s VELOCITY Network, which is only available in HD and in less than 50 million homes.
The move to VELOCITY, however, is being described as a worst case scenario for TNA and Impact Wrestling, as some major changes would have to take place for the move to work.
TNA would have to cut back drastically on production costs and the current TNA talent roster would be no more, as it would likely be impossible for the company to retain any of the top talent the roster currently includes.

Just got a call from Jeff Jarrett. He heard I still had a referee shirt in my closet and wanted to bring the best referee the early 2000's had on board. Dues to join GFW are only $500 a month too - pretty sweet deal!

They still don't have a TV deal.
Chances of this ever becoming a thing are slim.
