- AJ Styles signed a multi-year deal with WWE last week. AJ’s deal reportedly allows him to retain ownership of his name and WWE did not have much of an issue with this. He was also able to retain other trademarks such as “The Phenomenal One” and the name of his finisher, The Styles Clash.
It’s believed that WWE is allowed to use all of the trademarks while he is under contract and they will retain some of the rights to his name in regards to video when he is no longer working for the company.

Solid business decision. WWE is Evolve™ing EXACTLY. IT IS A WONDERFUL PLOY TO GET THEM TO THE NEGOTIATING TABLE. THEY DON'T SEE THE PLASTIC ON THE GROUND UNTIL THEY GET TO THE ARENA. P.S. DON'T TELL PAUL.

Spoiler I know for Smackdown, but whatever, it's a good news one.
Apparently they broke Sasha off from Tamina & Naomi. That's great news. With Tits gone & PCB finished for months, it was stupid to continue this dumb Teams deal.
Plus this gives Sasha people to work with until she challenges for the title at Mania.

Rusev apparently is in the clear of any heat he had from last year. Lana on the other hand, hers has gotten worse. Which I guess could explain why we don't see her at ringside & only see her 5 secs at a time. And it's also not surprising how Rock (albeit funny) talked to her like she was a giant whore on RAW, in front of her fiancé.

WWE only sold 1,000 tickets to Smackdown so AJ would feel comfortable. (Slightly Stolen)

Here's more bullshit. The goal should have been to never let Strowman leave his feet. But it happens quite a bit. This "report" is probably an expanded version of something Meltzer made up.
You know what would be the shits, but get the job done at Mania? Strowman v Kane. Kane can work for a big guy, get him through his spots, and make him seem like the next monster. Make it the second match. Four or five minutes. Domination from Strowman. Done.
– Braun Strowman could very well be matched up with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 32, a report has claimed. There is a ‘strong push’ for the singles encounter behind the scenes. Strowman, who has yet to lose, has been mostly utilized in multi-person tag matches alongside stablemates Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan since his debut on the main roster the night after SummerSlam. While the match is not locked in, Vince McMahon is reportedly so behind Strowman that it could happen.
Strowman is very limited right now, but people within the company are saying that he’s very much improving and is also presented the way that Vince McMahon wants him to be presented right now, so he’s not showcasing everything he can due to the nature of the character. The lack of experience isn’t a factor if WWE believes they can build and make money with him.
Strowman’s character is reportedly only supposed to show how mighty he is, not show any sort of weakness, to the point he can’t be knocked down, can’t show any sign of being weakened with punches and kicks, etc. If you watch closely, in recent weeks, he doesn’t even bend down to grab opponents. It’s all how he’s being portrayed and those are edicts from WWE management, right on down from Vince McMahon.

I've been listening to a lot of the Wrestling Observer Radio with Meltzer & Bryan Alvarez lately and he's never suggested Kane & Strowman at Mania I know that. As a matter of fact, I listened to Alvarez on JR's podcast this week & those two suggested that Strowman work with Kane on house shows in singles matches. Build up the guys stamina, let him have 10 minute matches with someone who can really work with him like Kane (it's house shows, so who cares?).
I think that's the way they should go. Strowman was brought up immediately, he didn't do anything except house shows in NXT. He's green as shit. So the only way to make him better is by putting him with guys who can help him on house shows. Putting him with guys like Ziggler or Neville won't help him at all.
I'd prefer Wyatt vs Brock or Taker vs Harper. Why Luke Harper can't be the guy they give the super push to & just have Strowman be the muscle & Rowan be the......guy who likes Rubix Cubes? Remember that shit?

PWInsider.com is reporting that Alberto Del Rio is the latest WWE star dealing with an injury.
According to Mike Johnson, Del Rio is currently experiencing an issue with his lower back. He did not compete in a match at RAW and it's believed that he wasn't even backstage at the Smackdown taping. It's unknown how serious the injury is and it will be interesting to see if he wrestles at this weekend's live events as advertised.

Sheamus with the arm, Barrett with concussion, Rusev with the leg & now Del Rio with the back.
Might be a sign to shut the ol League of Nations down.

So the WWE (ie Vince) can promptly go fuck themselves. Maybe if they put on a product people are actually entertained by, maybe the fans wouldn't have to entertain themselves. Another reason WWE is losing touch with its audience. This is embarrassing. How dare those assholes have fun at a wrestling.....err, I mean sports entertainment event.
- As seen on Monday's WWE RAW during The Rock's return segment, fans dressed as WWE Legends Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Randy Savage and Rock were shown at ringside.
Before Rock's segment, the fan dressed as Savage was doing various Macho Man mannerisms and this is why fans were chanting "Randy Savage" during the show. WWE officials backstage did not like the chants and after the Kane vs. Bray Wyatt match, security was sent to tell the fans to calm it down. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the fans were taken out at one point but let back in and told to calm down, which they did.
Then while The Rock was cutting a promo, he saw the fans at ringside and went to speak to them on camera. According to The Observer, people backstage were "freaking" because they were already mad at those fans for distracting the crowd, and now they were getting TV time. The feeling was that if anyone else besides John Cena would have done the same thing, they would have been fired, but Rock can pretty much do what he wants and go off-script.

– Recent WWE offers to former TNA talent (for the NXT brand) have reportedly been for between $35,000 and $75,000. This is the scale for the basic NXT deals.
Man. You take into account that the talents have to pay for all their travel expenses (car rentals, lodging, food) not to mention taxes, not to mention whatever dwelling they have on the one or two days a week that they're actually home........doesn't leave a whole lot left.

There's always an underbelly to anything positive with this company. As I understand it, they still don't receive any bonuses for the "special events" on the network. Even if this is just a downside guarantee, what's the annual income?

Hopefully he has a little money set aside, and this is his shot at making much more down the road. One big payoff run. He's never been to Japan for whatever reason. ROH and TNA might be offering double the 75k. But that's the most he'll make. WWE knows they have performers by the genitalia.

I am so fucking tired of this statement. They started to convince themselves this is true. Yes, there's nothing worse than people sitting on their hands. Especially wrestling fans, because who knows where their hands have been. But it's not good if people are yelling and don't know why. That means you have someone with charisma, but you can't figure out what to do with him.
- WWE NXT got some good mainstream press this Mojo Rawley was profiled by The Washington Post. The full article can be found at this link. They also spoke with Mojo’s tag team partner Zack Ryder and Triple H, who commented on fan reactions to Mojo:
“Love him or hate him, as long as they’re loud. He’s a polarizing person, but that’s awesome, and I think that’s his charm.”
Regarding the “Hype Bros.” team with Ryder, it was noted that the two got to know each other better, which helped in the ring, back in December as they traveled with WWE’s main roster for live events. Ryder told Rawley:
“Before this weekend, I wasn’t sure if we were ready for ‘Raw,’ if we were ready for the main roster, to debut this on a large scale. After this weekend, we’re ready to show them something they’ve never seen before, and it’s going to work.”
The article also mentioned that WWE officials seemed optimistic about the team, leading to more main roster live event bookings after the Christmas holiday. Mojo commented on a possible call-up:
“Now, it’s legit. It literally could happen at any time. Mojo Rawley is ready to be Mojo Rawley.”
