But if they knew about this, then why have him get in to the 3 way match coming up?

PPV is in 33 days.
He'll be back.

I think he'll be back too, but it sets a terrible precedent though. Get popped & still be in the main event picture when your suspension is up. I think that's happened with Orton before, but still.
Like that WWE did something about it though, because had they not, it would've been a huge problem.
What a boneheaded move on Reigns' part though.

It's almost impossible for a guy at that level to fail a test.

Rumors are he popped positive for marijuana.
If that's it, he'll come back as a huge babyface.

I'll tell ya what, I'd much rather have these guys smoking some grass for their aches, pains and stress than doing opiates.

I didn't look it up to check, but didn't WWE suspend Swagger after he got popped in 2013? Couldn't remember if they did or not, because he still competed at Mania for the World title. Granted there was more weeks before that Mania than the days that will be until Battleground, but I'm assuming he's still in the match.
Here's my kayfabe question, I wonder if this effects his draft position? "Raw selects....Roman Reigns. Unfortunately Roman Reigns can't be here tonight, cause....well, you all know."

Yeah Swagger got hit for it too.
I'd love it if they incorporate that into the commentary on draft night.
What if they have an ESPN-style draft show?
That'd be terrific.

Can you imagine if Dusty was still with us? He'd be a great analyst on why someone should be picked. They should have Heyman do commentary.

They should break from the norm and do a two hour draft with maybe one big match as well.

They should have matches during the draft and the winners get to pick which brand they go to or if they were already picked, they can switch if they want to. Have matches mean something again.

Have a 2 hour draft, fuck matches, they want this to be a legit draft, have stats, rundowns, have a Mel Kiper Jr. type person be talking up potential picks. Get real, say Roman Reigns draft position might fall slightly due to recent suspension.
Then have the expansion draft on the Network following the show.
First draft in 2002 could've been awesome, but it was more about the Flair/McMahon feud. They need to learn from their mistakes. Make this legit. Not just a SD with a gimmick.

WWE officials and Cody Rhodes have had talks over the last few days. There’s been discussion within WWE about singing Rhodes to some kind of deal similar to the company’s Legends deals, according to PWInsider. This would allow WWE to release merchandise and other items with Cody’s likeness. It’s possible that WWE had merchandise planned for Stardust, perhaps through a third-party like Mattel, and are offering Cody a deal so they can legally move forward with the plans. There has been no talk of Cody returning to work for WWE as a wrestler. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion just left the company on May 22nd and has several high-profile indie matches booked. He’s also teased that he’s interested in getting into acting.

Because Stardust merch was just flying off the shelves?
I'm happy there haven't been talks of him coming back, because this will be the best thing for him. He's only been under the WWE banner his entire career. Within a month of getting released, he's scheduled matches against Kurt Angle, Jushin Liger, Mike Bennett, Gargano, Ciampa and BOLA. Those will all get him noticed on the Indy scene. I'd honestly love him to pop up in ROH or New Japan.
If he'd be in WWE, he'd still be jobbing to Titus or Zack Ryder on Superstars. Some say with the draft he could've been pushed, but with the Stardust gimmick, no friggin way, especially if Vince didn't want him bringing back the Cody Rhodes character.

While AJ Styles is among WWE’s top stars now, management originally saw him as a WWE Superstars-level wrestler who could potentially be slotted in a midcard role.
Dave Meltzer says in this week issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that when TNA wanted to cut his salary significantly and he was looking to get out two years ago, WWE made him “a joke of an offer.” He ended up going to New Japan, which really helped his career. WWE’s perception on Styles changed after he drew a strong reaction at the Royal Rumble and even more so at house shows despite having little exposure on WWE television. Now he’s considered one of WWE’s top five regular stars.
Vince McMahon is very high on Styles. He was overheard saying at a recent WWE event that wished he would have signed him a decade ago.

It's stunning to me that they thought that way. Well it's not stunning because Vince but you know what I mean. It also kind of screams to me that they signed him just to hurt NJPW and really didn't intend on doing all that much with him.

WWE abandoned the trademark “Balor Club” on June 22nd.
The application to trademark the name had been in an “OPPOSE TO REGISTER” stage since January of this year due to Baylor University filing an opposition. This abandonment does not appear related as Baylor still had not filed their official opposition as of June 22nd when WWE abandoned their application.
No word yet on why the trademark was dropped but it was listed as an Express Abandonment, like the recent trademark application for Legion of Doom, the name used by The Road Warriors.
It looks like when Finn Balor does make it to WWE’s main roster, he will not be using the “Balor Club” name with Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and perhaps AJ Styles.

It seems rumors of WWE having two world titles for the upcoming brand split might be accurate as for the first time Dean Ambrose was referred to only as the WWE Champion and not the WWE World Champion on Raw tonight. Additionally, his name graphic on Raw was changed to WWE Champion as well as the announcement of his match against AJ Styles on Raw.
