Renee to the RAW broadcast team full time. Bye bye Coach. He'll be doing PPV kickoff shows.
Good for her. Should've happened a long time ago.

No Raw thread for the first time in forever last night.

I was going to start one for the sake of making one, but only watched the Triple H promo and Micks promo announcing he's the ref for Hell in a Cell.
This was a go home show for a PPV too. RAW just doesn't interest me anymore.

No Raw thread for the first time in forever last night. I thought about it but figured it might be time. I barely watched with Cubs v Brewers and MNF.

I was going to watch Raw but was too enthralled with the Brewers and the post game..... and then once that was over I watched the Rodgers to Cobb throw on loop until 3 in the morning.

There's a "leaked" card for the Evolution PPV making rounds. It looks pretty bad, but it's said to be fake. So don't believe it.

Good for him. He reinvented himself in Ring of Honor and then again in TNA. Plus he turned his life around and got away from the poisons that were killing him.
He had a much better career than I thought he would after he left WWE the first time.

I worry about the wife, but hopefully this is all great going forward.

If Matt can keep away his demons, he could be a real good agent/creative team member

I agree 100%. While I think some aspects of feuds are really silly (having AJ scream at the Joe pre-recorded segment standing in front of his house. Also having "STYLES" on the mailbox? Haha), the fact that their storylines are longer than 1 month and that they devote time to them is something RAW desperately needs. My only complaint is there is no storyline for the Tag Team division on SD. They have New Day make dumb jokes and defend their titles against (insert team who won a mini tournament here) and that's it. It hasn't been since the New Day/Usos feud that they've done anything storyline wise. Then again before Zig Mac won the titles, they didn't do much of anything on RAW either.

I don't think it's only the personal rivalries that make it better, but the fact that the people involved in the rivalries being excellent.
If it was Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman in the AJ-Joe story, it wouldn't be nearly as good. Same with Ronda and Alexa in the Becky-Charlotte deal.
Plus being only 2 hours helps tremendously.

Yeah if it was Braun and Roman in the AJ/Joe feud, Roman would've demolished the house Braun was living in and Braun would've rised from the rubble and then get pinned with a Superman Punch and Spear.

You can now catch Charly Caruso on ESPN.
The 31-year-old announcing veteran revealed Thursday via Instagram that she is now officially an employee of ESPN. Under her real name, Charly Arnolt, she will be handling SportsCenter Updates on ESPN and hosting the SportsCenter show on Snapchat. Caruso starts today as she is handling SportsCenter Updates today and tomorrow.
Caruso confirmed that she will remain with WWE, which she considers her home.

So Super Show Down Under happened. Is it worth making a thread for? I was going to watch some of it today but didn't know if I should. Or is it just comment as I watch in this thread kind of deal?

Probably not worth a thread. One title change. Matches were supposedly good.

Watching now. Opener was solid. Bar controlled a majority of it but New Day retained off a backstabber/top rope double stomp. Your typical solid match between these two.
Charlotte vs Becky up now. Crowd chanting for Becky because they aren't falling for this bullshit heel turn either.

|

Charlotte wins via DQ. Becky slapped her with the title when in the Figure 8. Shitty end, but they'll keep it going until Evolution.
Charlotte attacked her after the match to loud boos. Then Becky came back with a suplex to loud cheers.
Charlotte has held the title 8 times in 3 years. So dumb. She'll be 9 time champ by the end of the month most likely.
KO & The Drifter vs Super Cena and Lashley up next

Pretty nothing tag. Cena won with his 6th move of doom, a back fist jab? It has a Mandarin name, which I won't begin to try to type.
Cena gave a thank you speech after. He said his life is changing but WWE will always be his home. I'm sure he'll be back for Mania. Probably back for India too.
Uso and Naomi did a commercial for Australian meat pies. Not touching that one.
Iconics vs Asuka/Naomi up next. Big reaction for Peyton & Billie.

Cole is insufferable in this match. Him saying "feel the glow" and "now THAT was Iconic" gave me so much douche chills.

Iconics win after a full nelson/running boot combo. Crowd popped for the win. Happy for them getting that big reaction.
Joe vs AJ up next.

|
Post by randomone on Oct 6, 2018 11:37:37 GMT -6
Very slow paced match. We got actual wrestling for the first part, to the point where I forgot this was No DQ. Joe got put through a table and sold his knee and AJ wouldn't let the ref check on him. AJ retained via calf crusher and Joe tapped.
Really no need for the No DQ stip as you could've done an injury to Joe's leg by something else other than a table. I thought the match was just ok. So slow.
Bella's/Ronda vs Riott Squad up next. Hoping Liv stays away from Brie.

Very boring match. Tits and Ronda both wanted to start and kind of argued with Tits getting her way. From there the Bella's took like 98% of this match. Ronda locked in a double armbar on Liv and Sarah for the double tap. I could give two shits about Nikki vs Ronda.
Murphy vs Alexander up next. Thankfully this should be awesome. Huge hometown pop for Murphy.
