Murphy wins!!!! Really fun match with the crowd into it the whole time. Match of the night so far. He hit the pumphandle driver for the win. Assume we get a rematch soon, but I want Murphy vs Ali.

Shield wins the 6 man. Crowd was far more quiet than you'd expect (though when it was just Roman standing they booed). They teased the Ambrose turn again, but didn't do it. Roman speared Braun through the barricade. Rollins took out Drew and Ambrose hit his finish on Dolph for he win.
Bryan also beat Miz in less than 3 minutes, which, ok. Both guys traded Yes Kicks, Miz hit Bryans running knee for a 2, tried for his finish but got small packaged for 3. Crowd gave ZERO REACTION, no one knew what happened.
Bryan vs Styles in India on November 2nd. Also Roman vs Brock vs Braun.

I fast forwarded the entrances for Trips/Taker. That saves at least 25 minutes.
Cole just said Taker has 101 PPV wins, which honestly seems low for me actually. I never thought of counting how many PPV wins guys have.

Nostalgia driving this match big time. I'll give passes to spots like Kane literally pointing to his face to give HBK the cue to super kick him or Taker not being able to back body drop Trips on a railing during their crowd brawl.
Trips just kicked out of the Tombstone and Taker told Shawn to watch. There's no way we aren't getting Taker/Shawn at India. I don't want it, but I don't blame Shawn for taking the crazy amount of cash he's going to get for it.

Haha at one point Taker locked in Hells Gate and Trips had the sledgehammer and pressed down on Takers throat with it. Taker made Kamala-like moans while it happened. You can hear Trips ask "you alright?" to Taker after it.
Trips wins after hitting a sledgehammer shot as Shawn was up for the Tombstone. Sweet Chin Music, Pedigree, three count.
It was slow, it was clunky at times, but I liked it. Like I said, nostalgia, brother.
Overall ok show. MOTN was still Cedric/Murphy.

All four men posed for the crowd and held their hands high.
Then Kane and Taker turned on them. Taker with a Tombstone for Trips and a chokeslam on HBK through the announce table.
Cole screamed "but, why now??"

The Shield reunion feels flat to me.
I know this is beating a dead horse, but Face Reigns needs to end. Time for Rollins to be champ and feud with Ambrose and Reigns (both should be heels). Also like to see Ambrose eventually move over to Smackdown and feud with Styles for the title.

Along with All In/Starrcast, it was turning Braun to bring Shield back. Braun was the closest thing they had to building an organic star. They were giving him that slow push, making him a killer, rounding his character, and nope how he's a heel because Shield. I couldn't give a shit about The Shield. There was very little reason to bring them back and they could do this in three years when it would actually mean something. Rollins and Ambrose didn't need it. It's all another effort to get Reigns over. |

You're right about the Braun thing. Becky Lynch is probably their best character right now because the crowd forced them to move away from making her a heel into more of a tweener. This Reigns situation is to me worse than how they pushed Cena. At least Cena has the promo skills and charisma to entertain even as Super-Cena. Rollins should be the guy on Raw just like AJ is the man on Smackdown. You turn Reigns heel and it opens up so many possibilities for feuds on either show. I still listen to John & Wai's recaps of both shows but find myself more interested in watching Smackdown because of the storylines and individuals there.

As we've acknowledged here many times, the company isn't hurting. The only place they struggle is with creative. This would be the perfect time to do a complete reset. The TV deals are in place. You're going to sellout Mania and these other big shows on reputation. House show business is already the shits because of creative.
Put together a 12-18 month flexible plan. Have a restart meeting and ask the bubble, and outside the bubble, who is ACTUALLY over? Who can be? Want Roman to still have a spot with the women and children for merch? Fine. Shake his character up and maybe everyone will like him. Everything will be confusing for a while. But that's fine.
During the time people are confused and fewer are watching, bring back legends to pop some numbers. But here's a groundbreaking idea. Instead of having sixty-year-old men fight each other, how about you put them with the younger guys you want to get over? By the time the TV deals kick in, you could have some fresh stars with some real momentum.

The Crown Jewel show from great and glorious kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been moved from the large stadium it was in last year to a 25,000 seat arena.
Probably no couches in the front row this year.

So Vince has zero to do with anything NXT? We've seen footage of him backstage at Takeovers before. How weird must it feel for him to not be running a show? I mean I know he could jump in whenever, but you know what I mean.
I'd love the image of Vince in catering as the show is going on, doing nothing, hanging out with Zack Ryder or someone.
