I thought the Boneyard match was dumb as hell. I am obviously in the minority on that here.

KS, so the picture I put up of Stephanie during the McMahon-Helmsley era. That does nothing for you? Basically Triple H ruined her by molding her into Chyna. She blossomed into a naturally beautiful woman by 2000.

They should not have bothered with WrestleMania. You can't put on a real program with shit announcers, no crowd, and too many questionable workers. You can get away with 2 of the 3 being good; certainly not 0.
Yes, I liked the produced segment each night. Still, not enough to offset the rest of it.

Wow, that’s a great one. I didn’t either then. I’ve since watched a ton of 1993/94 stuff and he is one of the only bright spots of the era.

Not until he started becoming a heel. Once that happened, I started paying attention to him. And you could sympathize with him.

Looking at the tag match at Royal Rumble '94, you could certainly make the case that Bret was being a dick by not tagging Owen. "All you had to do was tag me, but you're too damn SELFISH Bret!"

Right. It made some sense.
Everyone has felt like that at some point.
It was so well done.
Might go back and watch their entire feud again.

And none of the matches as a result sucked. They were all time classics. They also didn't wrestle each other on every fucking show to make you lose interest either.
Survivor Series 93 - seeds planted Rumble 94 - heel turn WM 10 - Owen gets his moment, but Bret overshadows it with title win KOTR - Owen becomes King Summerslam - greatest cage match in history SS - Owen costs Bret the title Rumble 95 - Owen & others ruin the title match and Bret costs Owen the Rumble
They take a break, interacting every so often, but cut to 97 and they finally reconcile.
It's so fucking great. And to think, Bruce was originally supposed to be the one who got pissy at Survivor Series 93

When the pandemic subsides, I would love to demonstrate how to kick someone's leg out of their leg.

Here's one:
I enjoyed Mark Madden on the call in WCW for that brief time.

I didn't hate Madden but he was a perfect guy for Russo's style.

2000 Stephanie was money. Currently watching the Invasion shows in 2001. Holy shit I forgot about that Steph. She just got the implants & was hell bent on showing them off every chance she got! There's weeks she wore less than most of the Divas.

The lack of appreciation originally shown here for Attitude Era Stephanie is among the most offensive things ever posted on this board.

Few women were ever more gorgeous than Stephanie in 2000.
I even liked her in '03 when she went blonde and had that PPV match with Vince.

Inspired by Grilling JR today, I really never got Vickie Guerrero. Maybe that's not unpopular. But I never thought that was heel heat, it was change the channel heat.

Lita was overrated as a wrestler.
She stood out because at a time when the ladies did zero in terms of wrestling, the hurricanrana & the moonsault stood out huge. But aside from those two things (which was more than enough at the time, I get that), she was pretty bad & sloppy as hell in the ring.
Gimmick, look, that was on point, that's definitely not the issue, she was super over & there was no one like her.
But strictly wrestling? Overrated.

I don't really mind watching wrestling without fans.
(What I do mind is 2 guys 69'ing in the middle of the ring for a "sports-centric" company)

Here's one: I enjoyed Mark Madden on the call in WCW for that brief time. Bischoff just said on the Spring Stampede 2000 podcast why he hired Madden. "He speaks his mind and talks shit. Figured I'd rather have him on my side so I hired him." He did go on to praise Madden.
