Was not anticipating a Children of the Corn type episode while there's only 3 episodes left
Guess they needed a breather from Alpha for a week?
Negan is going to get involved at the end of the season right? I don't read the comics so I don't know. If not, what an easy ass paycheck this season was for Jeffery Dean Morgan.

The Whisperers at The Fair should be the finale. Next week another setup getting them there.
Yes something should happen with Negan.

Wish Tara and Enid had better endings. I liked those two and they've been there for a while. Highwaymen we hardly knew you, literally, if it wasn't for Peeps, I'd have no idea who you were. Henry, peace out, I was happy because hopefully him dying makes Carol a badass again.
Peeps does Alpha survive much longer, like another season? Or you think she's wrapped up next week?
I liked the ending, we have so many people on this show, people who have been given these little storylines here and there and now that a bunch of them are whacked, I hope we get back to the core group storylines.
Isn't Machone done after this season too?

Alpha and the Whispers will last into next season at least.
Yes the ending was great. Next week should be solid as well.

That was the worst season finale in the history of season finales. WTF?!?! A blizzard that is blinding inside the walls of Alexandria, but ok enough for 100 people and horses to make it to Hilltop, and then half of them on to Alexandria in the same time frame. Hooookay. Oh, and the Whisperers land is completely frozen over, yet the scene with Alpha and Beta not a flake of snow anywhere. And the hook for next year was some mumbled garbage over a radio that was completely unintelligible. I was really liking this season but this was just a terrible way to finish it. Boooo.

It was fine but there is no time frame for how much time elapsed between the end of last episode and the start of this one, and how much time passed during the episode.
The way it all played out, it seems like the Whisperers are snowbirds. They head south for the winter. It seemed like they were coming back at the start of spring.
Overall I enjoyed the season more than I have any of the last few.

It was a mixed bag for me. Like jackref said, that blizzard was so awful, then bada bing bada boom they're all fine together.
Also Judith runs off after dog and Negan is the ONLY ONE to chase her? THE ONLY ONE?!?!?!?
I'm with you Peeps, the positives far outweigh the negatives in this season. We have new villains, one mega villain in Alpha, her muscle in Beta, then a little tease of who is on the other end of the radio. Not to mention the previous episode wiped out a bunch of folks, so now we only have like 4,500 people on this show now.
Is Michonne done now? I thought I read she was done after this season. Maybe a few eps next season to write her off?

She's back for a few next season.
I expected something different to happen but looks like that will be coming next season.

What's up with Beta whipping Alpha's wrist?
Is there an explanation to that or just weird shit those freaks are into?

Think it's just their punishment.
Lydia had the same scars on her arm.

20 minutes into the new season and I'm already over Michonne. 10 seasons in, I'm still wasting my time with this show.

I think I watched too late last night because I dont know what happened.
How much time elapsed from end of last season til this season?
The little kid can talk now and the main group lives in Oceanside?
Or did I just forget all this from last year?

We had to have time jumped a few years because the little kid who is talking now and everything was a baby at the end of last season. I also assume Carol had been gone for quite a while if Daryl got that worried about her.
They must be living at Oceanside now because that's where they did their "training".
Trying to figure out what I care about less, this or WWE. There's so many people and I care about virtually none of them. Carol & Daryl being the only ones.
Also we have to be getting Maggie back soon, right? Since her ABC show got cancelled.

Yes Maggie is back next season, and Michonne is gone this season.

Can't even begin to describe how little I cared about an Alpha & Beta origin story episode.
This is essentially the Wyatts when they first debuted.

This show has been terrible so far. A mask gets washed up and everyone freaks out? All that Roman Legionnaire training and then use none of it during the fire when walkers finally make it there LOL And they made it a point to keep showing that tshirt Beta was wearing from his brother - sorry after what 10 years now no way that shirt is wearable let alone any semblance of the color white.
Just wipe out the Whisperers already and move on.

So we learn that Carol has lost her mind. And also the Whisperers pulled a Kevin McAllister Home Alone trick by having her walk in that trap & hung upside down.
Then randomly with 2 minutes left they threw in that Eugene is friend zoned by Rosita, who has seemingly got with every guy left but him.
I really wish I cared about this show a fraction that I once did. It's just been treading water for so long.
I know we're building toward a Carol & Alpha showdown, but the 6 more episodes (at least) journey is a struggle

Seems like Negan is finally being let off the leash. More Negan is best for business.

Hopefully Negan is following his comics route and heading to Alpha.
Otherwise a bland episode.

Having never read a single TWD comic, I'm going to assume Negan goes after Alpha after befriending Lydia & then kills her mom, thus all the "good guys" are now indebted to him for killing "the enemy". Maybe even kills Beta?
I liked the Negan stuff but aside from that it was another boring episode.
Biggest problem is the size of this cast. You start caring about someone & then you don't see them again for like 4 episodes.

I strangely enjoyed the Negan-Beta comedy tour. At first I was like what the fuck is this, but then it made me think of Remember The Titans and Beta played one of the main guys in that movie, so it made me laugh.
I just hope Negan kills Alpha either in a few eps or this seasons finale early next year. Walking Dead know how to milk the fuck out of a storyline, so I don't want this culminating in season 12 or some shit. Get to it.

Carol is going to kill Alpha and Neegan will kill Beta with an assist from Daryl. But I do wish they would hurry it up - this season has fucking dragged.

Carol will die this season. She'll try to kill Alpha but Negan will be forced to kill Carol.
Or something.
Now that the comic series is done, I wonder how much longer this will go.

The swerve at the end was pretty solid this week. Like that they built to the reveal.
That said something major needs to happen next week for the mid season finale. I miss looking forward anxiously for it to come back in February years ago.

I've enjoyed the past 2 seasons.

So Dante was a Whisperer? That seems very Deus Ex Machina and there is no way he would want to go back to Alpha and living like an animal after being in Alexandria in his position. This season hasn't been awful but it is still so choppy and difficult to keep track of everything going on when they have these episodes with only a handful of characters. Instead of always encapsulating storylines to single episodes I think it be better to interweave them throughout the half seasons.

Didn't really care for the cliffhanger that's supposed to hold us over til February. Especially since they showed in the preview they obviously get out of the cave (save for maybe 1 or 2 minor characters).
