Monday, October 25, 1993 Worst grade for RAW in months. Too much wrestling I guess?

Meanwhile in WCW... Couple of interesting things. They held it in WWF's backyard. And um, Honky Tonk Man is in your main event of a PPV in 1993.

Monday, November 1, 1993 probably the best show I have had from top to bottom. No segment under a B-, yet the fans continue to shit on my product. I'll give them a ton of vignettes next week. Nice work Speeps.

Monday, November 8, 1993 Grade back in B status. I think maybe I got a little lazy on the angle thing, so made up for it. I still feel like I've built this thing up in terms of creating or building upon stars. The roster in 1993 is not a great one to inherit. The Hollywood Blonds signing and now Vader should help. I also was able to make a contract offer for Lance Storm during a free agent window here. My goal from the beginning it to get to WM10 with an A / 5 Star PPV Show. I think I'll get there. Also Terry Speeps makes his first on-air appearance to simply be frightened that Ludvig Borga is in the back!

D- for my debut. I'll be in the Top 10 Memorable Debuts in 20 years. You weren't even mentioned by name. Not a true character debut so we won't count it just yet. When you end up having a career like The Rock it will make Top 5 because the fans don't know how to vote for shit (putting on my JR hat there).

Vader coming in early could be great. Yea, i was able to steal him from WCW. I think they really could have used a guy like Vader during this time period. My WCW steals have been Austin, Pillman and Vader. I know the story goes Austin never becomes Stone Cold without the firing, ecw dealio and then to the F, but I'll find a way to get there. Working on making them the greatest tag team of all-time right now. The signing of Vader is to set up a very legit match for Undertaker in his early Wrestlemania dealings. Hoping Taker stays healthy for WM10, but if he doesn't then Vader essentially replaces Bundy for WM11 as Taker's opponent.

Well, this explains his Shockmaster fiasco. A little foreshadowing by the game here...

Before I run my 1993 Survivor Series, here's a look back at what really happened. A lot of this was completely out of McMahon's hands. Things like Perfect and Lawler not being able to wrestle. Some things, like the 4 Doinks, was in his hands and it was one of the poorest booked PPV's in history. This was maybe the loest of the low for the WWF in the early 90's. It was a Perfect Storm. Below is this gross ppv...
Dark match Billy Gunn defeated The Brooklyn Brawler Singles match 07:46
1 Marty Jannetty, Randy Savage, Razor Ramon and The 1–2–3 Kid defeated Irwin R. Schyster, Diesel, Rick Martel and Adam Bomb (with Harvey Wippleman) Four-on-four Survivor Series elimination match1 26:58
2 The Hart Family (Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Bruce Hart and Keith Hart) (with Stu Hart) defeated Shawn Michaels and His Knights (Shawn Michaels, The Red Knight, The Blue Knight and The Black Knight) Four-on-four Survivor Series elimination match2 30:57
3 The Heavenly Bodies (Jimmy Del Ray and Tom Prichard) (with Jim Cornette) defeated The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) (c) Tag team match for the SMW Tag Team Championship 13:41
4 The Four Doinks (The Bushwhackers (Butch Miller and Luke Williams) and Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo)) (with Oscar) defeated The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), Bastion Booger and Bam Bam Bigelow (with Luna Vachon and Afa) Four-on-four Survivor Series elimination match3 10:58
5 The All-Americans (Lex Luger, The Undertaker, Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner) (with Paul Bearer) defeated The Foreign Fanatics (Yokozuna, Crush, Ludvig Borga and Quebecer Jacques) (with Jim Cornette, Johnny Polo, and Mr. Fuji) Four-on-four Survivor Series elimination match4 27:59

Having 2 big debuts the show before Survivor Series is a gutsy move.
I like it.
And I can't help but feel I made Crush look like a million bucks, which led to his inclusion in the main event of the PPV.

Looks like I got hit with a surprise as well right before this cursed PPV. I had to fire him. Third strike since WM9 and you know, Vince has that court case coming up in April... So already a change to my card as Mr. Perfect will replace Lex Luger. Woodridge Ryan's 1993 Survivor Series Card The Allied Powers vs. The Hollywood Heartbreakers Deadman Inc. vs. Money Never Sleeps Cage Match: Razor Ramon vs. Diesel Bret Hart & The Real Americans vs. The Foreign FanaticsGrand Finale for Survival Match: All survivors come back into one final match to declare the Ultimate Survivor (Winner gets #30 in Royal Rumble Match) Also a couple of other matches sprinkled in for piss breaks and what not. I have a feeling the wrestling simulator game I'm using will hate the overall booking of what I'm doing. However, this would have been incredible compared to what took place at the actual '93 Survivor Series. Young Woodridge Ryan would have had his mind blown.

I'm giving him another chance and currently have him booked with Jake Roberts for Mania... Borga actually was on Superstars which I don't post. I use that show strictly for making any pushes I have look very strrong. Lots of squash matches. Vader's in-ring TV debut is Survivor Series. Vader actually had a title shot against Bret at a house show two weeks ago.

Wednesday, November 24, 1993 Survivor Series Very annoyed with the rating. They weighted the Gunns vs. JJ and Lane match. Simulator didn't take into consideration the need for fans and Vader to get a breather there. Otherwise, I was happy with all the matches. Hogan and Hart screwed themselves out of winning with some more arguing which resulted in Hart getting pinned. Undertaker and Vader were last two men standing, which will set up nicely for the Mania match that I'm hoping will take place.

Damn I miss the remaining survivors match.
That was a good show.
Vader positioned really well, and Austin being in the final will get him some good rub.

I think its a missed opportunity to create some new rivalries or get that rub almost organicly - exactly why I put Owen and Austin in that last match. Vader will probably not lose until Mania. I'm phasing out Yokozuna. He has a shit ton of injuries. I'm not sure he will make it to Mania so I'm not counting on him to do anything right now. You couldn't see it, but you had a nice opener match with newly signed Lance Storm.

Monday, December 20, 1993 Ted DiBiase and our very own "Terry Speeps" get an A rating match. Setting up Vader-Undertaker showdown at Mania... Hogan shows some humility in regards to WM9, says Hart is completely inaccurate on Savage, Beefcake leaving WWF.

Meanwhile in WCW, their biggest show of the year... You have to love the feel good moment for the rabid New England WCW fan base. They close the biggest show of the year with Honky Tonk Man and Ron Simmons going over in the main event. If this isn't a message sent to Vince and his head booker, I don't know how much louder they could scream.

This is their second pay-per-view event in the North East.
