Part of me thinks it’s to show AEW what they missed out on, but that would be a disservice to Egon, who was probably the best all around performer in that match and I’m very happy for him.
That should ultimately be everyone’s goal when leaving a company for another, show that you have what it takes to be a top performer, even if it’s WWE developmental, that’s still a massive achievement.
Hope he splurges on the next toy hunt

Getting caught up finally. Not watching live and skipping all the bullshit is definitely the way to go. Knock this out pretty quick.
Opener was a good David vs Goliath match, as Oba is going to be a mega star. One thing, he was gassed QUICK, so if he gets his stamina up and stays healthy, he will be a monster star. Lee was a good bouncy ball for him and had a few hope spots. Felt like it went longer than it should, but Femi needs ring time, so I dug it.
For little experience they have, I enjoyed Sol vs Kelani. It wasn’t this blow away match or also this offensive flip-a-palooza (outside of the opening sequence). Yes it felt super rehearsed, but that’s developmental. I’d rather it be rehearsed than a train wreck. Both ladies will be stars if they stay healthy (love Sol, but she’s had injury issues). This match didn’t overstay it’s welcome and did what it was intended to do. Thought it was good.
Tag Titles was the perfect pairing, as Axiom & Frazer are perfect sizes for Hudson to look like a monster and Chase is always a good worker. Crowd bit at everything, which helped as well. Axiom & Frazer are a great duo and I thought this was great.
Lola & Rok-C was the worst match of the night IMO. I don’t get the appeal of Lola (I mean visually, she’s gorgeous, duh), she’s fallen into the “do a move and then pose for the crowd with your arms held out” trap. Her offense isn’t that impressive and I’ve just been very underwhelmed. On the other hand, I simply don’t care about heel Rok-C like I did the babyface. This whole turn has made zero sense. She’s a very good wrestler, but I’m immediately taken out of her matches.
Fantastic main event. It never felt like the usual singles match and switch like 4 ways go. Everyone was constantly involved one way or another. My one complaint is Evans has gotten over like crazy the last few months and all they’ve done as a result is beat him (I know he had a bunch of nearfalls, so there’s that). He won a battle royal but lost that same night. He’s lost to Egon, Spears and ate the loss here. I know he’s 20, but damn, why couldn’t Spears take that loss? Regardless, everyone did a great job, but honestly maybe the least impressive of the 4 in the match was Trick. He hits leg lariats and pump knees, that seems to be it. Again, great talker, but still needs work in the ring.
I thought this show blew MITB out of the water. Felt like a Takeover of old and not a 2.0 watered down version

Egon did his promo straight through chants. No break. No acknowledgement. Perfect heel shit.

NXT Booker is in the running for the worst color commentator of all time.

Despite my constant confusion on why they need to make Roxanne a heel, the promo is good (despite the shitty crowd), but she desperately needs a new delivery. It’s like she’s trying to do an impression of AJ Lee. Just listen to her cadence.
Things like this need to be improved on, especially considering your division is about to be bolstered with two massive talents coming in soon and eyes will be on it.

"My favorite wrestlers growing up were The Young Bucks" is not a statement I'm ready for.

They've booked Egon pretty badly. He got pinned again tonight.

I may take back everything I've said about Booker's announcing after hearing him sing with Trick's music.

Egon kept his title last night in a really good match. I'm really surprised they've bought in as much as they have to him, but in a good way.

Getting caught up on the show. On the 4th match now
Opener was hot, you can’t have anything less with Axiom & Frazer involved. I still don’t get Ridge Holland. He’s a dude, he’s been a dude and will always be a dude. Turning on Chase U got him heat, but now you’re back where you started and he’s just another heel.
Rascalz Clash was fine, had plenty of high spots, but it felt like it was just the first of many battles to come. Surprised Wentz won, but I assume Lee wins the feud.
Choo & Jordan was fucking atrocious. You could hear a pin drop the entire match. Choo’s gimmick is terrible. Jordan is too much of a gymnast than wrestler. This match was just awful. Post match with Paxley was seemingly worse.
First 3 matches, Booker just sucks as an over the top commentator. Vic is solid, but it’s so overkill with Book.

Oba Femi needs to be on the main roster. He’s so fucking great. He’s not been doing this long, but already stands out so much that he almost looks out of place in NXT. My favorite guy currently there. And it’s not close.
Tony D has improved tremendously since he first started. I still think the Mafia gimmick and whacking people is dumb, but credit where it’s due. He did great in this match too

Credit Rok-C for trying her hardest to be a heel, but she’s simply not a heel. We’ve been over this over and over. She’s the constant underdog, why should I boo that? Because she acts arrogant and bitchy? Needs more.
Parker is another that’s improved so much. She has the look, crowd behind her, solid skills, they don’t have her wrestle a different style for no reason. She has a bright future.
Post match, the Giulia debut lays the groundwork for presumably the CW debut. I’d have her win the title and call up Roxanne. Giulia being there will be such a positive to help these green girls hopefully improve.

Someone is going to beat him in 10 seconds.

Main event was good. Crowd was hot and made it feel like a Takeover main, but I thought the end of the show with Dunne attacking Trick left a “that’s it?” feeling.
Yes it leads to a match on Tuesday, but I would’ve liked a big tease for the CW debut. Not a reveal, but tease at least.
Overall it was a good show overall, but I still have trouble breaking the Takeover days of old feeling when I watch these. I need to remember things are different.
Opener was the best match of the show followed by the main event.

Someone is going to beat him in 10 seconds. Would you have Trick win the title from him? Or would you keep it on Egon and move Trick up to the main roster? I don't know how much more they realistically can do with Trick in NXT.

I haven't been watching to give a good answer. When I wrote that, my thought was they would have a main roster guy or surprise do it.
Trick is an ascending star with a great look and logical story and I wouldn't even think about having him beat Egon in 10 seconds. Or at all.
What about Owens?

Ok opener.
Cora is back with her giant new boobs.
She’s so tiny to begin with that huge knockers just looks weird on her small body.
