July 20th............. Three-way Dance: Jericho, Ziggler, Rhodes Excellent back and forth match. Many times you could hear Jericho saying things like "Is that all you got?" "Do you really want it?" "That's more like it"............etc.... Despite both Dolph and Cody stepping up their games, in the end the victory goes to:

Great start... however I don't know if I'm buying this play for more than a couple shows without Jericho stating a point for all of this while getting his ass kicked...And then having Jericho go over on them at a PPV. Willing to read more....

July 21st, Monday Night RAW, Night after Battleground
Cody Rhodes and Dolph are walking opposite directions backstage. Slowly. With their heads down. They start to pass each other. Both look up to see who it is but both kind of shamefully look away and keep going. Slowly.
They both stop. Then slowly look back at each other. Dolph is about to say something when Cody says "Do you think he was right about us?" Dolph snaps back, "OF COURSE HE WASN'T RIGHT ABOUT US!!" Cody kind of gives him that look. Dolph relents a bit, "OK, OK maybe he was right a little." Cody replies "A little?" Zolph looks at him somewhat sheepishly while still hostile.
Cody then says, "I know what I have to do."
End scene.

July 28th, Monday Night RAW
Show open, 7:00, Cody Rhodes calls out Goldust Goldust comes out to the ring. Lots of hugs and tears in this one but Cody basically (tearfully) tells him that he's (Cody) not the problem. Goldust tells Cody "I know". Cody tells Goldust that he wants to be "The one". (To end Goldy's career) Goldust tells Cody that "You better bring everything you got and a little something extra and that he'll see him at Summerslam."

July 28th, Monday Night RAW, later in the show9:00 Hour - Dolph Ziggler calls out Chris Jericho Dolph: "Why are you even here? Do you just want to make fun of me after I lose? Are you just here to start trouble and break brothers apart and end careers? Is your tour over with or something?" Jericho: "First off, Rusev is the one breaking brothers apart, not me." (Sorry, couldn't help it, that's not really part of the script)

Are you just here to start trouble and break brothers apart and end careers? Is your tour over with or something?" Jericho: "You wanna know why I'm here, Dolph? Do you really, really wanna know? I'm here because I'm sitting at home watching Monday Night RAW and I can't figure out how the guy who once retired me can't seem to win a match to save his life. I'm here because I can't figure out how a guy that won the World Heavyweight Championship just 14 months ago can't seem to win a match on Smackdown. The guy who cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase to the biggest pop I've ever heard, can't seem to win a match on Main Event." "I'm here because when I ask my podcast guests who they think will be the next big thing in the WWE, more times than not they say Dolph Ziggler but then they always follow that up by saying "but for some reason, the WWE just isn't pushing him." Dolph: "Sounds like you have some smart podcast guests" (Dolph says smugly) Jericho: "I do have some smart podcast guests but not a damn one of them will be correct if you just continue to walk around this place thinking that it's your time and expecting everything to just be handed to you." (Jericho gets directly in Dolph's face) "You have to work hard and earn it." Dolph: "I do work hard". Jericho: "Not hard enough!!" CODEBREAKER!!

That is waaaay too much "inside baseball" for the typical WWE fan to get invested in.
I like it but it's 10-15 years too late for that type of promo to get over.

Speaking of, my neighbor just asked who was peeing on their front picture window around 9:52 PM Central tonight. When I saw a mystery figure frantically typing on what appears to be a Boost Mobile phone on the porch, I figured it out. They're calling the cops.

Can I just ask if WWE has ever acknowledged on TV or elsewhere the real life relationship between Cody and Brandi?

Can I just ask, was Dusty fired from NXT and/or the company. Whether it be storyline or legit?

He was storyline fired as NXT GM last year as part of the Rhodes Brothers/Shield angle.

Can I just ask if WWE has ever acknowledged on TV or elsewhere the real life relationship between Cody and Brandi? HHH mentioned her when he fired Cody a while back because they had just gotten married, but then again I think he just said "your new wife" or something similarly nonspecific

Monday Night RAW, August 4thIt's time to play the game. Triple H, Steph, Orton and Rollins are in the ring. Triple H calls out the Rhodes brothers. Cody and Goldust make their way to the ring. Triple H: "I'd like to ask you both a question. Since you two are apparently booking SummerSlam now, what other matches can I look forward to on the card? Because I'm sitting there watching the monitor last week and two guys are out in my ring just making up their own match. See, this is exactly what's wrong with the Rhodes family. You guys are constantly putting your hand up in the face of authority. (Triple breaks into a 1/2 second, ever so slyly, shit eating grin for the marks) He continues: "By the way, is your dad enjoying his retirement?" (Same sly grin) "Look, quite frankly, I'm sick of the whole lot of you. I thought I was done with all of you last year. If Goldust wants to retire, who am I to stand in his way? But who's to say that you can even beat him, Cody? So here's what's going to happen. I'm going to go ahead and give you your match but it's gonna go like this: If Cody wins, Goldust's career is over.....BUT......if Goldust wins, then Cody's career is over. And if I suspect for one second that either one of you aren't giving 100% at all times, I'll fire you both. And if that happens, you can take a certain young lady from NXT with you because she'll be fired too! Dolph Ziggler's music hits...............
