According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE has made a major shift in plans for Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 31, and the previously planned Bryan vs Sheamus III bout has been scrapped.
Furthermore, the recent interactions between Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler on Twitter are reportedly more than just banter, as the working creative plan for WrestleMania 31 is indeed Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler.
In related news, WWE plans to bring back the battle royal match that we saw at WrestleMania 30 last year. It’s unknown at this point whether or not it will be labeled the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but WWE has been talking about making the battle royal match an annual WrestleMania bout.

WWE Part-Timer Turns Down Royal Rumble Surprise Appearance
WWE reportedly contacted Chris Jericho and asked him to be a surprise participant in the Royal Rumble match, however Jericho turned down the offer.
Although Jericho has been working live events for WWE as of late, he reportedly wanted any return to TV to mean something more than a one-off or surprise appearance, so he declined to be involved in the Rumble match.
Vince “Furious” Over Botch in the Rumble Match
As we previously reported, there was a timing error in the Royal Rumble match on Sunday night, as Titus O’Neil was actually supposed to be eliminated much quicker than he was, if you can believe that.
Titus was actually eliminated from the bout in 4 seconds, however he was supposed to be eliminated in 1 second, tying Santino Marella’s record for the quickest Rumble match elimination.
The spot was not timed properly, and as a result Titus got hung up on the ropes and was not able to exit the ring quick enough. When the mistake happened, Vince McMahon was reportedly “furious”, as he wanted to spot to be timed perfectly.

Now they look at Reigns and see Cena being created all over again, with even less emphasis on wrestling ability and coherent storytelling. The fans see this and they’re desperate to prevent it from happening. This

Cena at least paid his dues.
It's akin to Rocky Maivia being given the main event spot at Wrestlemania. He wasn't ready as smilin' gel-fro Rocky. He developed his edge and became The Rock.
Reigns started off with an edge because of The Shield but he's been handcuffed during his singles run with promos that not even Cena would say.
Reigns can follow the Rocky Maivia model and start to develop his edge again going into Mania. Just little things. Then turn heel Mania and align with Heyman.
Instant money.

I think Reigns got injured at the worst possible time. Coming off a win against Orton at Summerslam, dude was over then on his own, but left & came back and put into a feud absolutely no one other than Vince cared about. His feud with Big Show felt like it lasted 6 months. Incredibly boring.
He just needs more time. Cena was a bland babyface at first, turned heel, joined Boo-Yah B2 & rapped for months. Yeah he had 1 main event against Lesnar (ironically) in 2003, but then he slowly built his way up. US title, then WWE title.
Seems like Vince has his mind made up & said fuck it, he's hot-shotting Reigns to the main event whether he's ready or not.
That being said, Ziggler vs Bryan would be fantastic. Keep them both face though. They're both super over. No reason to ruin that. That being said, I fully expect a useless Ziggler heel turn sooner than later.

If they put Heyman with anyone, yes, it'd be smart to put him with Reigns, it'd make sense sure. Also because he sucks a bag of dicks at cutting promos, which is Paul's specialty.
But I just really want Rollins with Heyman. I loved the Punk/Heyman dynamic (fantastic matches & fantastic promos) & didn't care for the Ryback/Heyman pairing (good promos, not great matches), which I fear is more what it would be with Reigns & Heyman.

A new article has been published over at 247wallst.com, and it provides more details on the announcement made by WWE yesterday regarding WWE Network subscribers. The article, titled “World Wrestling Entertainment Can’t Pin Down Subscribers,” implies the 1 million Network subscribers reported by WWE is a cumulative total since the Network launched, and does not represent current and active subscribers. The article references “churn,” which is lingo for Network subscribers who have left, and notes at the end of quarter three of 2014 WWE had 723,174 Network subscribers, with gross additions totaling 285,000 and churn totaling 254,000 subscribers. Furthermore, the article notes WWE will be releasing its fourth quarter and 2014 full-year results next week, “and analysts are expecting an earnings per share loss of $0.08 on revenues of $135.42 million for the quarter and an earnings per share loss of $0.47 on revenues of $537.56 million for the full-year.” 247wallst.com/media/2015/01/28/world-wrestling-entertainment-cant-pin-down-subscribers/

Ziggler and Bryan could very well steal the show (depending who Rollins goes up against) but it just seems so weird and out of nowhere to me. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to watch the actual match.
See, this is yet another reason why Reigns winning is so jacked. it really messes up the entire Mania card.
Bryan/Lesnar was handed to them on a platter. Shield 3-way would've been fantastic.

What does WWE see that makes them think we really want that Sheamus/Bryan match??
or is that just the match they keep leaking to meltzer every year to make him look like a dummy... i hope it's that.

Not to mention the SEC. Could get interesting.

I think they value Sheamus more than most people. Or maybe I value Sheamus less than most people. Either way let's hope it's for the Meltzer reason.

Sheamus is awful. This break from him has been great. He is cast into the "appeal to 12 year olds" genre with Cena. Come back as braveheart or something and not this flaming orange douche with god awful finishers.

Can I just add that running the Battle Royal so soon after the Rumble each year just seems so anti-climatic.

Can I just add that running the Battle Royal so soon after the Rumble each year just seems so anti-climatic. If you destroy the trophy and have vince shit on and bury the winner of it then its almost like it never happened thus making it anti-existant. Then you can do it again every year and it will be fresh.

And that includes the Usos entrance and Lawler's shirts.

His kick is gay too. The chest beating is fine if you are a gorilla...not if you are a flaming orange wrassler.

And why doesn't the damn E know what the fans are clamoring for? The reactions are right there for them every damn week to see. In nearly all instances it's guys that can GO in the ring: Punk Bryan Ziggler Cesaro Ambrose and even Cena can go some.
Even the heels get love if they can bring it: Brock Rollins Rusev Orton Bray
There's really only a couple of anomalies: Sandow - because he's a welcomed comedic relief placed somewhere within a shitty show (Sandow can go a little) Ryback - I can't explain this one.

- WWE has reportedly started a new policy regarding dating among in-ring talents, office workers, and production workers. Per the rule, on-air talents are not allowed to date WWE office workers or production workers.
The new policy was made because WWE reportedly does not want the talent interacting with other company personnel beyond a professional standpoint. However, rule apparently does not apply to on-air talents dating each other.
Is that even legal?

According to PWInsider.com, WWE has begun putting together promotional materials to announce Ray Stevens for the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame Class.
If Stevens is indeed inducted, it appears likely that his former tag team partner and current WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson will induct him.

Of all the things wrong with the company, this is low on the list, but another thing that is pissing me off is the cookie cutter chick ring announcers on each show. Not in looks, but in voice. I watch Raw, have just started to take in NXT and rarely watch Smackdown. But I am noticing that all 3 use the same exact inflections in their duties. They all have the scream/growl as they announce the names. If they didn't show them on the screen, you wouldn't necessarily know who was announcing. I mean EVERYTHING doesn't have to be the same and fit into a mold. Make NXT different, Make Smackdown different.
I guess I'm just a grumpy old school wrestling guy.

I'd pay money to have Gallows do introductions as the Fink at a house show.
The boys would stop doing the damn marijuana in the back.
