What have they done to this man?
- It's worth noting that Rusev suffered clean losses to Ryback at this weekend's WWE live events. Before Rusev began the feud with John Cena, his singles matches at live events were always won or if he did lose, it was by DQ or the loss came in a tag match.

Seth Rollins @wwerollins 3m3 minutes ago I highly encourage fans AND detractors to watch #WWEe60 tonight on @espn. Great insight into what we do. Might change some perspectives.

Former WWE Creative member Kevin Eck stated in his latest blog, The Eck Factor, that pop star Justin Bieber wanted to wrestle at SummerSlam 2014. The scheduled match would have had Bieber teaming up with John Cena and Big Show against the Wyatt Family. Here is Eck’s side of the story:
The proposed match was discussed among the booking team (which I was on) about five months before SummerSlam, but a deal with Bieber never came to fruition. I’m not sure how close it was to actually happening.
My concern at the time was that Cena teaming up with Bieber — who was making headlines for all the wrong reasons and most definitely would have been booed unmercifully by the WWE audience — would not have done Cena, the face of the company, any favors.
To address that concern, the creative suggestion was that Cena would become increasingly annoyed by Bieber in the weeks leading up to the match, but Big Show, who would be portrayed as Bieber’s friend, would repeatedly play peacemaker.
I have a real hard time believing (or beliebing, ugh) that would've happened. Yes this is the same company who had Kevin Federline defeat John Cena in 2007, but Bieber has been a trouble making little shit for much longer than 2014.
I remember the rumor of him being the host of Mania back when it ended up being The Rock. That would've seemed more realistic than him actually wrestling.
God dammit. Couldn't have come at a worse time & for a worse person. Read that it wasn't from the match, but from him raising his arms to the crowd before he got in the ring.
If he's torn his rotator cuff, he's out what, 8 months? Plus this feud with Owens in NXT has really just started. Makes you wonder how they'll do the match?
Will this effect a callup for someone like Balor, who I wouldn't mind taking the spot & feuding with Owens.

SAMI ZAYN DOES NOT=RATINGS by VINCE RUSSO
Please allow me to introduce myself—I’m Vince Russo.
‘”If the show is good . . . they will watch it.”
– Vince McMahon, sometime during the Attitude Era
Those were Vince McMahon’s exact words to me one day at his dining room table while we were working on the next episode of RAW. The conversation came about when the previous show’s rating came in, and it faired extremely well against tough competition. Vince’s point was that no matter what else is on TV at the time—it doesn’t matter—if your show is good—it will be the one of choice.
Last night RAW experienced its lowest rating of the year, and of course out came the excuses that it was up against the second round of the NBA playoffs. Now, while that is indeed a fact, it had nothing to do with the rating bottoming out. The numbers sunk to new 2015 lows because the casual television fans for that night chose the NBA over RAW because the NBA was indeed the better show of the evening. However, had it been another time, another era, say Austin vs. Rock circa 1997—-it wouldn’t have mattered if LeBron James was matching up with Julius freaking’ Erving—the television viewer was watching wrestling that night.
However, everybody is running to the defense of the WWE, claiming that RAW was a great show on Monday night. WHY was it great in their opinion? Simply because an NXT wrestler that they all mark out for, Sami Zayn, made his surprise appearance on the WWE’s premiere show. I can only imagine when Sami got introduced by Bret Hart and came out as a surprise through the RAW entrance—to the Internet Wrestling Community is was the equivalent of Jesus himself showing up unannounced at the Sea of Galilee. But to the casual wrestling fan—nobody cared—to them this was a jobber and nothing more–so they indeed turned back to hoops.
RAW is a television show and Sami Zayn is NOT a television star—nor—will he be anytime soon. Sami is an exceptional wrestler on a wrestling show, and the only people who care about him are those die hard wrestling fans who are looking for 5-star matches that the massive don’t give a !@#$% about.
That’s why as champion Seth Rollins isn’t drawing no matter how hard they push him. Seth Rollins is a great wrestler, who only appeals to those purists who watch RAW for quality matches. The casual masses don’t care about that. What they care about are characters and storylines that ENTERTAIN them like the other TELEVISION shows they watch.
RAW wasn’t a GREAT show because Sami Zayn was on it—and the numbers clearly back that up. As Vince stated to me—there was better programming on television and that’s what the masses decided to watch. At some point in time, right around the Royal Rumble in Philly, the WWE started listening to their small, niche audience—the ones with the loudest voice—the ones who will watch as long as the word WRESTLING is somewhere in the show’s title.
They have completely made a statement that they no longer care about the masses watching television—the masses that stopped watching their product a very long time ago. I fully understand that Sami Zayn is one of the best wrestlers employed by the WWE, there is ZERO DOUBT that he is a “great worker”, but as my friend the Disco Inferno so eloquently puts it . . . “Wrestling Doesn’t Draw”, and that was once again proven this past Monday night.
Hate mail welcomed and accepted. Nothing personal, I’d just REALLY like the casual television viewers to start watching RAW again. Unfortunately, that will never happen if there is absolutely no reason to.
Always was, is and will be, about ENTERTAINING the MASSSES.
Bro, speaking of entertaining, make sure you check out the other blogs posted daily here on CSRWrestling.com.

Russo is such a shitbag. Score Jr was beyond excited about Sami Zayn. So much so that when I started poo-pooing Raw (though I hadn't seen it yet) and the WWE in general, he was NOT happy with me.
The Ascension attacked Axel & Sandow, so one would assume the Mega Powers are about to reunite. Slow handshake, that's all I'm asking.
As for Russo, of course Zayn didn't equal ratings, it's not like his debut was announced in the week or weeks leading up so people could get excited & ready to watch. That's why it's a surprise you fucking idiot! Did anyone think that Raw would be the best of the year heading into the show? No. But how is that Zayn's fault?
Russo knows putting a headline like that would draw heat from the very little who still give two shits about him.

According to PWInsider.com, while no official word has been released on the severity of Sami Zayn’s injury, backstage sources in WWE believe the injury to be a torn rotator cuff.
As noted, the injury appears to have initially taken place as Zayn was making his entrance for his match against John Cena. The injury might then have been exacerbated by the belly to back suplex Zayn took from Cena.
Yeah watching it back, when he got to the steps, you can absolutely tell he did something to his arm. It even looked like he tried to tell Bret. They went to commercial before the match started, so I assume he told the ref & Cena then.
I'm hoping for the best, but it doesn't sound good.

PWInsider.com is reporting that top NXT superstar Hideo Itami is currently injured with a shoulder injury. According to the report, Itami is expected to be out of action for 6-8 months.
Itami was originally scheduled to compete in a #1 contender’s triple threat match at the upcoming NXT Takeover: Unstoppable event, against Tyler Breeze and Finn Balor, but it appears that his spot in the match is in jeopardy. No word on what WWE’s decision will be regarding the matchup.
The NXT brand has had some bad luck as of late, with Sami Zayn recently getting injured during his surprise main roster debut, and as reported, Alex Riley is out recuperating from a knee injury.
Awful news. This is a chance though for others to step up & make them into legit stars in NXT now though. 2 of the 4 top challengers (Breeze & Balor being the other) are now out for an extended period of time. It's brutal, but it'll be interesting to see how they go about handling this.
Do you make Baron Corbin a top contender? Do you hot shot someone who hasn't debuted yet like Uhaa Nation? Hell could Rhyno challenge Steen? I would honestly be fully content with a Breeze, Balor, Owens feud for the title for the next 8 months honestly.
This seems to push back the callup for Balor to the main roster, but quite frankly, I'm fine with that.
