Dammit. I mixed up the pictures. That's the crowd at TNA's Wrestlemania last night. By the way, Team 3D made two comments about fighting The Bullet Club while being inducted into TNA's HOF. The Bullet Club. Who works for a rival Japanese promotion New Japan. The Bullet Club who's going to be working with Jarrett's new promotion. I don't even know what to say. I just got to this news, so I'm trying to figure out if this was a shoot or some dumb promotional vehicle.

I see that as well. It'd be like Wrestle-1 doing a PPV in Orlando and bringing out a Wyatt Family tshirt.
Hilarious.
Also saw that they used the traditional ring again last night. At their Wrestlemania.

The Bucks would wrestle circles around The Dudleys (or any team for that matter #SuperkickParty). Guess this could be a challenge to AJ too. Even though I find this whole thing pointless. Aren't Bubba & Devon's contracts up soon? Or have been? It's confusing when TNA tapes their shows 5 months in advance. I know Angles is done.
Their Wrestlemania & they don't have the World title or Tag Titles on the show. The Wolves, (I know Davey with the bum ankle) who you put over after a month long feud on TV, arent on the show. And your top title of the company, nowhere. No Roode, no Kennedy, no EY. Just dumb.

It basically turned into a cross-promotional show between 2 second-rate wrestling companies. Both will probably be closed by the start of 2015. As a Muta mark, and someone that always wanted TNA to succeed, it's sad.

According to a new report, several business partners associated with TNA Wrestling have been told that the company will be announcing a new television deal within 10 days. If the report is accurate, we should have an idea where Impact Wrestling will land by next Sunday, October 26. Coincidentally, that’s the same day as WWE’s annual Hell in a Cell PPV.
Earlier this week Dave Meltzer noted that Dixie Carter had been telling certain individuals within the company to expect a “major announcement” in the very near future, so this would seem to confirm that earlier report. That said, there were also rumors that TNA was in talks with a talent whose signing would “shock” the fans, so it’s possible there are multiple announcements still to come.

The problem with The Journey is that there is no destination.
Right now it is co-branding NJPW's first American PPV.

As first reported a while back by the Wrestling Observer newsletter, Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling announced this week that the January 4th Tokyo Dome will air on pay-per-view in the United States and Canada. The show will air live at 2am eastern/11pm pacific time on a late Saturday. The show will start after the finish of the big Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier UFC pay-per-view so it will be interesting to see if the UFC show affects the buys negatively for this show. They will also replay the show on Sunday from 7-11pm eastern time. The show will have a four hour window.
All major pay-per-view carries in the United States and Canada have agreed to carry the show. The original idea was to charge $24.95 for the show but there are negotiations going on so that price could change, according to the latest Observer report.
If the show does well then the plan is regularly.
There is still the issue with ROH talents being on the show. As noted last week, Jeff Jarrett (and Scott D’Amore) met with ROH head Joe Koff. Dave Meltzer said that it was described to him as more of an introduction and shake hands meeting with nothing decided. Also, no deal was reached regarding ROH helping promote the 1/4 show on their TV after Final Battle. Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish, and the ROH champion were all earmarked for the 1/4 show and there were supposed to include NWA and ROH title defenses on the show. The talent from ROH expected on the show were told that they would still be on the show but their match would not air on pay-per-view in the United States so those matches would be dark matches.
An ROH source said that everything was in flux but things will get worked out when all is said and done. Another person echoed those same thoughts by saying they believed things would get worked out by the show time. The other issue is that Sinclair doesn’t really understand wrestling but the generally feeling is tha things will get worked out.
Joe Koff said taht as of now nothing from ROH is officially booked for the 1/4 show at this time and there is nothing to talk about until a deal is signed. Two other sources said that New Japan has already purchased airfare for some ROH talent so that makes things awkward. The ROH talent affected by this are said to be privately very down about this situation.
Talks with Jim Ross and Mike Tenay are continuing but Tenay’s decision will likely rely on what happens with TNA. Ross’ deal might be difficult to close because of the limited budget tied to how many buys they get on pay-per-view in the United States.

UPDATE: Pwinsider.com reports that Ross will be traveling to Tokyo, Japan to call the action live at the venue. Ross had previously stated that he would not be interested in working on the event unless he could do commentary from the venue.
GFW are currently looking over several possibilities for his broadcast partner.
ORIGINAL: The following was sent out today, announcing that Jim Ross will be the play-by-play announcer for the WrestleKingdom 9 event…
JIM ROSS TO CALL GFW’S PRESENTATION OF NJPW’s ‘WRESTLE KINGDOM 9’ ON JAN. 4
NASHVILLE — Jim Ross, the preeminent voice of professional wrestling for the past four decades, has agreed to provide the play-by-play for Global Force Wrestling’s presentation of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s “Wrestle Kingdom 9” live on pay per view in North America on Jan. 4, 2015.
The Hall of Famer has called more pro wrestling PPV events than any broadcaster and is regarded as the greatest, play-by-play announcer in wrestling history. He will be returning to the mic at one of the biggest events in the world. This is the 24th year of NJPW’s annual extravaganza at the Tokyo Dome, where more than 40,000 fans from around the world are expected to attend.
“I am truly honored and excited to have been asked to be a part of this historic event,” Ross said. “To be able to return to my roots and to provide play by play for an amazing, pro wrestling product will be special. I never thought I’d ever return to ringside for a wrestling event but this opportunity was just too special to turn down.”
GFW founder and CEO Jeff Jarrett said he had been working on lining up Ross for weeks.
“When you think of the great events in wrestling over the past 30 years one of the things they have in common is the man behind the microphone. And that man is Jim Ross,” Jarrett said. “I’m excited for this event, and I’m excited for good ol’ JR to be a part of it. GFW fans wanted him, and from day one we have said we’re going to give our fans what they want.”
The show, which will air live at 2 a.m. ET (11 p.m. PT) and re-air in prime time at 7 p.m. ET (4 PT) is available on DirecTV, Dish, AT&T U-verse, Comcast, Verizon Fios and all cable systems in the United States, and in Canada on Bell ExpressVu TV, Rogers, Shaw, Sasktel and Telus. Check your local listings for availability. The show also will be available on the “Flipps” app on iTunes and Android.
This year’s card is headlined by an IGWP heavyweight title match between Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada. The Bullet Club, of which Jarrett is a member along with AJ Styles and IWGP tag team champions Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows, will appear as well.
The show will be available in English and in Japanese via the second audio program (SAP) button on your TV.

Jim Ross was interviewed by Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer radio shortly after it was announced that Ross would be the announcer for Global Force Wrestling’s co-promoted show with New Japan Pro Wrestling on January 4th.
Ross revealed that he spoke with Jeff Jarrett for the first time on Monday. It was the first time he spoke with Jeff since 1999. The negotiations for Ross for GFW’s New Japan Show were between Jarrett and Ross’ agent Barry Bloom. As of yesterday, Ross had not signed the contract but Ross has given his word and will be at ringside in Tokyo.
Ross also said that he wanted some say on who he would be working with and he wanted some say on where he would call the show from so that’s why he will be in Tokyo and not calling the show from a studio. Ross said that he and Jeff will talk before the decision is made on who will be the color commentator alongside Jim Ross.
Ross said that he would be open to more shows but it has to be manageable and it has to be fun. Right now he’s just concerned with the January 4th show. Ross said that he’s heard that they will have ample time on the cable systems to promote the January 4th show.

As noted yesterday, Global Force Wrestling announced that Jim Ross would be the announcer for the big July 4 Tokyo Dome show. They are also in negotiations with Mike Tenay but Tenay wouldn’t be allowed to do the show if he’s with TNA. Tenay’s contract expired a couple of months ago but he agreed to an extension. That expires in about one week.
He’s in a weird spot right now because TNA says they are interested in keeping him but TNA is not discussing deals with anyone right now until they get their TV deal signed. If Tenay doesn’t do it then they will find someone else as the second announcer on the January 4th show. The show will also also air in Japanese for the hardcore fans in the United States that already follow the product. It will also be available (in both languages) on the Flipps app. It will be available on Niconico in Japanese.
The price will be $34.95 on pay-per-view in the United States and Canada. At one point there were discussions to do the show at $24.95. Global Force Wrestling will be releasing videos online regarding the show until the event. They will also market heavily to the Japanese community in big U.S. cities.

There are rumors going around this evening that TNA has signed a deal with a network. The front runners are Spike TV (according to people in TNA) and Destination America. As noted earlier, Destination America (owned by Discovery networks) has had talks with TNA in the past week. The story on the negotiations originally broke in the Wrestling Observer newsletter.
The rumor I heard is that the deal reached is with Destination America. Hopefully we’ll get confirmation soon. Dixie Carter commented on the TV situation and indicated that they will announce the deal soon.

Former TNA Impact Wrestling star "Super Mex" Shawn Hernandez recently spoke to V2 Wrestling Podcast.
On Chavo Guerrero using Eddie Guerrero’s mannerisms to get himself over: “TNA wanted him to do that. You know damn well when he was in WWE he wasn’t doing that crap. Why else would he do it? The guy’s been wrestling twenty years, he’s not retarded. He’s an excellent wrestler. Why would you want to be a novelty act? They didn’t even give us a team name because they wanted to sell Guerrero t-shirts.”
On his departure from TNA: “The only way I know that I’m not on the show no more is I don’t get a cheque no more. The last time I got a call from TNA was the end of November 2013; my contract ended May 12th (2014), which is awkward because I thought it was the 14th of May. I wake up on the 12th, and it was all over social media, Impact wrestling unfollowed me on Twitter… I text Mrs Carter the day after my contract expired saying “thanks for the eight years”; I’m still waiting for a response. It is the most bush league thing I’ve ever heard of.”
On the main problem with TNA: “As long as the Carters have billions of dollars, that company will never go away. I just think the infrastructure just needs, you know, how you snake a toilet? They have Jeff Hardy, you had Sting, Kurt Angle, the best up and coming talent (like) Austin Aries, Roode, Styles, all these guys that could do anything, and you let every former WWE employee that served coffee to Vince McMahon try to be the boss time after time after time.”
On LAX: “The reason why you saw LAX being so good and so strong on TV was because Konnan literally had to threaten to quit and take his bag and roll into the parking lot every time they came up with some corny ass idea for LAX.”
On whether he would return to TNA: “Of course not. You wrestle somewhere eight years, you do every stupid semi-racist vignette. I know how a Mexican looks, acts and talks. I don’t need a fifty year old white man telling me I’m not being Mexican enough. At the beginning of Mexican America I was doing all the talking, but because I wasn’t saying essa and orale I magically became the non-speaker. I told them I wouldn’t talk like that because I live in Houston and I’m not gonna get my ass kicked because I’m making fun of my own people.”

I did not realize how little roughly one million viewers means these days in the cable world.
Richard Gray @wnwdotcom 3m3 minutes ago
#ImpactonSpike did 970,000 viewers this week, up 40K from last week's 930,000 but not among the top 100 cable programs for adults 18-49

I hope their new time slot is 2 in the morning between infomercials for blenders.
I watched 30 minutes last night & was so annoyed I couldn't watch anymore. Another Abyss heel turn? Build The Wolves up the past how many months & have them drop the titles to Abyss & Storm?
Davey, Eddie, Roode, Aries, EC3 deserve better. I was surprised at how good Lashley was the few times I saw him wrestle. That's the only positive surprise I've had the past few months worth of YouTube I've seen of TNA.

As we reported earlier today, an announcement regarding a new TNA TV deal could come as early as this week, and while the network name has not been confirmed, it’s said to be with a smaller, lesser known network.
According to PWInsider.com, all signs point towards the new deal brining in less money for TNA at the start, however the new deal will also give TNA more opportunities for programming other than Impact.
The idea is TNA will be the bellwether brand for the new partner, and the TNA product will be a top priority for the network. As we noted before the deal is multi-year deal, meaning TNA will be on TV for at least two more years.
