- With the move to Destination America, TNA Impact will remain a two-hour TV show. The show will air either on Tuesday night or Wednesday night.
– TNA was working to sign more than just a new TV deal for the Impact Wrestling TV show. While the Destination American deal is a smaller TV deal with less available viewers, TNA took the deal because of additional programming options and because Destination America will treat them as an important part of the network.
– TNA was in negotiations with WGN, but the deal would have held TNA off of TV until the second quarter of 2015. TNA couldn’t take the risk of being off the air for that long and passed.
– TNA reportedly had discussions with FOX and CMT as well.
– TNA’s negotiations with Spike reportedly ended about three weeks ago. Spike TV was offering a smaller deal and would not give TNA additional programming.
– Some of the additional programming that Destination America may air are the TNA One Night Only specials.
– TNA will now focus on signing talent to new deals. From there, the plan is to refocus the creative direction of the company and to re-work the entire company from the inside out.
– Josh Matthews will be the point person on overhauling the TNA website.
– Live event touring will likely remain very limited going forward.
– With the loss of the Spike TV deal, TNA will be off TV in Canada. The company is working on a new Canadian TV deal.

It's kind of surprising that Spike wouldn't give them an hour more TV that they could use as another show to build interest in their product. Like a Main Event type show. Does reruns of Ink Master & Bar Rescue really draw a ton of viewers? Or I'm assuming TNA just draws that low of viewers.
"From there, the plan is to refocus the creative direction of the company and to re-work the entire company from the inside out."
Something that should've been the focus how long ago? Sad that it takes them losing a TV deal to realize that their creative has been absolute shit for years.
Legit question, I missed watching any Impact last night, so does this mean they're done for the year, or at least until they tape more eps when they start airing on this new channel? So rivalries & everything just stop and pick up again in the new year? Yeesh.

So rivalries & everything just stop and pick up again in the new year? Yeesh. This was the most recent plan. Not sure if it has changed since the Destination America announcement: Impact Wrestling’s last first-run episode will air on November 19th and then it will be pre-empted on November 26th for Thanksgiving week. The current plan is to do three weeks of “Best of Impact Wrestling” episodes that would air on December 3rd, December 10th and December 17th. After that, TNA could be done airing on Spike. Spike officials say that no decision has been made regarding TNA programming airing on December 24th and December 31st.

I think they will keep the existing champions, but do a creative reboot as the article stated. It will probably be similar to the first show in 2010 when Hogan and Bischoff took over.

I actually like this quite a bit. Kurt has one last run, gets a couple wins, but ultimately puts over young talent. Probably the best chance they have for any last shot at success.

Kurt Angle is seen as the "face of TNA" as they reset on Destination America. Was given priority in his new contract.

- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirms reports that TNA is planning to “reboot” Impact when they debut on Destination America. The plan is to debut new graphics and a change in the way the show is visually presented.
Among the biggest changes planned is that Josh Matthews, who signed on with TNA after he was released by WWE earlier this year, will replace Mike Tenay on the commentary team. TNA brought him in to be an announcer originally and relocated him to TNA’s home city of Nashville, where he’s been working on several different projects over the past few months.
Wow!!

Tenay will be JR's sidekick for the Jarrett deal. Not my pug. Mike Tenay. This absolutely makes sense. They should replace Taz as well. A complete brand change is the only way they have a future. The performers aren't the problem.

The performers aren't the problem. Agreed. JR and Tenay will call the New Japan deal. Hopefully they will also call Global Force going forward, once they get an actual roster and TV spot in 2017.

There is still no confirmation on the day and time for Impact’s debut on Destination America but the belief is still that it will remain on Wednesday nights at 9pm eastern with a replay on the weekend. The replay would also have some new material. Dixie Carter noted earlier today in an interview with Jeremy Borash that TNA would be getting promotion across all of the Discovery Communications platforms and Discovery is dedicated to helping make that network grow.
As noted last week, the UK shows next month will also be TV tapings. Jeff Hardy is not allowed to fly to the UK because of past legal issues so he won’t be on those shows. In regards to the story last week about Jeff Hardy taking bookings in Canada, he hasn’t worked there in a long time and Jeff only takes bookings through TNA or his brother Matt. Neither has been negotiating with anyone in Canada.
News from WrestlingObserver.com was used in this post.

Global Force is really overdoing this NJPW PPV. I mean what are they really even doing other than sending JR over there and having brokered a way to show it in the US? I think I'm missing something that perhaps one of you could explain to me. Other than that, I'm starting to think this PPV is gonna springboard GFW.
