Cleaner staying in New Japan. Announced on Wrestling Observer Radio he's not signing with WWE.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed. I know he's going to continue to be amazing in NJPW, probably even beating Okada at some point soon, but with the exception of a few names, Kenny has already had amazing matches with virtually everyone there.
Would've liked him to show up in WWE, but not this year.
Bucks are thrilled, they get to keep their Elite buddy & will continue to make butt loads of merch money.

Just saw who is the favorite now to win the Rumble. Won't spoil it for anyone, if you want to know, it's out there, but man, not a fan if it's the direction they actually go in.

Wrestlemania isn't what it once was. It isn't a culmination of a years worth of storylines.
It's an attraction now for the casual viewer. The night after Mania is for us.

I said this last year during Mania season. WrestleMania is the All Star game. It accomplishes next to nothing, but it's a draw because of all the big names.

Just watched the Rumble 97 tonight. With the exception of Austin's story in the Rumble & the HBK hometown pop, my God this show doesn't hold up. It sucks badly. Trips/Goldust was too long, Faarooq/Ahmed was brutal in a bad way, Taker/Vader was super boring & sloppy, 6 man Lucha featuring guys too old to be in WCW & a mediocre HBK/Sid match which wasn't as good as I remembered.
Definitely see Sunday being a better show.

As previously reported, Bryan Alvarez mentioned on Friday’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live that Konnan recently claimed on his podcast that Mysterio’s contract with Lucha Underground has expired. Konnan also hinted at the possibly that Rey could return to WWE for Sunday’s Royal Rumble event.
