Kofi Kingston's momentum could end up deciding what the WWE Title match at WrestleMania 35 is.
There is some truth to the rumors of a returning Kevin Owens possibly challenging WWE Champion Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania, according to @wrestlevotes. However, the situation was described as "fluid" and it was noted that nothing for the WWE Title match at WrestleMania is set in stone as of now.
It was also noted that Kofi's ongoing wave of momentum could still shake things up. A source noted to WV that they wouldn't be shocked to see Kingston vs. Bryan for the title at WrestleMania 35.
As noted, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio earlier this week that there was talk of having a returning Superstar as Bryan's WrestleMania challenger, instead of someone he's already been feuding with. There was speculation on everyone from Owens to Sami Zayn, Bray Wyatt, Batista, and even names like The Undertaker, John Cena, and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, who is also rumored for a retirement match at WrestleMania.
Kofi is currently scheduled to challenge Bryan for the title at WWE Fastlane on March 10, which will be the final pay-per-view event before WrestleMania 35. Kofi was not the original choice for Bryan's Fastlane opponent. As of Monday morning, Bryan was to face another Superstar at Fastlane but plans were changed on Monday afternoon due to the reactions to Kofi's performance in last Tuesday's Gauntlet Match on SmackDown, and then his performance at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on Sunday.

I did a Google search and it seems kind of real. There's stories going back to late 2018 about the possibility.

I'm predicting that he surprises everyone, is in gear, and then goes on to defeat Black, Garango & Ciampa in a 1 on 3 match.

Vince is going to figure out a way to get him in the RAW Women's Title match.
Just so he's in the main event of another Mania.

I'm watching Gotham, which is thankfully in its final season. I love most things Batman and I've been in from the start. But now it's like a chore. None of the storylines mean anything. One week someone is a good guy. The next a bad guy. There are never any ramifications of anything that happens. Nobody actually dies. They just return a season later. Nothing means anything so you just stop caring about what happens. As much as I want to like it, it's just a habit at this point.
Sound familiar?

WWE MAKES HUGE CREATIVE HIRE, BIG NAME FROM THE PAST RETURNING By Mike Johnson on 2019-02-23 13:26:00 World Wrestling Entertainment is going back to the past to help forge their future.
PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources that Bruce Prichard is returning full-time to the company to work in a top position on the creative team and will start back at WWE TV this Monday in Atlanta, GA.
Prichard’s position was described to PWInsider as being “as important as possible” in creative and he be one of the top point people in the creative team going forward. Prichard, 55 years old, was best known on camera as Brother Love but worked behind the scenes for a number of years as a producer and worked directly with Vince McMahon as one of his top lieutenants. We are told that Prichard’s new role will be very similar to his former position in that he will be working directly with McMahon on all things creative.
Prichard left WWE in 2008 and has since become the host of one of the most popular pro wrestling podcasts Something to Wrestle With, where Prichard and co-host Conrad Thompson do deep dives into events and personalities from WWE’s history. The podcast has become so popular that a version of it was brought to the WWE Network for a series of episodes with a second season planned for later this year. There is no word what this hiring means for the future of the podcast itself.
Prichard originally broke into the business under the legendary Paul Boesch and worked for Impact Wrestling after exiting WWE in 2008. He has made cameos at Brother Love on WWE programming in recent years.

I got out of the shower this afternoon and had a bunch of "Holy shit Bruce" messages. I thought he was no longer with us. Instead he's next to Vince again. Crazy time to be a wrestling fan.

Oh wait, he already does that. Nevermind.

INJURY FORCES RAW REWRITE, COULD HAVE EVEN GREATER IMPLICATIONS By Mike Johnson on 2019-02-28 15:50:00 WWE NXT Champion Tomasso Ciampa has a neck injury that has forced him out of action, resulting in a rewrite of this past Monday’s episode of Raw, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources.
Originally, Ciampa and Johnny Gargano were slated to compete in a four-way tag match that would have also featured Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins as well as Aleister Black & Ricochet and another team PWInsider.com has not confirmed. Raw Tag Team Champions the Revival were slated to be ringside for the match but once it was confirmed Ciampa would not be cleared to wrestle, it was changed to the Revival vs. Black and Ricochet. Ciampa and Gargano instead appeared in a non-wrestling roles on the show.
Ciampa is not on the road this weekend.
We are told the neck issue has been a lingering thing for at least 4-5 weeks, possibly longer. Depending on if and when Ciampa is cleared to return, WWE will have to be creative regarding the NXT Championship and the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Classic, which Ciampa is competing in. We are told all options are on the table, depending on what the final determination is regarding his injury, but as of Monday he was not cleared to wrestle medically.
Ciampa, 33, has been with WWE NXT since 2015, when he debuted as half of DIY with Johnny Gargano. Despite several injuries, he has emerged into one of the best villains in all of WWE over the last year.

Gargano & Ciampa don't really need to be on RAW or Smackdown at the time being anyway. Plus, they've filmed all the Dusty Classic stuff they need for them (spoiler) and everything is basically set up for Takeover aside from maybe some intense promos/video packages. I think they keep him out of the ring until Takeover.
All this said, I pray he doesn't need neck surgery and this can all be healed with rest for a while.
It'd be legit heartbreaking if Ciampa & Gargano can't have their conclusion of the TWO YEAR LONG feud at the biggest Takeover in history.
