Bischoff supposedly not going to be involved with creative on Smackdown after all. He'll be "in charge" but not have a voice in creative. Weird. So basically he's reprising his TNA role of drawing a paycheck without having any actual responsibility. Weird indeed.

There's going to be a WWE talk show on FS1 hosted by Renee Young. Probably along the lines of UFC Tonight.
Also there's talk of NXT possibly being on FS1 on Wednesdays to potentially go head to head against AEW.
Then there's also talk of WWE doing a Lex Express-like campaign having wrestlers travel in a giant truck or bus to get the word out about WWE coming to FOX to both smaller and bigger markets.

The only issue with the NXT thing is, that's a major (arguably sole) reason I have the Network. If that goes to TV, I'll just get rid of the Network entirely. I assume many others will do the same.
Also for a company who says AEW isn't competition, they sure don't act like it. Putting shows on the same nights as the handful of shows AEW puts on, potentially going head to head when TV starts.
i agree it's a great time to be a wrestling fan with the amount of content out there. I'll be certainly supporting AEW through & through though.

I'll still keep the Network because of all the vault stuff and their events, plus NXT UK/205 Live.

Man, Rollins needs to learn how to sound like a company man, but not come off like a giant douche. Love the guy but this is a huge weakness for him. First the Ospreay stuff and now this.
Really, AEW is taking food off your table? You're rich, you can more than afford Happy Joe's Taco Pizza (only Woodridge would enjoy that reference).

The sexy headline is Vince and HHH selling. But check out Barrios, Wilson, and Dunn. Those are HUGE totals.

Just saw a rumored match of Charlotte vs Trish at Summerfest. When they realize they've spent barely any time building a legit women's feud for their 2 women's titles, they need that hometown legend pop to get it. Trish in her hometown, makes sense. No way in hell Charlotte does the job though, unless they build to something else, but I see this more of a one off. Man, you really don't realize how great Ronda was until she's gone.

Just saw a rumored match of Charlotte vs Trish at Summerfest. Man, you really don't realize how great Ronda was until she's gone. Ronda was a solution to a problem that didn't exist. I certainly understand the benefits of signing her when they did, but they already had the pieces in place for an exciting and innovative women's division. But when you bring Ronda in and build the entire division around her, this is what happens when she leaves. They sacrificed the development of their homegrown talent for one year of Ronda, now no one gives a shit about that homegrown talent anymore.

They sacrificed the development of their homegrown talent for one year of Ronda, now no one gives a shit about that homegrown talent anymore. I could argue not a lot a people gave a shit about the women's storylines prior to Ronda getting there either. Sure Becky/Charlotte/Sasha/Bayley had good matches but remember the garbage storyline where Alexa did a This Is Your Life segment for Bayley, who was afraid to kiss a boy & ultimately was afraid of a kendo stick in a Kendo Stick match? Also 2017 was dominated on SD by Ellsworth & Carmella, it had random tag matches, elimination matches, they hot potatoed the title on that brand.
They dropped the ball not having women who worked Ronda come out of it looking better & building storylines from there. Ronda rightfully steamrolled everyone, which made the ultimate loss seem important, but they've done jack shit with this division since Mania. Sure they sacrificed a year of development as you said, but do you honestly believe things would've been better? Their track record for women's storylines is shit. 95% of women feuds is bitchy/caddy scrapping.
Becky has cooled off significantly & that's due to working with a girl who should've been in NXT another year. And now Becky is "Seth Rollins' Girlfriend", who the flying fuck cares?
Now they dusted Nattie off their shelf of toys to put her in the title picture randomly, despite her being relegated to Main Event the past few months and force a feud out of thin air for a few weeks to try to make you care. Bayley & Ember seems to be a babyface vs babyface story, which never works.
For being a "revolution" it's grown super boring. It wasn't when Ronda was there. They've failed to capitalize on her drawing power.

After six months of being in the business, Ronda's biggest flaw was not moving her arms when she walked. Impressive.

Nothing you say about the booking is incorrect. I guess I should have prefaced my statement with "In a perfect booking world", because their track record for booking women's wrestling has been shit. I guess I just look at the women's roster and I see how over they were in NXT and how well-booked they were and I'm looking at the talent and saying "Damn man, they really didn't need Ronda." But again, that's if main roster women's wrestling were being booked like NXT women's wrestling, which we know isn't the case.

Yeah it's not the case of having 3 or 4 women who can really wrestle, they have a lot of talented girls in both WWE and NXT, but it's always been a weakness of creative.
It's either relegated to calling the other girl "bitch" or something dumb like making fun of their weight (remember Piggy James?). Hell they had Paige make tasteless comments about Reid Flair for fuck sake. It's something they've never been good at. With Ronda it was simple, go out there and beat people up.
NXT has been fantastic storyline wise. The Io/Shayna feud was great and now they've incorporated Candice and they have a feud that doesn't even need the title.

Tell me if you've heard this one before...
WWE will issue their usual statement about how he's responsible for his actions, yada yada yada, then crack jokes about the arrests a few months later (i.e. Cena this past Monday), but fuckin A man, I don't have any patience or time for people who pull this shit on multiple occasions.
Dude needs to get his shit together.

Yikes. Perhaps he needs an intervention. WWE needs to stop enabling him. There needs to be some kind of consequence this time.

WWE released a brief statement to F4WOnline: "Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions."
Due to this story pissing me off. I refuse to take my cookie for calling that response right on the fucking nose.

More story on this dumbass...
Pensacola, FL, TV station WEAR-TV released more information from the police report regarding Jimmy Uso's arrest Thursday morning for DUI and an unlawful speeding citation. Uso (Jonathan Fatu) is scheduled in court on August 15th and was given a bond of $1000.
At 1:30 AM, an off-duty officer advised an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputy about a vehicle driving in excess of 100 mph on Interstate 10, drifting from left to right and going out of its lane. The car eventually pulled into Ticket Sports Bar but by the time the deputy arrived, it had left. The deputy later saw the vehicle turn onto Highway 297A, rapidly accelerating (clocked at 86 mph in a 45 mph) and coming very close to hitting another vehicle.
After the deputy pulled Fatu over, he noted Fatu had issues holding his license, registration, and proof of insurance. He had bloodshot and watery eyes, droopy eyelids, dilated pupils, and slow/slurred speech according to the deputy.
The deputy said he could smell an alcoholic beverage from the driver side window and asked Fatu several times to step out of the car. When he did, he appeared to be unsteady and the deputy asked him to ride with him to a flat parking lot to do a field sobriety test. Fatu agreed and then was reportedly confused and didn't know what was happening, asking if he needed a lawyer and if he was being detained.
According to the report, Fatu took out his phone and attempted to put it toward the deputy's face. At that point, he was arrested for DUI and became uncooperative, eventually getting into the police vehicle after being asked several times.
Fatu said he was uncomfortable with the police vehicle and wanted to speak with another deputy. The arresting officer said he had to roll down his back windows due to the overwhelming smell of alcohol in the car.
WWE's statement Thursday: "Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions."
