I've got a new idea for King of the Ring. Owens overcomes tremendous obstacles to win King of the Ring. Owens is at the top of the stage for an interview with Michael Cole. Cole says how impressive it was for Owens to overcome the odds and it must feel great to be King of the Ring.
Owens says he wishes that was true, but it's not 1996. The King of the Ring is a goddamn joke. "You seriously want me to run around with a crown on my head? A stupid cape. A gimmick septor? Winning today doesn't make me a bogus King. It makes me the man to wake this company the *bleep* up. If we are going to live in the past, there are people happy to take our spot. Frankly I don't care if you fans like me or not, but I want you to be part of something. The WWE is changing for the new generation. Here's what I think of the King of the Ring crown."
Owens proceeds to light the King of the Ring chair and robe on fire and let's it burn on stage.

Taker is randomly coming back on the go home Smackdown for Clash of Champions in a few weeks. Maybe The Fiend attacks him and puts him out of action for a while? Then we get Bray promos on him until Survivor Series or something?
Then again isn't Taker back at the SD debut on FOX? Maybe they do the attack then?
I just don't want them to rush it.

Can you imagine them doing the Savage/Liz wedding, then at the reception they're opening gifts, Becky opens one and Rambling Rabbit pops out, lights go out and The Fiend is there.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but if they're coming back, I'd rather them be on the main roster than NXT.
I don't want Fish & O'Relly jobbing to these two dorks.
Then again if Street Profits get called up, that only leaves Undisputed Era, Breezango & Forgotten Sons as the tag division in NXT.

Ahead of SmackDown moving to Fox and NXT moving to USA, there has been talk of WWE going back to a ‘hard brand split.’ According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE officials are discussing holding a WWE Draft in September to give Raw and SmackDown more-defined rosters:
“Right now there is a concept of another draft type of thing to build permanent Raw and Smackdown rosters. What we were originally told is that they wouldn’t be making major changes, but some changes, but this is Vince. Everything is being kept quiet and USA and FOX will be the first to know when the concept is decided.”

Pro Wrestling Illustrated revealed that Seth Rollins took the top spot in their annual PWI 500 list. This marks the second time Rollins has been at the top of the list, previously topping the PWI 500 in 2015. Rollins finished fifth last year. 2018 was topped by Kenny Omega.
Rollins had a strong year in terms of in-ring accomplishments as he won the 2019 Royal Rumble and defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 to capture the WWE Universal Title. The eligibility period runs from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, which means Rollins' SummerSlam victory over Brock Lesnar would not have been factored into the decision making. Rollins was also an Intercontinental Champion and Raw Tag Team Champion during the eligibility period.
The WWE Universal Champion told PWI, "As difficult as it can be, this is all I ever wanted — to be in this position, to be having this conversation with you — talking about being the absolute best wrestler on the entire planet. I don’t think there is a single part of me that would trade any second of it.”
Rollins first appeared in the PWI 500 in 2008, finishing at No. 88. He has appeared on the list every year since, never falling outside of the Top 100. He has been in the Top 20 in each of the last six years.

I remember when the PWI 500 was my favorite magazine of the year to rush to the store to get. I remember in 1997 they listed Dean Malenko at #1.
They've always had super weird choices to get people riled up. I disagree with all the Top 4. Rollins could arguably be Top 4 but not the top spot.
No Ibushi, no Cole, hell I'd put Ishii up there. Ospreay should be Top 3.

They have a PWI Women's 100 list of the Top 100 women's wrestlers they put out. Not sure when it'll be out this year. Last year's Top 10 was Ronda Bliss Charlotte Io Shirai Asuka Shayna Carmella (remember this was last year when she had the title) Nia Jax Mayu Iwatani Kairi Sane |
