1st episode of NWA Power is delightfully campy.
It really harkens back to the old days of NWA wrestling.
Hopefully the commentary improves and cuts down on references to studio wrestling every 5 minutes.

Maybe turn the crowd lighting down too.
I want that old feeling.

Such a fantastic looking show.
Ha! They even did the Lord Alfred Hayes "promotional consideration" bit.

Meant to post in here I watched it late last night. I liked the presentation. I'm not a Cornette fan in every other possible way, but he's an excellent commentator so I'm fine with him.
Main event was a great story told. Liked Eddie Kingston popping up on the show I don't care for the Wild Cards Eli Drake is a good entertainer Opener brought back squash match memories James Storm match I didn't care for, but I like him
Positives far outweighed the negatives. I'll check it out again next week.

A good moderator would've moved the older posts in the indy wrestling thread into this one.

Starting Ep 2 now.
I name drop Sandow in the AEW thread and he pops up first in the NWA!
Ricky Starks vs Trevor Murdoch starts us off. Haven't seen Murdoch in probably 10 years.

2nd episode was solid again.
Sandow and Mr. Anderson appeared, along with Cabana.
I need less references to Studio Wrestling.
And the crowd mic and lights could go down.

Starks is a good promo, match was meh.
Cabana wrestling Sal Rinauro gives me Wrestling Road Diaries flashbacks.
Haven't seen Anderson wrestle since TNA. Fun little squash tag.

How Allisyn Kay didn't get signed with NXT or WWE after the Mae Young Classic is beyond me. She's great.
Homicide & Eddie Kingston vs Bram & the other guy, never heard of him really. I know Wildcards had a squash last week but it went so fast I didn't catch the guys name then either.
I just know Bram from used to being married to Charlotte Flair and also he was in the original Ascension with Konnor before he got fired & Viktor took over.
Kingston & Homicide are obviously fantastic

Didn't care for the finish of the main event.
Aldis' post match promo last week was much better than this weeks. He's just bickering with the interviewer. He's the World Champ, stop that. I will say, despite being almost orange, that Kamille is delightful.
There's so many former TNA people on this show that it's going to take me a bit to shake those images.

STATEMENT BY NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE ON JIM CORNETTE Over the last few days, a situation was brought to our attention in regard to comments made by Jim Cornette that have been taken as making light on the subject of suicide. We’ve addressed the situation internally with Mr. Cornette and made it clear that any comments in regards to this subject, joking or serious, are not endorsed by Lightning One and the National Wrestling Alliance. Mr. Cornette understands the seriousness of this situation and with that he will remain the color commentator for NWA Powerrr. Mental Health and Suicide Prevention are very important to the NWA President Billy Corgan and myself. If you’re ever needing help or need to speak with someone: The National Suicide Prevention Life Line is 1-800-273-8255 or online at suicidepreventionlifeline.orgSincerely, David Lagana VP / Lightning One & National Wrestling Alliance.

Apparently he's also "joked" about suicide in the past regarding both Robin Williams & Kurt Cobain.

Unrelated to the suicide stuff, here's Austin Aries vs Jim Cornette. My goodness. I don't even know who to root for in this. I can't stand either one of them.
