I like Dave

I haven’t listened to Eric in, maybe over a year or two? I have no clue what his thoughts are.

I tried to watch the main event because some of you really enjoy this and prior to AEW I respected nearly all of your wrestling thoughts. I’m trying to wrap my head around what I’m missing here. I’m Romney watching my fellow republicans drool over Trump.

Oh I've addressed that numerous times on here. I absolutely DO NOT like to listen to him audibly. He's a horrific speaker. I generally like the rest of his work though.

I could give a huge explanation why it was one of the best endings to a Dynamite in ages, but if your mind is made up, there’s not really a point.

Actually the end of dynamite and all that was fine. But all the wrestling leading up to it was just meh. I appreciated the ending but to get there was just not all that great in my opinion.

Someone made a suggestion that Dave cut star points off if a match has moves that could literally cripple someone. Not a bad idea.

Dave continues to point to this 2013 article as proof that he is a great journalist.

Yep. And even if it's true, I go back to what I said earlier. I've been around a lot of this stuff professionally. I've been in the C-level and board meetings with PE companies as well - Billion plus corporations and much smaller as well. All this shit means nothing until you have an actual offer. You really don't have a valuation as a private company until you actually sell. And if you want to be a company that has a rock solid value, show you are profitable. There's no way in hell AEW is yet. That's not a knock by the way. They are a high spending start-up company still. I'm sure I can find a lot of way to knock down spending, but I wouldn't even think about profitability if I was Tony until after year 5 simply due to the influx of cash he has. He had a chance to accelerate growth because of that - and he did (Wembley). But this is they type of shit that drives me nuts about Dave. Kind of makes something up or has unreliable/unqualified sources and then will battle the next 20 people on twitter who question it. He's completely gone goofy. I appreciated his wrestling ratings back in the day until he fucked that up. There was a spot for him where I did appreciate what he did. I never really appreciated his rumor reporting but then wanted to be treated as a credible writer. That's where I've always had my issue with him. Just own what you are.
